Derek really puts the sex appeal back into science
He's really sexy actually.
He's really sexy actually.
+Dércio Lichucha gay
he is extremeeeeeeely sexy
He is pretty damn delicious.
Oh my word, Derek Muller is so clever! I was literally clapping my hands when he revealed the answer.
he used to be my physics teacher. good stuff derek
I thought the most interesting factoid from the radioactive places video was that smokers have a higher dose of ionizing radiation than astronauts. I wish there were time to cover that in the interview.
James Craver Wasn't that an incredible fact, being an ex-smoker I nearly feel off my chair! I could interview Derek for days on end, he's incredible! Thanks for checking out the show. Gray
* Only their lungs experience more radiation than an astronaut, but it's still an incredible fact
Did you noticed that most of the time in talk shows quests only look and talk with the dude behind the desk but Derek looked to the crowd most of the time
I'm ashamed to admit that like several others here I was sceptical to say the least when I noticed the low-budget nature of the show. However, I was SO glad to see what a great show this is! Exceting interview with a super-interesting topic and guest. I am honestly not exaggerating when I say that I'm struggling to describe how much better I think this is than all of the shiny and expensive talk-shows in the US! Combined! Kimmel, Fallon, Colbert, Meyers etc, etc. are so tame, routine and empty in content compared to this fascinating show! As a presenter I also think you bring much more passion to the show and appear more genuine and engaging than the super-famous - but also super-mainstream - talk-show hosts which are so standardised and as diverse as an XL bag of Skittles.
Keep up the good work and a million thanks for a great watch and yet another lesson not to judge a book by its cover (can't get enough of those!).
Emil Hauge Fancy Places like casinos are places more sophisticated for you then???
The host is so enthusiastic and so obviously happy to have Derek on the show, this interview really cheered me up and brightened my day.
I like how excited and laid back the host is, charming accent too.
Better than jimmy Fallon for sure.
NIZE aaayyyyy, lmaooo
i just love the way host is so intrigued by the things Derek has to say.
Do Derek literally has a PhD in making his videos. No wonder they're so good.
+SpecialJ11 PHechD*
PeeHechDei
how does he have a PhD and such a swag beard when he's only 16 or 17 years old?
+CliffJumpingProd he´s 33
+CliffJumpingProd dude he isn't that young he is at least 18 duhhhhhh
He's like 30.......
+kalin83 It is a joke...
+Isak Svensson we know
Freeze at 10:43 matches hit first.
Finally (FINALLY) got a chance to watch this today :) Great job Gray! Keep up all the great work! xox
This is such a dope idea. Honestly it's incredibly forward thinking and it kinda makes me look forward to a future where instead of millions of people tuning in to watch a Kardashian talk about who she dated on a talk show we see Nobel Prize winners and what not. When we as people finally decide to invest our time in science rather than war or shallow gossip, that's when we can really start doing some amazing things. You just EARNED a sub man!
Good show, Derek. I, as always, can't wait for your next video. Also I can't wait for your PBS shows! Way to go! Glad you're getting some (arguably) larger exposure. Keep it coming both on UA-cam and on the airwaves! Bravo!
Derk of Verastablium ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Hello Internet!
ohhhh heyyyyyy
Wow, the host seems so interactive. Nice!
We need shows like this. Thank you!
CosmicNIO Thanks so much for your nice comment CosmicNIO, I firmly agree with you, there' so much awesomeness happening in the Science and Tech space that doesn't get nearly the attention that it should.
haha, I don't know why, but I thought this interview was like already a year old. But then you started speaking of his newer videos :D
The White Piano Key Productions haha we've tricked you somehow! Yeah this his was filmed only a month or two ago. Thanks for checking out the video, hope you stick around! Cheers, Gray
It's a Year old Now!
To the gulag.
I read you comment before watching and I believed that it was a new video. But now I noticed your comment is exactly one year old! Mind fu*******.
Now it is 6 years old
the matches hit the table first , u can slow it down from the gear icon.
Dat body language though, he's so chill XD
great show! and Derek is just awesome..
allkive Thanks so much!!! And we totally agree, Derek is amazing, was such a pleasure having him on the show!!! Thanks, Gray.
Great job, let's keep it up!
06:39 "phenonema"
Dirick Malla
I would watch this show!
Dr_Boom Thanks Dr Boom, so glad you like the show and it was nice to meet you earlier tonight!
The Tomorrow Show It was good meeting you sir. Hope to see you at VidCon!
this was pretty good, he seems like a chill guy too, for an aussie haha
Swagsterbators Thanks so much for checking out the show, really glad you liked the interview - how awesome is Derek, superstar!!!
chill for an aussie? bruhhh that's like going faster than light
Derek quite bombastic here. Love it.
Veritasium /Derek if you see this the matches actually hit first at minute 10:43 slow down the video
I'm digging that guys hair
Come on, man! Bring more people. You are a great host.
Derek Muller's videos have been out for ten years, but I just discovered them a few months ago.
I like a lot of his voice in latin spanish, it's amazing, his voice sounds extremly cheerful.
Excellent show! Side note, Australian accents are beautiful. :)
awesome video
what happens to the pool on the equator, and the polls?
Amazing show mate :D
New Citadel Hey thanks so much New Citadel!!! So glad you like it!!! Thanks, Gray
i love veritasium!
anyone know what video 0:11 is from with the swirling gas.
no clue sorry
it's good to see Derek finally getting the credit he's due.
ich wiederhole: ein Kilogramm Kartoffeln, ein Liter Milch, drei Eier, neunzig Gram Butter, Salz und ... und ... MUSKATNUSS !... MUSKATNUSS, HERR MÜLLER !!!
the matches went down faster, you can even hear them touch the desk faster, it wasn't in the same time.
10:55 the camera has more air resistance and drops a little slower
Amazing show!!!!!
great oneThanks so much for saying so, it's great fun making the show, hope we get to make many more!!!
The Tomorrow Show you have to make more shows.
Evidently the wondrous magic of the hair comb is foreign in this far-away land.
Einstein set this fashion trend. I like it.
The show is made in the US.
Muller?? Nicht Müller?
Pro Gamer im englischen existieren keine umlaute, also spricht man sie nicht, aber er heißt schon mÜller
Salad Finger das gleiche mit Über und Uber, oder wie der Döner zu Doner wird
Max Kruse
und Böner zu Boner xD
+Pro Gamer I have no idea what the other two comments are saying, but this one, i completely understand
+FIFA Lords & Legends It's about the difference between "U" and "Ü" (The second letter is german) in the translation from English to German or German to English. Btw, Dereks real Name should be "Derek Müller" because "Müller" is German and means "farmer"
The water swirl was with destin too
Destin is kind of a douche
+Christian Wilson destin awesome...that guy is a idiot lol
+Christian Wilson I have no idea .
Please get the audio in sync
But, does water roll horizontally at the equator? LOL
One thing is here to ask and that is that we leave two objects from same height .one is very heavy and one is very light then two things won't fall at the same time because bigger one has more inertia and when we leave that one it will oppose the change in state for a little time and then fall over .
No…the force on each object is proportional to its inertial mass, so the acceleration (in the absence of air resistance) is the same. Check the physics and correct me if I’m wrong.
YEAR??????
I always thought Dererk last name sounded like with the German umlaut (no clue how to type it just the u with dots on top) or is this just Australian way to pronounce it
ありがとございます! (Thanks a lot!) Well, I'm learning Japanese. It's hard but nice. I'm Brazilian but I want to learn a lot of things instead drink alcoholic drinks, use drugs and have sex a lot (in here, if you're not Christian and don't do it, you're alone and strange).
It's a great show! Very nice. Gravitation and radiation are in everywhere, but it's incredible how we even know a bit little only about. I'm so thankful to Tomorrow Show to bring us fun with scientific information. And for Veritasium too, a channel that I've known two months ago! :D
So isn't this an Australian talk show ? If so why are the cars in the photos behind the set driving on the right side of the road ? In Sydney it's the left side .
The coffee cup letters read correctly so the video isn't reversed I don't think . Maybe I'm just tired and looking at it wrong , but if you were at a distance from cars driving into and out of a city in a "left side of the road country " wouldn't the cars driving on the left appear to be on your right ? So on your right you should see head lights and the lane on you ( the observer's )left you should see break lights .
@@NikkiTrudelle It's an American show.
What does phd mean
It is an abbreviation for Doctor of Philosophy. It is the highest degree awarded to someone who has completed advanced research in a particular subject.
Imagine Derek and Neil Degrasse Tyson together? It would be a chain reaction.
The premise of this show is brilliant and forward thinking.
Subbysubsub.
is there an audience??
He's lucky...having the brains and swag to get along with it.Science gets interesting when you have good presenters who present their facts straight.
Welcome to Canadur
What about it is literally on equator??
assuming uniform sphere and gravity, water goes straight down the drain
its not onöy his documentation also bionerd and i think a few other people are in this documentation
Why we're lighter in the morning (If this thread hasn't already pounded the subject to death):
While we sleep we continue to give off water vapor and physiological waste products through breathing and sweating. Meanwhile, we're not taking in any new water or nutritional matter to replace it. Therefore, of course we way somewhat less when we wake up in the morning. Part of our weight has been dissipated into the air and bed clothes/bedding.
Nice show!! But you must know that it's really hard to see this show in China~
Troy Liu use this hola.org/
Troy Liu One day I'd love to do a live show in China, maybe Shenzhen, that would be great!
+ James crave I forwarded that vedio of effects of smoking to all my patients.
10:42 That was not the same time
+TR
He was holding the big "camera" from the bottom - with his hand - so it took him some seconds longer to drop it.
Is this guy doing his hair infront of a fan?
But the interview was funny and entertaining.
Jürgen HansHAHA!!! Even I'll certainly try that, I actually cut my own hair which is why it's slight/excessively all over the place! Thanks so much for watching and commmenting!! Gray
What does Veritasium mean?
CJ Mattias The name "Veritasium" is a combination of the Latin word for truth, Veritas, and the suffix common to many elements, -ium. This creates "Veritasium", an element of truth, a play on the popular phrase and a reference to scientific elements. -referenced from wikipedia.
Thanks for watching the video!
Gray
The Tomorrow Show Smart name. My thanks!
You really couldn't find a better desk for the show...
The guy with the beard is cute.❤
Great interview but I'm not sure the host owns a comb
AJ Adkins haha one day I might comb my hair, I've cut it myself for the past 12 or so years, haha can you tell?! Thanks for saying hi! Gray.
He is so CUTE
The host has the britishest accent I have ever heard
Then you don't know what a British accent sounds like. He has an *Australian* accent.
why does this looks like tony stark and aldrich killian first meet up.
He first pronounced his name Derek Mala.
Bionerd23 did it first.@8:50
Derek Mallaah! 😂😂
I say 'hch' and I'm from Ireland 😂
If Derek had an infinite amount of money to make a video, he could make one on his space exploration (after making his space stuff)
"phenonema" 6:35
dat spree stream dough
crazyliclay Haha, multiplatform chatting!!! Welcome!
matches hit first kid
"Derek Mala". So Aussie :)
he is the epitome of that guy who hates UA-cam commenters .
I like how the host is an elf
Space-X, Space-Y? I can top that: *Space-Why-Not?!*
Most educated people in Australia don't say "haitch" either.
nO NO No the box hit first
Too bad I had to download the documentary illegally, as there was no legal way to get to the original, without any overdubbing where I live. :-(
MALA? lol
The matches hit first... -_- Because they have less surface area (nothing to do with the mass/ weight). If you dropped a piece of paper and a pin of course the pin will hit the ground first because it's not going to get the drag from the air resistance.. It was a good interview but you really spoiled it by f**king up the experiment at the end.
This is a good demonstration that proper scientific experiments are not easily done.
of course it doesnt, try explaining air resistance and inertia to an audience that doesnt know physics
You can kind of hear that this show has a very small audience! XD
in Brazil, bananas wouldn't make good scales, there are good variations on sizes
It's a good thing I suppose that the Professor grew up in Canada. These Aussies seem a bit dense.
you need a real living live audience haha
Space X, Space Y? .... Space Y not? eh? eh?
I'm gonna eat a banana and become the hulk
