I just would like to specify : I don’t defend Bryce for what he did. As a rapist, he should definitely be blamed and there’s no way we could find him an excuse. tbh I liked Bryce in this season because he tried to change but nobody is helping him change, Bryce didn’t kill anyone and is legit sorry for what he did. Even though he does need to get punished for what he did, but still he shouldn’t died...
In season 3, I found myself forgiving Bryce after hearing his backstory, and then getting annoyed at myself for it. It made me realise eventually how even though he was a horrible person who made absolutely awful decisions... his death was still a tragedy. He had just started turning his life around.
I think admitting it and taking accountability for his actions is the first thing to fixing a problem. Bryce was an absolutely terrible person, but as time went on, I think he grew up and finally realized that he was indeed a villain. That he hated himself to the point where he really wanted to die. That he could never forgive himself for what he did but wanted to try and help the people he hurt. But the thing he couldn't control was his anger, and his drinking exploited that anger to have and get what he wanted. I think all people can change, and I hope that everything I do is to redeem evil that even when you do the unthinkable, I can forgive you and hope you can change. That is why I look up to Batman so much; his whole purpose is to not kill people but redeem them. Make them Better. That is what I really hoped for Bryce, but in the end, he died for being angry at the wrong moment.
tbh I kind of feel bad for Bryce his mom and him were getting close towards the end that’s sad man he was tryna change he did horrible things yes he did but ...damn 💔.
Imma be honest, I hope there isn't a 4th season, this one wrapped the story perfectly to full circle. Hannah's rapist died but not before we learned to see him as a 3 dimentional human being too. We got to accept that revenge and justice don't always need to happen for a story to feel complete (I mean Alex and Jess facing jail time, Bryce's death wasn't justice or revenge in most people's eyes by the end of it) as opposed to the idea that we had in Season 1. The police already heard about Tyler, so the guns weren't exactly that big of a plotline potential, and Winston could very well leave the "wheel" broken and not go to the police with the info. They should leave it as it is.
@@hrejna yeah, I heard, sadly. I have no idea how they're gonna wrap the story up satisfactory after this finale, but I'll probably check it out if onlу because I've grown fond of the actors.
Yeah, the actor was just portraying a character so we can learn and aswell have knowledge on this subject of this part of the story of 13 Reasons Why which is important, and how we should take this subject seriously in our lives, so we can be able to make a difference. It's pretty bold to audition and to portray these type of roles, so that children and young people in this world can learn about these serious subjects with leaving them with the knowledge that certain actions and choices within the story/subject are not okay and should be taken seriously.
Jennifer Boissonneault it says u have an actual heart and u believe ppl can change and deserve second chances if they rlly want them 🤷♀️ Bryce didn’t deserve to die

@- princesa. You can't fix what has been done but you can amend your mistakes and one of the ways he could have done so is serve time in jail so that the victims could have some justice. Stop making excuses for him, he did what he did and should have paid the consequences for it.
THIS ACTOR DESERVES EVERY SINGLE AWARD!!! 👏🏽👏🏽 it’s disappointing that people really think that he’s Bryce Walker, but that just shows how good of an actor he is... congrats to him for this roll
As a survivor this kinda angered me that they made him seem good in the end. He broke broke people in a way they will never be completely fixed from. I would know. He may have been trying to change but that won't change the fact that he was a bad guy. He didn't deserve to die but I have no pity for his life he didn't deserve the pity.
Thank you. all those apologists can fuck off. i am a survivor myself and it’s SO upsetting seeing all those people saying shit like “he’s better; he changed” I don’t give a damn. He ruined people’s life.
@@Selenny it’s not an excuse but he had his whole life to change , the part of your brain that acknowledges repercussions doesn’t develop until your in your 20s for most people, so he still had his life to change , and didn’t know the damage he caused
@@Selenny There's a huge difference between being an apologist and recognizing when someone is changing. Absolutely nobody is defending Bryce for his actions, not a single person is doing that. Learn the difference. Just about every character in the show had a hand in ruining someone's life, I mean it WAS about how the characters drove a girl to suicide, along with other horrible things, though Bryce was considerably worse. But as I said, not a single person is defending his rapes with "but he was changing!!", it's called recognizing development.
I was mad too when I realized that they were going to try and make people feel sorry for him but the truth is he is a human and didn’t deserve to die, especially when he was trying to change.
remember when monty was beating the shi* out of winston and bryce alone couldn't stop him, and monty is the second strongest main character,( first is tony)
The whole season I was feeling bad for Bryce. But once he actually listened to Hannah's Tapes, I couldn't stop balling my eyes out. Still a human being
Tbh I cried his death, even if i hated him in season 1-2. He was becoming a better person... and his mother broke my heart too because I used to be trash with my mom as he was trash with his mom. But now i changed and i'm better than before. Bryce didn't have that opportunity. People can change.
I really cried when I heard his tape and felt for Bryce in season 3 . I saw a different Bryce . The real Bryce . And the Actor who is playing this is an amazing person in real life.
I want to kick peoples s when they feel bad for bryce. Suppose one day i will rape a tons of women and when everyones knows that and hate me for that. Then I try to change so they dont hate me anymore. This doesnt make sense at all.
I can say this guy is a terrific actor...two seasons I hated his guts and this season all I feel is like he doesn't deserve to die..and crying for him. Like the best Justin best❤️
Guys, the actor is ACTING THATS HIS JOB! He even did an interview how he was getting death threats because young stupid kids believe he is who his character is, and HES NOT. This is why kids shouldn’t even be watching this show if they are not mature enough to realize this.
This fandom taught me a valuable lesson. Try to change and suddently all the evil things you've done to others are forgiven as if you never did them. The damage that you have caused? suddenly nonexistent
Is it rlly so impt for people to be seen as a villain for past actions or teach people to start being better now? Its more impt to emphasize the actual detrimental effects on the rape victim so people are really aware of how unacceptable it is rather than emphasise on the person being evil especially when theyre actually trying to change
In season three I found myself developing a soft spot for Bryce and actually feeling sorry for him. It made me feel wrong because a rapist is still a rapist, his character still did things that can't be taken back. But I think it was important for the show to give him a redemption card in order for their to be closure not just with the other characters, but for the shows viewers as well.
This is the only web series which taught me more than enough and changed my whole perspective towards life....and the most difficult thing is to become a good person after being a bad one for your whole fuckin life coz this world don't believe that someone can really change #ripbrycewalker
that's what true understanding, tolerance and acceptance means. "Hate the sin, forgive the sinner"... We shouldn't accept any form of violence (ever), but we should try to understand where a violent person comes from.
Natalia K we should try to understand why a rapist chooses to rape? is this what you’re actually saying right now? are y’all really THAT easily manipulated by a tv show?
We're so quick to judge people and come up with these ideas of who we think they are instead of painting a holistic picture of who they are as a whole. Bad behavior is inexcusable but we're all born with the ability to do both good and evil and 13 reasons why really portrayed that very well👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 its sad that the show has ended but the many lessons taught will live on
Moral of the story: never mess up with someone in the first place because later on when you want to improve there's always gonna be a Alex who will push you in the river 😂
This just shows how many perspectives and outlooks there can be on a person, but I feel like we should focus on the good and how he was trying to grow instead of the bad and all the terrible things he did.
I really like how he was trying to be a good person, and how he was sorry after hearing Hannah's tapes, and definitely how he defended ty,he deserved to be punished, but didn't deserve to die
Everyone deserves a second chance, and he was just a lost kid...we can't ignore the fact that he stood by Justin since they were 8. What he did to Hannah, Jess, Chloe and all the other girls is unforgivable but he was tried to be better. He didn't deserve to die. When he read his mother didn't love him...I lost it....every person in the world deserves the love of their mother
It's a public secret that in a place of killers, thieves, drug dealers, mafia workers etc, rapists still get targeted by everyone in prison and sometimes guards even look away. What happened to Monty could well have happened to Bryce, change or no change. So him giving Jess that tape is to me the most redeeming thing he did all season, helping Justin with his step dad, helping Tyler with Monty, trying to help Tony somehow financially, none of that compares in my eyes. He gave her the key to his prison cell and the choice wether or not to put him in there. He probably would've pled guilty had he been alive to stand in the court room and if he had stayed consistent with his character in this season. Also he gave her said tape even after he was freshly beat half to death with two broken limbs and a concussion, how he cussed out and threatened the dude who gave him said injuries is something people super hyper fixate on and I don't get it.
Does anyone realize that when right before Alex killed him he became the same old Bryce so tbh if he survived Zach would’ve died well that’s my opinion
Yung Relik he said, “I’m gonna f his other knee up and wreck his fing life. I’m gonna destroy him.” Saying your gonna destroy someone does not mean literally. It’s a figure of speech. And that’s ignoring the fact he was in extreme pain.
This season broke me. Bryce was trying to be a better person. He began to look out for people. He knew that helping the kids at liberty, wouldn't fix what he did, but he still did it anyways. Every scene where he cried, his mother cried, the kids at hillcrest bullying him, and basically Every one calling him a monster, had me bawling. He deserved a second chance......if I could've, I know I would've given him one. Because Everyone deserves to make a better life for them and others...not just non rapists
yes. there is no definite description for what a rapist or murderer is supposed to look like. if bryce was really changing for the better, the best thing he could do is to find someone like him to change their perspectives and become actual humans with morals. to see him in this light humanizes him. but don't forget about the damage he has brought upon others. not just hannah, not just jessica, but to countless women he assaulted and harrassed. to the parents who will forever ask if they were good parents. to the friends who will forever ask if they were good enough friends. imagine being the victim of assault and seeing everyone accept and forgive the assaulter, just like that. as tragic his life may be, it will never be as tragic to the victim he assaulted. remember that.
This was the first time I have ever seen a show actually try to represent what people like Bryce go through, trying to shine a light on the things we don’t think about. Rape is the worst thing you can do, and there is NEVER an excuse for it. Period. But what they showed Bryce experiencing was true, like being so messed up and broken that even if you really want to be a good person and get better there’s just some twisted feeling inside you that you can’t get to go away. That’s rough. People never think about how hard some people want that to go away. Idk I just thought it was really cool that 13 reasons why did a brilliant job showing everything Bryce was dealing with and allowed us to feel sympathy for him, without making it seem like he was being defended in any way. It was honestly really conflicting for me but it made me think.
I just would like to specify :
I don’t defend Bryce for what he did. As a rapist, he should definitely be blamed and there’s no way we could find him an excuse.

I like Bryce this season..he was trying to be good so sad noone gave him a chance

If he wanted a chance at redemption he should’ve turned himself in during season 2.
justinchachan sad no one was willing to forgive him for being a serial rapist, “oh he had a terrible so let’s just forget that!”
@@mediawatcher9225 There's a difference between forgiving and forgetting.
Lol I wonder when he thought he should change. After the 1st or 8th rape
So the best actor's on the show are now dead. I hope in Season 4 he haunts Alex.
💯

CHARCTER DEVELOPMENT.
(I’m not excusing his actions but his character development from the start was amazing)

Guys, the actor is ACTING THATS HIS JOB! He even did an interview how he was getting death threats because young stupid kids believe he is who his character is, and HES NOT. This is why kids shouldn’t even be watching this show if they are not mature enough to realize this.
Love u man for this beautiful editing
This fandom taught me a valuable lesson. Try to change and suddently all the evil things you've done to others are forgiven as if you never did them. The damage that you have caused? suddenly nonexistent
Is it rlly so impt for people to be seen as a villain for past actions or teach people to start being better now? Its more impt to emphasize the actual detrimental effects on the rape victim so people are really aware of how unacceptable it is rather than emphasise on the person being evil especially when theyre actually trying to change
@@superx1457 Yes it is. Imagine there is a thing called consequences of your own actions. Think twice before doing something you might regret.

Everyone must be given a second chance.......he was becoming a better person and he was trying his best at it😞♥️

We're so quick to judge people and come up with these ideas of who we think they are instead of painting a holistic picture of who they are as a whole. waaaaaaaaait a minute, this is really intriguing
I really like how he was trying to be a good person, and how he was sorry after hearing Hannah's tapes, and definitely how he defended ty,he deserved to be punished, but didn't deserve to die
Justin prentice deserves one type of award for his outstanding performance in 13 reasons why.
He will never be forgiven for what he did, but he was starting to be a better person, and this is what matters.
i don’t support his past decisions, but i’m so glad he was trying to change. and i’m so sad we didn’t get to see him and how much he approved.
Ya mean your theory i think same cuz bryce would've killed zach like he said to alex
Klertic he wouldn’t have died just gotten beaten up.
Yung Relik he was going to wreck his other knee not kill him.
@@joshuaagee-bass4049 no while Alex was rescuing him he kept saying "im gonna ducking kill zach" that's why alex pushed him in
Yung Relik he said, “I’m gonna f his other knee up and wreck his fing life. I’m gonna destroy him.” Saying your gonna destroy someone does not mean literally. It’s a figure of speech. And that’s ignoring the fact he was in extreme pain.
He was an amazing actor.
everyone thinks who played bryce walker is a bad person irl but all the actors/actresses are all friends irl and support each other
This season broke me.
Bryce was ACTUALLY good for like 5 minutes
yes. there is no definite description for what a rapist or murderer is supposed to look like. if bryce was really changing for the better, the best thing he could do is to find someone like him to change their perspectives and become actual humans with morals. to see him in this light humanizes him. but don't forget about the damage he has brought upon others. not just hannah, not just jessica, but to countless women he assaulted and harrassed. to the parents who will forever ask if they were good parents. to the friends who will forever ask if they were good enough friends. imagine being the victim of assault and seeing everyone accept and forgive the assaulter, just like that. as tragic his life may be, it will never be as tragic to the victim he assaulted. remember that.

After all what Bryce did he’s still a human being he didn’t deserve to die
Oh so are you justifying his actions ?
Put yourself in jessica shoes or hannah or other girls who he raped. Put yourself in their shoes.
