awww this literally brought tears to my eyes! I think Clay and Hannah should have happened. Clay really loved her deeply and that was exactly what Hannah needed to feel loved and supported, to feel less lonely in her pain. Who knows maybe things would have turned out different. I feel that you showed perfectly that strong connection and love in this video. We can feel how badly Clay loved her and how much he was hurting when she died. I am happy you ended the video with that scene when she let's her go and finds peace. It makes sense and it calms down all of those feelings we where experiencing in the video, we find peace with Clay. Anyways, this is such a sad but beautiful video. Well done!

Everytime i watch them i want to shout Clay why he didn't kiss Hannah before.He had so many chances and she waited for his kiss you could see that at the roof of the Crestmont or when he walked her home. His love could have changed her life forever.

Jesus this was such a beautiful and emotional video! Season 2 made me start shipping Hannah with Zach more than Clay, but you perfectly showed Clay's pain and how he was feeling after Hannah's death. Though she did make many mistakes and a part of it is her fault, it was sad to see Clay change his opinion about Hannah after finding out more about her, the negative things. We're human after all, and humans aren't perfect and they make mistakes. The sad part is she'll never get to explain why she did what she did to him, and that may always leave a hole in Clay's heart :( Wonderful job with this!
WOW this is breathtaking and beautiful and heart-wrenching and wonderful. I love this tribute to Clay's grief in season 2. It reminds me of specific lines that kinda bothered me, especially since you chose to title this entire vid over one of them... I do not like calling suicide an evil thing... I think it stigmatizes having thoughts of suicide instead of being sympathetic and feeling like others around them will have sympathy helps them choose to seek help? Idk I have a lot of feelings because I've lost two people close to me to suicide. But anyway this video was gorgeous and so emotional!! One of my favorite parts is the juxtaposition of her telling him get the fuck out with him later saying it to "her"/his manifestation of grief. I also love right after the evil thing line how you matched the rest of what she left Clay, visually. And SO SO many other moments. Thank you for making this.
Thank you I'm glad you liked it. I always put a lot of thought into the videos that I make so I'm glad that came across. As for the title, it's supposed to make you click on it that's all it is. My original title was going to be "I love you, and I let you go." But that isn't reflected in the thumbnail and it was already taken by someone else. The point of this video is to point out that what Hannah did by committing suicide is wrong. I'm not saying and the quote certainly doesn't say that to have suicidal thoughts is evil because people suffering from those thoughts need help and sympathy as you pointed out. But to actually commit to the act of suicide is evil is what it's saying. "You did an evil thing." is Clay saying in very simple terms "You did a bad thing." (By killing herself) he never said having the thoughts were evil. The word Evil is more powerful than using 'wrong' or 'bad' it's conveying Clay's hurt and anger at what Hannah did. That is why I chose the title, not to stigmatise but because it was powerful.
Yeah it was a compelling title choice for sure. :) And thumbnail too, to match. And I always adore your vidding, it's always really impressive. About this one little detail though I strongly disagree. I saw you telling a suicidal person on this video itself in the comments that "it was an evil thing to do and it's also selfish" which is not a helpful thing to say to someone in that place. People who are considering suicide feel they are burdens on those around them OR that no one cares, or a little of both. Positively convincing them people care and giving them hope is one thing, but just adding more negativity of "Think of who you'll hurt" is generally not particularly effective. It depends on the person, sometimes knowing it will hurt others is the one thing stopping them from killing themselves, but this person is overwhelmed by depression and horrible emotions and thoughts, their worldview is distorted in a way that isn't their own fault, it's a mental crisis, and calling something they do while in that state evil or implying it needs forgiveness like Clay and the writers of this show did, I hate that so much. What it is is SAD, horribly TRAGIC, not EVIL. The person could've and should've been saved, but not from hell. From death. Like. Philosophies of good vs. evil are complex and whatnot but I wish about suicide now that we're in the year 2018 people could agree that a person who attempts suicide or dies this way was not exactly in a sound state of mind, and was not acting on free will while knowing and believing it would hurt others around them. They believed it would HELP others in many cases, which is horribly wrong but true of their state of mind.
Yeah we can agree to disagree on a lot of the nuance - while agreeing on the big parts of how it would be best to prevent suicides in the future and all that. Thank you for not hating me after this conversation. I really adore your vidding and strive to make a video as powerful as most of yours!! I don't like the categorizing of people into good or bad either lol... even my mother who I find very little "good" in her I prefer to call "abusive" as a human being rather than saying she's a "bad person". But it's so heavily ingrained in our culture that I do the good/bad person categorization thing all the time anyway without thinking, but whenever I do think harder about it, it feels "off" and "incorrect" on some level to just call people good vs. evil in most cases, and yet I was finding myself feeling at times overwhelmingly full of shame, because I felt like a "bad" person these past few months because I couldn't help (still) feeling love for a person who did pretty much the most "evil" thing out there... yeah I'm a walking bag of contradictions all the time, lol.

Jesus this was such a beautiful and emotional video! Season 2 made me start shipping Hannah with Zach more than Clay, but you perfectly showed Clay's pain and how he was feeling after Hannah's death. Though she did make many mistakes and a part of it is her fault, it was sad to see Clay change his opinion about Hannah after finding out more about her, the negative things. We're human after all, and humans aren't perfect and they make mistakes. The sad part is she'll never get to explain why she did what she did to him, and that may always leave a hole in Clay's heart :( Wonderful job with this!

WOW this is breathtaking and beautiful and heart-wrenching and wonderful. I love this tribute to Clay's grief in season 2. It reminds me of specific lines that kinda bothered me, especially since you chose to title this entire vid over one of them... I do not like calling suicide an evil thing... I think it stigmatizes having thoughts of suicide instead of being sympathetic and feeling like others around them will have sympathy helps them choose to seek help? Idk I have a lot of feelings because I've lost two people close to me to suicide.
But anyway this video was gorgeous and so emotional!! One of my favorite parts is the juxtaposition of her telling him get the fuck out with him later saying it to "her"/his manifestation of grief. I also love right after the evil thing line how you matched the rest of what she left Clay, visually. And SO SO many other moments. Thank you for making this.

As for the title, it's supposed to make you click on it that's all it is. My original title was going to be "I love you, and I let you go." But that isn't reflected in the thumbnail and it was already taken by someone else.
The point of this video is to point out that what Hannah did by committing suicide is wrong. I'm not saying and the quote certainly doesn't say that to have suicidal thoughts is evil because people suffering from those thoughts need help and sympathy as you pointed out. But to actually commit to the act of suicide is evil is what it's saying.
"You did an evil thing." is Clay saying in very simple terms "You did a bad thing." (By killing herself) he never said having the thoughts were evil. The word Evil is more powerful than using 'wrong' or 'bad' it's conveying Clay's hurt and anger at what Hannah did. That is why I chose the title, not to stigmatise but because it was powerful.
Yeah it was a compelling title choice for sure. :) And thumbnail too, to match. And I always adore your vidding, it's always really impressive.
About this one little detail though I strongly disagree. I saw you telling a suicidal person on this video itself in the comments that "it was an evil thing to do and it's also selfish" which is not a helpful thing to say to someone in that place. People who are considering suicide feel they are burdens on those around them OR that no one cares, or a little of both. Positively convincing them people care and giving them hope is one thing, but just adding more negativity of "Think of who you'll hurt" is generally not particularly effective. It depends on the person, sometimes knowing it will hurt others is the one thing stopping them from killing themselves, but this person is overwhelmed by depression and horrible emotions and thoughts, their worldview is distorted in a way that isn't their own fault, it's a mental crisis, and calling something they do while in that state evil or implying it needs forgiveness like Clay and the writers of this show did, I hate that so much. What it is is SAD, horribly TRAGIC, not EVIL. The person could've and should've been saved, but not from hell. From death. Like. Philosophies of good vs. evil are complex and whatnot but I wish about suicide now that we're in the year 2018 people could agree that a person who attempts suicide or dies this way was not exactly in a sound state of mind, and was not acting on free will while knowing and believing it would hurt others around them. They believed it would HELP others in many cases, which is horribly wrong but true of their state of mind.
Yeah we can agree to disagree on a lot of the nuance - while agreeing on the big parts of how it would be best to prevent suicides in the future and all that. Thank you for not hating me after this conversation. I really adore your vidding and strive to make a video as powerful as most of yours!! I really want to compliment you again on this vid here, especially how you found such a PERFECT song choice, it works so very well.
I have complicated thoughts on "Wrong" and "right" anyway and have for a long time, my take on morality is going to be different than the average person's and all that, so using the word "evil" pretty much always rubs me the wrong way, even for "indisputably" horrible, hurtful, criminal, scary things people do, the worst actions humans can take on each other, because idk I instead find other words more descriptive in the way I'd like. So I'm gonna disagree with the majority of people on the planet for that stance lol...
To me, Evil often implies too much of black & white thinking or something, or maybe implies something about the person doing the act being purely evil (can a "Good person" do an "Evil thing"? Or does doing an "Evil thing" make a person, in and of themselves, "Evil"?). I don't like the categorizing of people into good or bad either lol... even my mother who I find very little "good" in her I prefer to call "abusive" as a human being rather than saying she's a "bad person". But it's so heavily ingrained in our culture that I do the good/bad person categorization thing all the time anyway without thinking, but whenever I do think harder about it, it feels "off" and "incorrect" on some level to just call people good vs. evil in most cases, and yet I was finding myself feeling at times overwhelmingly full of shame, because I felt like a "bad" person these past few months because I couldn't help (still) feeling love for a person who did pretty much the most "evil" thing out there... yeah I'm a walking bag of contradictions all the time, lol.
I do love this video so much, I had goosebumps on it. I have watched it a billion times, and now, when I have watched it after a long time I understand why somewhen I added it to favourites
