ATEEZ, relatively speaking, are Pirates who set out on a Journey in search of their treasure, but this is more than a simple story of Pirates finding treasure. In other words, the treasure they are searching for doesn't necessarily mean it's materialistic and like every Pirate story we have the villains, and is just so happens to be the members alter egos and the darkness in the depth of the soul, like you guys saw in say my name( Real ateez and fake ateez). We even see glimpse of Ateez but in all black outfits with masks and fedora hats. Keep that in mind, that is actually Hala-teez (alter egos) who we can see in the HALA HALA music video!! ...also the whole wooyoung looking at yeosang...it is basically a member of ateez looking at a random member of hala-teez. hala hala and smn came out at the same time sans reflection, halateez across the table, and wooyoung circling yeosang in the box, IS meant to be themselves. different members acting out the roles was a decision made to smooth the mv filming process so they didnt have multiple members doing multiple costume changes a day, dragging out filming longer than necessary. it was a time saving measure, but i like seeing the theories that arise from it. the scene where seonghwa unmasks is meant to confirm that they WERE looking at themselves. (also in the scene where yunho and yeosang were back to back yeosang was standing on like a two inch platform it was adorable)

Okay I don't know it someone tell you already but spoiler: Yes they are in different dimensions AND timelines bc they can travel between them. For the moment we know they have two ver. so them and halateez but probably there are more or?? Okay so this is how it happens. Realteez are the ones who are not dressed in black pirate gear and halateez are. So halateez are the alter egos to Realteez. In SMN they are trying to figure out who is real and who is not (hence the name tags) and the yeosang that's trapped in the box is the real yeosang. The yeosang that is in sans mirror and wooyoungs "reflection" is halateez yeosang. Halateez has yeosang trapped and the rest of Realteez is trying to find a way to get him out. At the end of the MV yeosang escapes looking for Realteez. This leads us into hala hala MV. In hala hala this is about halateez revealing themselves as realteez' alter ego. There's a lyric that say "suicide squad the reality" which is generally saying that halateez(aka suicide squad) is the real ones and Realteez are the alter egos. Every MV is basically them fighting over who is real. I won't go further if you guys haven't seen the other MV's yet. Because there's a lot to cover😁

The hooded people at the front are different versions of hongjoong from different realities. If you see the feet shot, you can see that they are all wearing the same pants and shoes.
*SAY MY NAME* is their own anthem/theme song. It is a song to introduce Ateez to the world and of their long journey as pirates!! We even see glimpse of Ateez but in all black outfits with masks and fedora hats. Keep that in mind, that is actually Hala-teez (alter egos) who we can see in the HALA HALA music video!!
...also the whole wooyoung looking at yeosang...it is basically a member of ateez looking at a random member of hala-teez. But in terms of 'alter ego' theories, people focus more on when seonghwa was looking at himself.

sans reflection, halateez across the table, and wooyoung circling yeosang in the box, IS meant to be themselves. different members acting out the roles was a decision made to smooth the mv filming process so they didnt have multiple members doing multiple costume changes a day, dragging out filming longer than necessary. it was a time saving measure, but i like seeing the theories that arise from it. the scene where seonghwa unmasks is meant to confirm that they WERE looking at themselves.
(also in the scene where yunho and yeosang were back to back yeosang was standing on like a two inch platform it was adorable)

wooyoung was supposed to be being yeosangs halateez self in that they just used other members for ease instead of splicing together shots with the same members. they did this multiple times in the video, like the halateez san in the mirror is yeosang, and the halateez across the table is meant to be themselves, even though when they filmed it it wasnt. thats why the clip of seonghwa unmasking was included. to show that it WAS them

Jas, you're totally correct - Yeosang was playing 'Hala San' in the mirror (since I'm guessing they didn't want to spring for the budget to CG it) and they were halving themselves to stare at each other for that scene, probably because of budget constraints. And! Say My Name is the prequel MV story to Pirate King/Treasure (as said by Ateez themselves in their MV reaction) and that's the intro into Treasure right there at the end.
Theorycrafting is all welcome, and we can all pick something different out (I was theorizing about the school uniforms in Inception when I noticed that 3 of them were wearing like 'sailor' type uniforms - it was a Thing back in the 1500-1800s (ish) that the (British for sure, but probably others too) Royal Navy would recruit or sometimes just kidnap young teenage boys to serve on the ships - their lighter bodies were better for climbing the rigging and sails, and since Ateez said that Fever was about the Halateez universe, I had to wonder if they were nabbed from schools and forced into the military like service that we saw them in in Wonderland.) so I can definitely see what you both are saying.

you trying to solve the theories are just like me LOL, it is a lot indeed, what i know is: hala hala and say my name were released together/in the same album but in the story line they aren’t followed by each other I THINK; this album brought the first appearance of the hala ateez; the name of the song is say my name, that’s why they have name tags; yeosang in the glass box can be compared that he is trapped in somewhere like a dream or even an utopia(then we can insert the song Utopia here, and also the fog reminds the japanese MV); you can see at some part a hala boy(that is coincidently(?) wooyoung😯) outside looking at him; and yes they are seeing their alter ego through that glass, but at the same time they can be asking the hala guys to call their names so they can wake up from the supposed dream that they are, where we can insert Inception “im dreaming a dream every night” or Illusion idk the possibilities and theories are ENDLESS🥵😂

Yes they are in different dimensions AND timelines bc they can travel between them. For the moment we know they have two ver. so them and halateez but probably there are more or?? Since this is like Inception movie mixed with many movies(like Pirates of the Caribbean, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland and more and even would say the series Dark) expect to never know the storyline fully even if for a moment you think you know something analazing everything 🙃 It's an extremely complex storyline/worldview that even theory videos can't fully explain, I would pair it up with Bts and Exo ones 🤯 But still it's fun to analyze and their storyline is my favorite since they got an incredible fantasy world mixed with everything we can ever like 🥺🧡

Okay so this is how it happens.
Realteez are the ones who are not dressed in black pirate gear and halateez are. So halateez are the alter egos to Realteez. In SMN they are trying to figure out who is real and who is not (hence the name tags) and the yeosang that's trapped in the box is the real yeosang. The yeosang that is in sans mirror and wooyoungs "reflection" is halateez yeosang. Halateez has yeosang trapped and the rest of Realteez is trying to find a way to get him out. At the end of the MV yeosang escapes looking for Realteez. This leads us into hala hala MV. In hala hala this is about halateez revealing themselves as realteez' alter ego. There's a lyric that say "suicide squad the reality" which is generally saying that halateez(aka suicide squad) is the real ones and Realteez are the alter egos. Every MV is basically them fighting over who is real.
I won't go further if you guys haven't seen the other MV's yet. Because there's a lot to cover😁

But they released one of the preview pictures with a dreamcatcher in it, and the fact that the song is called ‘Devil’ pissed me and a lot of other Indigenous fans off. We’ve been trying to reach out to RBW about it but there has been no response, and the fandom has been upsettingly quiet about it as well.
