    I really like how you get right to the point and don't blast out obnoxious sounds and music. Also your speech is clear and the tempo is good for instruction.

    Thank you for making this video easy to understand. I watched another that made it seem super impossible. Your instructions were clear and concise. Installing tomorrow. Cheers!

    Bought this exact timer for my outdoor ceiling fan, and didn't have a clue as to how to match the wires. This video made it a snap, and the fan works perfectly- thank you so much!

    Question...why would you not just connect the green grounding wire into the pig tail with the other ground wires? Do you have to take one from the pig tail out and only connect one from there to the ground on the new switch?

    • @FastFixYouTube
      @FastFixYouTube  11 місяців тому

      Hello. To be honest, I don’t remember, but there was a reason for it…. Might have been a video production decision to “show the viewer.” lol, wish I could tell you! But yes, you’re right. Can connect to the pig tail 👍👍👍

    just wondering does the switch still have an always on option? like when you just hit power?

    • @FastFixYouTube
      @FastFixYouTube  3 роки тому +2

      Hello. Yes it does. It’s the small button next to the green led. Thanks for the question!

    Why didn't you ground the other switches? They were not grounded originally and the ground screws are not tightened.

    • @FastFixYouTube
      @FastFixYouTube  6 місяців тому

      Hello. They were all grounded. I wound them all together… I haven’t watched this vid in a while…my apologies if I didn’t show that step!

    Mine also has a common wire. What then?

    • @FastFixYouTube
      @FastFixYouTube  5 місяців тому +1

      Hello. Neutral/common wires will connect to neutral/common wires. On this switch, the neutral/common wire is white with a green sleeve. You remove the green sleeve, then connect to the bundle of neutral/common wires in the receptive.
      Also, my apologies for the dreadfully late reply! I assume you got things figured out in the last 6 months, but if not I hope this helps!

    What if your fan is just on and there are no LED indicators?

  • @edhale9114
    @edhale9114 Рік тому +1

    My switch will not deenergize the fan once my son used it. He pressed one button and now even turning off power at the breaker only stops operation while it is off but it turns back on when the breaker is turned back on.

    • @FastFixYouTube
      @FastFixYouTube  Рік тому

      The switch could be defective. Did it work prior to the button pressing mishap?

      @@edhale9114 the other possibility is that he accidentally programmed the 5 minute button to a very long duration. The program function isn’t something I’ve messed with, but I know it’s capable of that. Best of luck!

      @@FastFixUA-cam After attempting to reprogram about 10 times I concluded it was damanged. Therefore I ended up replacing the Eaton timer switch with a lutron timer switch and the issue is resolved. Thanks

    Timers are okay if your in a bathroom for a short time, but if it’s a long time the fan will automatically turn off, And scare you.

    • @FastFixYouTube
      @FastFixYouTube  3 роки тому +6

      Yes, I have screamed many times when the fan shut off. I think to myself, was it a ghost?! Has someone broken into my house and turned off the fan?! Has the power cut out?! The possibilities are endless and all terrifying.
