Thank you for only touching knobs you are actually turning. Thank you for not doing extra unnecessary bullshit. Thank you HOR Berlin for the variety of DJs to watch. I just started DJing and watching this is far more informative than watching someone's hands dancing all over the knobs or spinning little plastic discs.
dude... freddy is playing deep, hypnotic techno with slow transitions, therefore he doesn't have to include "unnecessary bullshit". if you prefer a more aggressive mixing style tho, this wont work, simply because you have to make your decisions on the fly, which means lots of microadjustments to fix any issues in the exact moment they first appear. just watch some early dave clarke or jeff mills sets (exhibitionist has some very educational camera angles) and maybe you will understand the difference.
Buonasera, qualcuno mi saprebbe dire per favore che brani sono questi che Freddy K suonava alla radio negli anni 90? INFO OF THIS 10 TRACKS PLEASE: ua-cam.com/video/Iwik3TalS1I/v-deo.html

Just a pair of ears, imagination and some patience to dig into the sound... I know all the prejudice, but let me tell you: what you listen to here is a real master @ work. Theres a lot of people in Berlin taking monday off to experience an 11h music journey with him whenever he's closing Berghain.
Think he'd be able to control the accuracy of the mix far better without the pucks. Adjusting the vinyl speed via the spindles is so much easier than arsing about with the edge of the platter. It's a really good idea to have a clue whether it's fast or slow, before commiting to the adjustment too. Working that mixer to good affect, but seamless? Er, no, use your ears and you'll hear it, too. Many vinyl DJs are guilty of this; bringing the next track in before it's in time and then, "Aah I can adjust the pitch in the mix and know one will hear." Most punters don't. But other DJs do. And we are the worst critics, unfortunately. Other vinyl DJs appreciate a genuine set, but preplanned? Er, no, not so much. There is something beautiful brought to the art about 'just managing to hold on to the mix', while still going for it. It's far more compelling, than a robot that can mix perfectly. The anxiety, stress bring so much to the art, but remember, you need to be going for it too. An analogy would be a bit like successfully rollerskating in a hammock, while holding a massive jelly on a salver. See, I told you you wouldn't get it. :)

And he doesn't constantly show off his dj skills as the kids these days.
