Thanks for sharing our Sawa , after our independent our government decided to have a national service for all citizens. The reason not only for military purposes but for our people purposes . Like all African we have different ethnic groups so we need to know each other to respect each other we have to think about one nation we have to work together for better or worse we are under our martyrs one people one nation. That’s why every Ethnic or person to finish
Grade 12 they must go to Sawa.& do military training in Sawa and about the. Shoes is it’s our tread mark we called Shida or Gongo you only find in Eritrea 🇪🇷 as traditional shoes for military because our fathers in struggle for freedom time they were wearing them and produced them by themselves so Shida and Camel 🐪as transport was still both of them are our tread marks 🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷 I hope you know some thing about history 🇪🇷
Prosperity to my country 🇪🇷&mom Africa

You are beautiful couples and very intelligent too, also thank you for your hard working for horn of AFRICA. God bless you.
Just for your info. Any Eritrean born in Eritrea female or male at the age of 18yrs old has to go to Sawa Academy to finish their high school education and 6 months military training at the same time. Those who pass with higher grade will attend higher education ie university level and those with lower grades will be mobilised as soldiers or civil servants for national service at a minimum wages.
It is very tough and non end situations, having said that, we are eritrean love our country dearly and will do anything that needed to be done.
I have done it, when I was 12yrs old during freedom fighting for independence in late 1970s, 1980s and 1990s . This was very common amongst Eritreans, during freedom fighting and every Eritrean family sacrificed 2 or 3 family member during those 30yrs struggle for freedom from the Ethiopian accupation.
Again thank you and Stay blessed.
    Best regards
    Yohannes

    Firstly, thanks so much 🙏.
    I'm Eritrean.
Most Eritrean people know how it uses guns and heavy weapons .
The most known place for training military is Sawa, but there are other places for the people who didn't go sawa.
Sawa has two things 1rst Education & military training.
All Eritrean students, after passing 11 grade, must go sawa to study 12 grade & do matric exams in sawa ,then people who get points ( degree ,diploma & certificate) the go back to colleges or university to complete they careers.
After they finish matric exams, every bady goes finished military training.
If girls get married, they can't stay in the military, but they can work in other stuff in public service.
The idea is that everybody must know & and be ready for any issue in the ii

The final year of high school, year 12 is completed in Sawa where the students first get military training and political consciousness training then join the classes. This is mandatory National Service for both boys and girls. Girls must go because they want reaffirm their equality.
At the end of the academic year they all sit for their national exams. Those that pass with flying colours join the 8 colleges all over the country. Those that get lower grades they join the technical school in Sawa where they do two years technical training. There are about 20 different courses in different fields. Those that fail exams join the military
