No doubt the pilot had to plop those mains down as DCA's runways are notoriously short! When I fly, just moments before touchdown, I tighten my thighs, make sure my camera is braced against the window, my elbows are digging into the armrest but even that doesn't guarantee a stable image! Quite often pilots use hard braking in quick succession, brake, release, brake again, trying for THAT particular turn-off--was this flight continuing on elsewhere? Did you visit the Air and Space Museum?
