That looks purty 😁. So…. I grabbed a bottle of Elderflower syrup yesterday to get ready for making some Welcome Back, Spring cocktails. Would love to see some ideas on how to use it.
If it's Gin, I'm definitely making it. Unfortunately, empress gin is not available here. However, to enjoy the effect I have a bottle of Gin infused with butterfly pea flower. It's darker, rich and tastes refreshing. Cheers!!
@@matteo-er1lm the original recipe calls for GIN - 150ml Butterfly pea flower - 14 flower Shake and infuse it for 4 hours. If you want to make a bottle of 750ml Flower close to 50 pcs. Leave it for 4 - 5 hours. I usually infuse it for 24 hrs for rich, darker and fragrant infusion. Cheers!!
Although I’m not a big fan of gin and rarely if ever drink it-this drink looks interesting (& tasty). Does it have an over powering gin taste or does the sweetness of the Malibu, cranberry & simple syrup cut it down ? Also do you have to use Empress 1908 Gin (I assume yes because of the blue color) ?
Andrew, you could use what ever gin you want, For example a a London Dry would work as well. The cranberry juice will give it the red colour. Definitely give this one a shot.
@@boozeontherocks I have 3 bottles of Tanqueray (that were given to me as gifts over the years) as well as a bottle of Bombay Sapphire. I’ll give this a try this coming weekend & report back.
Hi David, looks good, but I can’t get Empress gin in England. The cranberry juice should give it a pink colour. I will try it in the coming days. Nick from York
Hey this cocktail looks terrific Dave!! Having just debated about the flavour of Empress 1908 with some UA-cam cocktail show creators!! - this is a wonderfully times video!! I like this gin in some cocktails. This is going to be delicious!! Cheers!! :-)
Good point about photos of food and drink not being accurate a lot of times. One thing that annoys me about my phone's camera software is that it oversaturates photos and makes them look really fake. If I take a photo of the same thing with my camera, it looks a lot more realistic. I have a bottle of Cruzan coconut rum with about an ounce left. I think I know how I will use it up.
Ooh. This is pretty and sounds delicious
Thank you very much, I think you would like this.

I wish I had daily deliveries, It did turn out really good :)

Nick, go for it. You don't have to use the Empress 1908 gin, Use what ever you enjoy.
Nick, check Amazon over there. They sell pea flower extract and that works in the same way! Use it with your favorite gin!

I think this might be one of my favorites! Can I sub out the simple syrup for sprite/seven up?
Sure, Swap pout the Soda Water for a Sprite/7 Up. You might need to add some sweetness. try it first. you can always add the simple syrup later.
What cocktail were you trying to recreate?
I was aiming for a long style of the Cosmo and just decided to go wit it. I tested it out on my family and neighbors.
