  • Today on our off grid homestead my wife Heather and I were in our wood lot doing what we love to do..playing with our snowmobiles, Heather was on her Elan and I was on my Ski Doo Alpine ( AKA The Snowbeast )..Heather was pulling the plastic sleigh while I was pulling our homemade trail drag, but when we returned home I realized That we had the Sasquatch in our yard...sitting on our log trail even lol.

I used to own an older 250cc single snowmobile, I don’t remember the manufacturer. That was about back about 1985 or so, it was fun! I got it, it had been sitting for many years, it just took cleaning out the fuel tank and carburetor and it ran nice! I sold it when I moved to somewhere with less snow! Now I live in Arizona all year with no snow. I kind of miss the snow but not the cold!

Heck Yeah the smaller sleds turn WAY Better ! That Alpine takes 40 acres to turn around ( the 1 Ski & all )

I have owned several snow machines including an Alpine.
I used them in my logging business to cruise timber and
lots of other work. The air conditioner worked great on all
of them, but the heater was not that great.
My old Alpine did not have reverse, all steel so you had to
make sure that you had a turnaround spot.

Cecil .y drags is 2, six foot plastic culverts ties one behind the other. The culverts are 20 inches in diameter and make a nice groves trail. I use them to groom my landing strip in winter for my ski plane. Works good. Plus they were free, since my town ship dug them out and they were too short for their needs.

  • @johnb5519

You cant beat the pulling power of a snowmobile torque converter system, with tracks. As long as you have traction, they will pull. I had an old 1970 Moto-Ski Capri with a single cylinder Hirth, and I could pull three decent size trees out of our bush, back to the farm, no problem. The only trouble with those older machines is the tracks didn't have very deep lugs.

Hi Heather & Cecil. Looks like you had a good day sledging. Fun days are always welcome on the off grid property. Make the most of them. I have two of my kids with covid at the moment , so they are self isolating as i type. My wife and i are servants to them as they have to stay in their bedrooms upstairs and deliver all their needs as requested. But thanx to the fact that they have had two jabs and the booster jab , they are feeling just fine. We are doing latarol flow tests every day and so far are o.k. any how. Take care and keep safe. :-))

Parkinson 1977 - I was watching the video and read your post. I wish for your children a speedy recovery and sleep for you folks.... grin. For some reason I didn't expect you to say they had 2 shots, a booster shot, and they had Covid at this time. I guess the shots aren't expected to keep people from getting these viruses anymore. Need to adjust my thinking, I guess. I hope the booster works better to protect them and they don't have to take anymore. Anyway, have a great 2022.

At 25:51 he’s standing right in front of the pile of snowy boards by treeline. His hair on his legs have a grayish tint but you see his feet right in front of the snow covered wood like pile. He’s reddish brown and very tall. He’s in front of treeline. People keep asking me so pause it right at 25:51 look! He’s at least 8ft.

Thanks, Read the tittle and the description...I don't think it's misleading, my regular viewers named my white snowmobile the Snowbeast...and they named this machine Sasquatch. Cheers!

There's lots of sign seen on this vid. Along your cut man made trail, you can see markers of tree structures obviously made by the people sasqua. Especially what looks to be fallen trees but its thy log of a tree resting on its stump and markers of branches pointing a certain direction to cut across thy trails that has been cut. Another sign is that youll see a dead tree a broken half of a tree or busted at its very end of thy stump just above the roots will be resting on another tree marking a animal trail, most time that is. And others looking like blinds where they some what look like a stacking of branches thats not to obvious to the naked eyes of human beings. Or even an old rootball stump that was part of a fallen tree which usually is cut a couple feet or yards from its base are stacked with pieces of branches that are leaning across or leaning on thy rootball stump making it more of a camouflaged spot for them or it could be just a sign of them being around to ward other that they are within the area tho its just enough for thy sasqua to recognize unless you know what to look out for. When you relly start looking out for these oddities of tree structures. You'll start to recognize whats natural to the enviornment, to what is not natural other than it has to be hand made. tho humans wouldn't bother to do something of that sort, but, a sasquatch would... tree structures is impart of ther language. Identifying trails, paths, territory, signs, barriers, or even cover and shelter etc. Think about it if they can Grow up to being 9ft tall they would have no problem stepping over something that is 3ft tall. Making it impossible to follow there track in whatever condition of obstacles they set foot to. What they can over step we human would have difficulty like for instance a border of brush they can easily step or leap over while we humans would end up stopping in our tracks ultimately losing trail or just plainly give up by thy difficulty of how thick thy brush can be... Definitely tho, there's neighbors amongst where you live friend..
