@@twowaymirrors Is there a huge difference? I'm ok if it a only casts a few reflections before fading out. * Can't seem to find a place where I could buy Glass Two Way Mirrors here :( *
Two questions: Won't people see leftover streaking or spotting from chemicals in the solution you spray on the clear glass before you apply the film, and can you cut the two-way mirror into smaller pieces After you apply the film, or will the film on the glass tear, warp or come up? I want to make extremely small two way mirrors, but don't think I can apply the film properly to such small sizes. Thanks for any input you might have.
Hi! There are minimal bubbles and streaks, but they do sometimes appear. It just depends on how well it is applied, but it's not from the solution. Mostly from the actual application. You would need to cut the film before applying, unless you are cutting extra off the edges :)
I bet you own beautiful expensive mirrors. I dont know if u made a video about it but you should show us your mirrors and really expensive ones....i would love to watch that
lets say i have giant glass bubble and i cover with the 2 way mirror film, is it possible to look inside the bubble from the outside? thanks for the help
One question: If I put my camera behind the glass with the mirror film, I can record a video of me in front of the mirror? In other words: The vision by the camera is clean and transparent like a regular glass?
Can you use this when making a teleprompter? We don't have beam splitter can't find a place buying beam splitter but I see lots of film used in wall glass and film in car windows.
I'd recommend getting the Teleprompter Glass. Our films are not very transparent so it would degrade the video quality if you are using it to record videos with.
Can you put the mirror film on so that the film is on the backside of the glass? Instead of the front? Thereby, making it more like a regular mirror? We want to use for surveillance and we don't want anyone to be able to scratch the film off.
Great question! When you touch the reflection of a two way mirror your finger will touch its reflection directly. When you touch a standard mirror, your finger will not be directly touching it's reflection. You will see a double image.
The narrator in the beginning of the video is so beautiful...... i forgot completely what video i was watching and what i was doing.... whats her name??? i think i love her
Where can we purchase the film and spray shown in video? Also, can you use plexiglass or acrylic instead of glass? We are diy’ing I huge DJ booth and we want a TV in front of the 2 way mirror. Will this work? and if we decide is there a link to just order the two way acrylic/glass (hoping acrylic rather than glass if we can)
Thanks guys! I want to put led lights on the back perimeter of a floating mirror, (mounted a couple inches from the wall. )I also want it to be a smart mirror, using an old cell phone. But am I correct in assuming that the led light will take some of the reflective property from the mirror side because the light will be coming through from the back?
Sounds like a cool project! Yes, the reflection will appear to be decreased but only in the areas where you see the light (eyes tend to focus behind the mirror to the light)
Will it work If we just simply apply the film on a mobile phone screen. Switch off its a mirror , switch on its a phone screen. Could be a great sun protector for the phone, show it, might get a like ( 👍) from me. Could get thousands of views.
I wish I could tell you it works well on a phone! Unfortunately, making your phone a two way mirror will increase the glare by making it a mirror surface. It would make a good Smart Mirror though!
The two way mirror film turns it into a two way mirror. If the lighting is the same on both sides it will appear transparent (not like a mirror). One side must be darker to achieve the mirror effect on the other side.
We offer two types, outdoor privacy two way mirror film www.twowaymirrors.com/two-way-mirror-film/ and directional infinity mirror film: www.twowaymirrors.com/infinity-mirror-film/
you have failed to inform the human what solution you are using to clean the mirror and what solution you are using to adhere the film to the glass. is it vinegar? hair spray? water?

Happy to help! Infinity Cubes look the best with Glass Two Way or Glass Smart Mirrors. The film is great for prototyping though 😊

I've seen it where you leave laminate edge & peel while placing.. Squeegee along.. Less bubble squeegeeing...

You'll have to use a gilding process to achieve that effect, but definitely possible!

One question: If I put my camera behind the glass with the mirror film, I can record a video of me in front of the mirror?
In other words: The vision by the camera is clean and transparent like a regular glass?
Danilo, the two way mirror film is only 5% transparent so it would look darker when it is recording through the film.
Is this a good combo with smart mirrors? Was thinking of using this in combination with a cut log to make a smart mirror
Hi! We offer a Smart Mirror glass that is designed better for Smart Mirror projects! You can check it out on our website! Twowaymirrors.com

Could you tell me approximately how thin the two-way mirror film is? I need it for a school project, thank you.
It's less than 1mm thin. ☺

Just a standard mirror film application kit, available from your local hardware store.

can the film be applied on an acrylic surface?
Samuel, we don't recommend applying it to acrylic. It tends to bubble over time.
Slow down, using a flashlight during EACH step to see the progression or effect. A couple of techiques I saw was great, but you never mentioned them.
Thanks for the tips!
What is the solution that was usee before sticking the film?
A standard window film installation kit works fine!
