- The Winter morning routine at Moat Grange farm is a long one, as all the animals are indoors. The cows need to be milked, every animal has to be fed, and every shed has to be cleaned out. Here we share what happens every morning at the moment on our 300 herd Welsh dairy farm.

At this time of year I often go for a walk around the lanes around Cilgerran between 5 and 6am. If I am a bit late I see the guys at Daioni arriving and feeding the cows. It's kind of nice to see other people doing this kind of work ie getting their hands dirty and making a product. It's not easy and agriculture has its own set of challenges. Good luck

Such hard work lots of capital and dedication when you’ve done a days work and you’ve put thousands of litres of milk into a tank ready to be picked up for public use. You really do feel as though you’ve done something. Whether getting paid fairly or not, is another question from uncle Dave.
