We are Roger and Angharad, a couple team sharing day to day life on our 300 herd Welsh dairy farm with milk vending and on farm gelateria.
Roger has lived and breathed farming his whole life. He is a proud fourth generation farmer at Moat Grange, his family dairy farm in the Welsh countryside. Angharad is a Law graduate and former TV director. She now runs the direct to consumer enterprises on the farm - milk vending, gelato (Italian style ice cream) and food events!
We hope to show you how milk is produced through sharing our day to day life on the farm - connecting you to the land once again. We hope you enjoy, and if there’s anything you’d like to know/ see, please ask :)

Muck spreading, ploughing, fibrophos, fertiliser, sowing and praying for some warmth to get the crops growing!! The whole process of getting crop seeds into the ground. So good to work with all these hard working individuals to keep feeding the nation!! We hope you enjoy :)
FIRST CUT SILAGE 2024

Finally we have our first cut silage video! A very important day in the faming calendar - ensuring a good crop of silage for next Winter's feed. We show the process from mowing, tedding, harvesting, carting, tipping, rolling, sheeting down. It's such a good feeling to get it all in the pit!! Selling some store cattle and dairy heifers at the mart. We have had a lot of stock here over Winter, so (although difficult as always) it's good to reduce numbers and move them on to pastures new. Apologies for no video last week - we have had an incredibly busy fortnight on the farm between everything!! Thank you for watching as always. We hope you enjoy :)

We have FINALLY turned the cows out at Moat Grange - our Welsh Dairy Farm. It's the BEST DAY of the year for us dairy farmers. And it's quite a sight seeing 300 cows sprinting out of the sheds to get to grass after being in all Winter!! It's been a looooong Winter, and Spring is so welcomed! The afternoon calf feeding routine as of mid March on our Welsh Dairy Farm. All of this season's calves have now been born, most have been weaned off milk but there are a lot of mouths to feed! Dairy cows have their own nutritionist! And our nutritionist - Mathew Van Dijk - joins us in this video to explain exactly what the Moat Grange cows have been eating every day over Winter, and why they need each ingredient. Angharad goes off farm to a ‘Pancake day’ event on the county showground, teaching 1000 children about food and farming with lots of other Pembrokeshire farmers. Such hard work lots of capital and dedication when you’ve done a days work and you’ve put thousands of litres of milk into a tank ready to be picked up for public use. You really do feel as though you’ve done something. Whether getting paid fairly or not, is another question from uncle Dave.
