2:51 Referring to the table you've provided, just wish to clarify: Scenario 1: Say I'm getting an MM2H silver tier, which has a min purchase price of RM600,000. I want to buy a strata title in Penang Mainland. Is my min purchase price RM600,000 (MM2H req), RM400,000 (middle column) or RM 1million (right column)? Scenario 2: Say now I'm getting the platinum tier, which has a min purchase price of RM2,000,000. I want to buy a strata title in Penang Mainland. Is my min purchase price RM2,000,000 (MM2H req), RM400,000 (middle column) or RM 1million (right column)? What's the rule of thumb here? Sorry it's all so confusing. Hope you could give a more comprehensive answer.
2:52 Hi Vinleon, so the rule of thumb here is to follow the higher price point. MM2H has set a blanket price for Malaysia, however, each state has their own minimum price. Not all foreigner that buys property wants MM2H. So they will follow the middle column. For those applying for MM2H you can refer to the column on the right. This applies to both scenarios that you’ve mentioned. Hope this helped clear things up.
@@TheNazrinrazaliYour table says in Selangor zone 3 minimum threshold for foreign buyers is RM2 million. But for the purpose of MM2H it says RM1 million. That's confusing can you explain.
@@TravAlligator Hi! This means that if you're a MM2H visa holder, you can purchase a home in zone 3 with a minimum price of RM1million. If you dont have an MM2H visa, your minimum purchase price in zone 3 is RM2million.
Hi Mr.Razali , We had come across your videos which very very helpful. We were wondering if you have contact of any registered agents for mm2h as we plan to make a move soon with children for their schooling as well. Thank you
This was a valuable information of the minimum purchase price of different states. Thanks for the info. The states should not make their minimum purchase higher than the visa requirement and they should not limit to only new development. So, if you buy a property in one place, can you rent it out and live somewhere else? Or renting is not allowed?
@@TheNazrinrazali Isn't renting considered as a business and therefore not allowed? Especially like AirBnB short term renting. Secondly, on the rental income how much do foreigners have to pay tax in Malaysia?
Hi, good question! So for funds brought into Malaysia it’s tax free! If you are staying in Malaysia and earning, you will have to pay tax. I’ll be making a video on this soon. Tax systems are very complicated 😅. Do subscribe to stay updated! 🙂
Thank you for the informative video! Do you know if Malaysia is accepting applications for this revamped MM2H program? If not, is there a timetable? Thanks!
Hi! Yes, Malaysia is accepting applications all year round. You can apply anytime. Best to use an official agency as they will handle the entire process for you.
@@TheNazrinrazali Thank you for your response! Does Malaysia provide a list of approved agencies? Just wondering how to find a legitimate agency since I’ve heard there are some illegitimate agencies or agencies that price gouge their customers…
Hey brother! Sure, here is one agency that I’ve found to be very long in this business, it’s called “1 Alliance MM2H”. Just mention Naz sent you! There are a few others on the MOTAC website too. www.motac.gov.my/en/check/mm2h Hope this helps!
So for 5 years in silver tier you only allowed to live in Malaysia for 90 days per year, after 90days you need to exit and comeback again for NXT year?
This is a minimum stay. You have to stay in Malaysia for a minimum period of 90 cumulative days. Means you can go in and out of Malaysia, but must spend a total of at least 90 days here.
Bro I want to know if any foreign property can be purchased in Malaysia without MM2H especially in Selangor and how to do it please let me know it would be very helpful for me.
If you are not applying for MM2H, you can still purchase any property you like. Just note that each state has a minimum purchase price. You can check out my other video where I explain how foreigners can purchase property in Malaysia. Hope this helps :) ua-cam.com/video/KtlUlObSeOo/v-deo.htmlsi=tBj8vd4XOyz4gu29
