As long as you understand the context it should be good (I hope so). In my latest videos I always try to add subtitles for those who can't understand my accend properly).
Wow! I was looking about coloring, and I searched here because I only found a way creating one material for each different color. Wich only is more than boring. I didn't knew there was just something to activate to directly color with the strokes. It's only a little detail but I wouldn't have figured it without your video. So thank you!
can you help me? I made a 2d animation and now I wanted to color it. I have version 2.81 and there is no vertex color. I downloaded version 2.9 and did a test on a new file and the vertex color works great. I opened my 2d animation with the new version of blender 2.9 and the vertex color does not work (I switch from "paint mode material" to "paint mode vertex color" but it continues to color with the color of my material, despite me on vertex color I change the color ... and obviously the "tint" option doesn't work either). Yet with a new file it worked! Then I tried to open a new file and then hang my 2d animation and this way the vertex color works. Can anyone tell me why? Why if I open the old file with the new version of blender the vertex color doesn't work while if I open a new empty file (always of the new version of blender) and then I hang the objects made with the old version then it works?
Man, idk what I’m doing wrong, but just clicking the symbol for vertex mode or on tint brush doesn’t seem to work. If I click for vertex mode the brush keeps acting like a material is being used, the tint brush just doesn’t do anything at all (I’m using 2.9alpha from May 1st). I don’t know if it’s something with my computer, a setting I’m missing, or if this one build is broken. Shame, this looks cool.
Hey Dark_Mink. The vertex mode is very sensitive. For example: If you select the Pen brush and the Vertex mode, it is possible that it won't work because there may be a setting witch don't fit properly. By clicking on vertex mode and the color palette pops up, there you find a 'mode' button as well. If you selected there 'fill' (for example) then it won't work. It have to be 'stroke' for correct use of the tool. The tint brush hase as well a option for 'stroke' and 'fill' as mode selection. It is always important to select 'stroke' for strokes and 'fill' for fills. Otherwise it won't work....
I love how every Blender tutorial on youtube is done in the most wild accent imaginable.

@@25games Yes I can understand fine, it's a very good video. I was just being silly really, but I can see how my comment could be taken the wrong way.
@@25games your butt must be hurting

You might be in Solid Viewport Preview, use LookDev or Rendered Mode for the vertex color to show up

There is setting called mix factor near the colour selector. If its zero, the colour won't appear.
tint brush tool does not work....
I wish this would work for me. Blender programs after 2.8 don't work on my computer :T
This sounds bad. Why it dosn't work on your PC?
