post 2007 engine is full counterweighed, better all round so has higher rev from factory over pre 2007 qr25de. You can also delete balancer, run extra inlet cam on the exhaust side, headers, larger tb and 6mt. 210hp is reliable all day with these engines. After that you need better rods, high comp pistons (some models are already higher comp), valve springs and Inlet can be re-ground for 230-240hp. Early motors are best kept under 6k you are right.
Yes I've certainly looked into the potential of the later versions, but I'm going to start with this model and go from there. I can buy engines for a couple hundred bucks. I will be boosting the engine and chasing 300hp ish I've found where I can get the upgraded rods and parts I will need. Thankyou for your input though and hopefully it can help someone else aswell
Yeh I own an xtrail as well good car. As for turbo t35 is what I was looking at. Unfortunately the build has been put back for a bit but I'm going to be turbo charging the v6 motor in my car for now and see if I can grenade it haha. Then I have to build the qr25
I have a Nissan Altima 2.5s, I am planning on buying a qr25de block and building an engine to swap into my Altima eventually. It’s too bad I have never built anything car related 💀 I just really wanna make the car fast. Can’t wait to see this build progress hopefully it will help me 👍👍
Just got a spec v so im more than stoked and eyeing for another vid with what you did to the qr25
Enjoyed this video from the US with a Spec V. Any updates on the build?
so have you built it yet ?
looking into building a fully built qr25
waiting to see this build as it progresses
Cheers mate, she's going to take a while but I appreciate the intrest. There isn't a big aftermarket for this motor so might be some one of parts made
How much Hp do the balancing shafts consume? How about aftermarket exhaust how much canbi gain there

So do they bolt up to an SR gearbox by any chance ?
They make head assemblies that let you red way past 6k can’t wait to see the build process
More videos on the QR 25 please
Destroked? With sr crank?
Which turbo you looking at? I'm looking at supercharging or turbo xtrail with qr25de. Best 4wd for the cup holder locations

Your Altima already has a QR25DE
@@bingbong7206 I know but I figured I’d need to keep one stock so when I blow up the one I build I still have a car
@@caydendiel3818 thats exactly the same thought i had. have 2 qr25de's. one for build and another for stock.
Ur altima has a qr if u goin to swap it go for a 3.5 max swap or just boost ur stock motor change internals n boost it😊
would love to see this done!
Good video brother 💪💯..... but that motor is a qr20 you can tell by the badge number.
It's a 2.5l qr25 it's stamped into the block.👍unfortunately I'm having problems with parts so it's taking a long time to get anything done
Waiting for update🧐
Stay waiting and checking back every day
Sorry for the long break I'm having a lot of troubles getting parts and had some other things on
Can you recommend someone who is really good at rebuilding these Nissan engines, someone who delivers a quality product?
I do all my own rebuilding so not sure who to recommend. Any good long standing engine shop should do a good job on them.
waiting... 😣
What happen just vanish
Still here. Will be returning soon
