You won't find this option at the Western dealer if that is what you are asking. I think it would be easier to install these on a straight blade with no moving parts.

I think these would get annoying at night. Tiring on the eyes. What I find is a set of good Pod ditch lights (ditch lights are mounted at the bottom of the A pillar at the hood) are very functional to add to the plow lighting, and with orange plow markers....the pod ditch lights shine on the orange markers which sort of gives an effect of being lit....from the driver's perspective but in a much softer way. Best of both worlds.
I guess the big question is what's inside what looks like modified Buyers Products markers? LED strip lights? Rope lights? Something else? And how long do they last exposed to weather? I want to put a set on the back of a low trailer so they will never get a break from the weather.
@@mossman381 ahh, got it. I've seen some on county plows in Southern Wisconsin - especially for the wing plow on multi-lane highways. Hopefully January and February bring more snow than late 2020 did.
I work lighted lots and kill the headlights when plowing. I leave the rest on and roof top strobe running. I would want to shut these things off too until transport time.
I don't think vibration is going to break these. If you hit something that doesn't give then you might break or bend one. Mine worked great with no problems.
How bright are they at night? On the European hilltip snow plows they add little marker lights to either end of the plow. Just enough light to see them, but not over powering.
They are LED and are pretty bright. I guess if you are sensitive to light it might bother you. You could probably use resistors to make them less bright.
The bad thing is with those if you snap one off with a tree or a mailbox then its a junk marker then. Good idea but not something i would get. How much snow did you get over by tomah? I got a few plowings in but nothing major
They are a little ridged but I have seen the softer ones break when it gets really cold. I would say it snowed 2" but some of it turned to water during the day.
@@superdutyman9186 We liked the LED concept for less draw and matching other lights. Looked at the Nighthawks; $800 pretty steep. LED bulbs was the next idea. A few guys say LEDs don't get hot enough to melt off ice and snow. I think the Nighthawks have defrosters ($$) like a rear window. Decided to get Sylvania Super White Halogens. Kinda close, but stays clear.
One is a foot bigger. That can make a difference if doing large areas. The bigger they get the heavier they get. I think the 8'6" with wings is the perfect size for a 2500/3500 truck.
I actually enjoyed the game and making mods but I can't put that amount of time in something that gives me a few hundred views. I was going to release some of my mods but can't even find time to do that.
If you have light sensitivity then I would not get these. I am not sure what you mean by distracting. When I am concentrating on plowing I don't even see them.

Nice. I wanted to put those on my snowed Speedwing but was nervous about the wings moving and pinching and cutting a wire
Moving parts can complicate things. I think they have wire that coils up but snow and ice can mess with that too.

I haven't opened it up but you can see some sort of strip light inside. These are holding up really well outside.

You would probably want to run them to the truck with a separate plug and switch then.
These newer plows vibrate a lot more than the old ones. Maybe I'm wrong I feel they won't last a long time. I would break them. They look nice though.

I upgraded the bulbs in mine to LEDs

8' 6" plow vs 9' 6" just due to size of truck?

I haven't snapped these off. Been running them since this video. If you are pushing into trees you probably need to be careful.

What length are those markers and how long was the wiring harness...??? Did you hook them up direct with or without a resistors???
