Thank you that's extremely smart. If I was to tell an atheist to change right now they would not listen, they would say they needed proof. And I'm not going to lie even though all sins are equal, Paul did some very bad stuff, he murdered so many Christians and persecuted him. Not convinced! Research is not enough. How is his story similar to Gautama's? But.. Buddha never asked for money nor wrote in his scriptures to require followers to pay a percentage (aka: tithes). Tacitus was born 56 years after the supposed death of jesus. Flavius Josephus was born 37 AD. both of these men would then have documented jesus lets say ~20 years after their birth. this is not a primary source. no historical document from the time of jesus supposedly being alive exists. all documents about jesus are written in context to the description of christian cults popping up in the region.

@Disciple Jayden At this point it would be difficult to produce, but it really does not matter to me to be honest whether "Jesus" actually existed, the fact that such a person supposedly existed yet NONE of his contemporaries wrote about him is enough for me not to be convinced that he ever existed. But even if he actually did, there is ZERO doubt in my mind that he was anything more than just a man, and he was no more special than any other person some people look up to. His philosophy was not unique and he apparently didn't impress anyone enough at the time for them to even record his actions or words so, I have no reason to be impressed by him. So this falls to my main objective which is exposing the absurdity of the general claims themselves and the willful ignorance it takes to not only believe they are true, but to expect me to believe it too or "suffer" some sort of consequences at some point _after_ I die. And citing Thallus and Phlegon? They're citing peopel whose wroks no longer exist, stating they say AN eclipse happened and give no details. I love it when they miss important information. Tacitus wrote the in his annals book 15 chapter 44 in 116 AD that this is what "these people, believe happened" (Christians). He was not citing and sources and was pointing out what a group of people believe, this does not show if it was true or not. There are books about the Islamic Prophet Muhammad, written after his time (Hadiths) that actually does have sources and a chain that can be led back to Muhammad's life, does that mean its true he flew on a winged horse and split the moon into two? I don't think so, but if you use the same epistemology to say that Tacitus is a reliable non-biblical source for Christ, then the Muhammad stories in the Hadiths must be also true. Simple way to look at this, what would you require to believe everything in Islam and the Quran is true? Whatever that is, put it in the next video for your respective religion and then you will convince Non-Christians to join your religion. The videos you produce are made in a way to make people believe that you are trying to convert others to your religion, when in actual fact they are just there to reinforce the beliefs some people already have.

It honestly does matter what Tacitus wrote and when he wrote Tactics wrote about what people believed that does not lead us to his sources. This is the equivalent of someone writing about the Hindu God Om Banna whom only came into existence in 1991 after magically fixed a mans crashed motorcycle (Google this if you like). Here, people visit the shrine where he died and where the miracle of his motorcycle happened in order to make offerings to his departed soul and to pray for safe travel. Not just Hindus, but all sorts of people.... Muslims, Sikhs, Jains, etc.. In India, this is our culture. When someone dies (especially people who have died under miraculous circumstances), we build shrines and make offerings and prayers to those who have passed away... The problem with Tacitus is he was born 30 - 40 years after Jesus died. I'm in my 40's so it would be like me writing about the life of Winston Churchill, but having no books, tv or internet to find out about him. Imagine how tainted a story could be back then when it regards a man that lived so long ago so far away. Same goes with Josephus but his writings about Jesus are recognized as being a forgery.
30-40 years at that time was considered a very very short amount of time for a book to be written. Information about Alexander the great was written down about 100 years after his death.

So let me get this straight; the two pieces of "evidence" are an "eye witness" account by ONE (1) person, and an account by someone who only HEARD about Jesus? If you took something like that to court, you would be laughed out of town.
I think you misunderstood the video. There are more historical accounts than the ones given in the video, these are just a few examples. Also, what "one eyewitness account" are you referring to? The NT isn't written by one person but eight different authors. Even non-Christian scholars believed Jesus existed. "This is not even an issue for scholars of antiquity. There is no scholar in any college or university in the Western world, who teaches classics, ancient history, early Christianity, any related field who doubts that Jesus existed. The reason for thinking Jesus existed is because he is abundantly attested in early sources. Early and independent sources indicate Jesus certainly existed." (Barth Ehrman, NT scholar and agnostic)

This is God's free gift. You just need to accept it. And believe in Jesus. The eternal life is the gift, it's spiritual.

Why did Christ Jesus came and sacrificed His precious life for sinners like us?
Christ (God's Word made into flesh), came because through flesh (Adam's flesh) sin entered the world, and then because of sin death entered the whole earth. Through flesh(Jesus Christ's flesh), the earth will be saved, sin is destroyed, and the curse of death shall be broken, death and the grave shall be cast into hell.
Christ, who is God's Word made into flesh, sacrificed His life for us. He was crucified for our sins and transgressions.
Christ died, and on the third day He resurrected in the flesh, conquering death and the grave. Now, Christ is seated in Heaven, at the right hand of Power(God). Through Christ's sacrifice we gain Salvation through God's abundant mercy and grace. We are reconciled and recompensed back to God, through the shed blood of His beloved Son Christ Jesus.

Romans chapter 5 verse 18: " Therefore, as through one man's (Adam's) offense judgement came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even through one Man's (Christ's) righteous act, the free gift came to all men, resulting in the justification of life."
Romans chapter 5 verse 17: " For if by the one man's offense(Adam's offense), death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in the life through the One(Jesus Christ).
Romans chapter 5 verse 12: " Therefore, just as through one man (Adam)sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned."
Romans chapter 5 verse 21: " "So that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Do you now see that through Adam, sin and death entered the world, so that is why Christ Jesus came to give life, and give it abundantly? Yes Christ came to give eternal life through Salvation.

I love it when they miss important information. Tacitus wrote the in his annals book 15 chapter 44 in 116 AD that this is what "these people, believe happened" (Christians). He was not citing and sources and was pointing out what a group of people believe, this does not show if it was true or not. There are books about the Islamic Prophet Muhammad, written after his time (Hadiths) that actually does have sources and a chain that can be led back to Muhammad's life, does that mean its true he flew on a winged horse and split the moon into two? I don't think so, but if you use the same epistemology to say that Tacitus is a reliable non-biblical source for Christ, then the Muhammad stories in the Hadiths must be also true.
Simple way to look at this, what would you require to believe everything in Islam and the Quran is true? Whatever that is, put it in the next video for your respective religion and then you will convince Non-Christians to join your religion. It honestly does matter what Tacitus wrote and when he wrote Tactics wrote about what people believed that does not lead us to his sources. I'm in my 40's so it would be like me writing about the life of Winston Churchill, but having no books, tv or internet to find out about him. But what Pilate could have done is said something along the lines of... " we are having a religious holiday at the moment, so please do not bother with this at the moment... let's deal with this in a week" He had the power to do that if necessary, but he didn't.

Jesus isn't real he is a parable to a long winded poem about nebula in space. Here is a fun fact, there are many diseases but christ chooses the dead, the blind and the banished (leprosy). So let me get this straight; the two pieces of "evidence" are an "eye witness" account by ONE (1) person, and an account by someone who only HEARD about Jesus? If you took something like that to court, you would be laughed out of town.
I think you misunderstood the video. There are more historical accounts than the ones given in the video, these are just a few examples. Also, what "one eyewitness account" are you referring to? The NT isn't written by one person but eight different authors. Even non-Christian scholars believed Jesus existed.
