Jacob did not deserve the blessing, he did not work for it. It is through grace he got the blessing. Just like our good works don’t get us save it’s through Grace
I listen to this pastor all the time but we have one Rabbi and that's The CHRIST. The Holy Ghost is the best teacher of GOD's Word. I love you btw and may GOD Bless you always
I really enjoy how you define and connect the bible stories and content.I enjoy doing bible study through your teachings.Thank you for sharing them with us.
Wow! I never really thought about how fun it would be to learn of these stories. That was a highlight. The rage that Esau had and God giving him time to chill.
Wonderful! I love listening to your sermons before I teach on that topic. I’m teaching through Genesis now, and after I’ve done my research, I love listening to you and a couple others bring it all home. It keeps me from getting lost in the details that deep dives can sometimes do. God has blessed you as a pastor, and He has blessed us with access to your sermons across the world- even down here in Florida!
😢Thank you Pst. Paul for this. I used to struggle when reading these verses but after this,,my heart is open to receive what the Lord is saying to me on obedience to God,Godly parenting and knowing the heart of God.
I love you my brother Paul 💙 Thank you Jesus 🙏 Bless Pastor Paul and Sue and their children and families and pour out your love and Holy Spirit over them. Bless Calvary Chapel more and more in Jesus name.
This was powerful! Shows the limitation of your parents….they can only do so much for you and yet they can cause so much destruction for your path ahead. Trust God and respect/honor your parents …but trust God!
I am grateful for God's word. We can all relate to these lessons, learn from them and grow stronger in the Lord. Thank you Pastor Paul for spending time with us and to give us this timely exhortation, especially in this time. ( from the island of Jamaica).
Very clear indeed. I’m learning so much from your teaching on the word of God Halleu. I wake up in the morning and my mind stays on Jesus halleu halleu hallelujah!
I really enjoyed listening to your commentary. What led me to this video was my own reflection on the passage and so I wanted to hear other people’s perspectives as revealed by the Lord. I think the aspect where Jacob answered Isaac that because the Lord your God gave me success…I sense that answer was more prophetic than malicious. In other words, God’s own predestined blessing has brought it to me.
lol, Jacob’s the guy who likes to sit around making Bundt cakes. I really like this message. I’d always seen Isaac as the wounded party, but this is exactly right…it all started with Isaac trying to go against the Lord’s will. And Rebecca could have done the right thing and respectfully reminded her husband of that.
Thank you for the lesson. I’m going to go back and re-read those passages again when I get off from work. So glad I found your channel and subscribed 😊
Been rewatching CCO's Book Of Revelation sermon series for the third time and I just finished last night! Then I saw this.. Was surprised to see a commenter with the same name as mine.. 😁
It's my understanding that Isaac was not aware. As Rebekah was only informed by personal revelation in Genesis 25:22-23. If this was a personal revelation with God, she would not have told Isaac. Could you please confirm?
I enjoy listening to your bible studies. I do have a question in Genesis 25:23 it says The Lord said to her. I’m not reading anywhere that it says Isaac was also told what the Lord said about Esau and Jacob. How do we know that Rebekah didn’t keep this to herself with their already being disfunction within the family?
maybe Isaac knew not what God told his wife and as you know a woman is an ocean of secrets, she kept for her self , getting determination of saying " may the curse be upon me"
Jacob did not deserve the blessing, he did not work for it. It is through grace he got the blessing. Just like our good works don’t get us save it’s through Grace
Amen to that🙏🏾
