When this movie came out everyone here in Spain clowned on it because it was such a hot mess. It had like 10 different plotlines and never resolved any of them, it switched protagonists every 20 minutes or so and the actors who are usually good in other stuff gave awkward performances like they were embarrassed to be in this movie. The girl that plays Luisa was only known at the time for a shitty teen soap opera and she sucked. The man who plays "Alister Crowley" didn't even try to fake an accent, like an englishman speaking spanish would have, and in fact he had an accent from Valladolid which made it even funnier. Usually in spanish movies they hire foreign actors to play foreign characters but this was the director's low budget pet project and he didn't give a fuck about immersion. They were focused on setting up the sequel and forgot to write a coherent script so it bombed at the box office lol. And apparently it takes place in the Cthulhu mythos universe as the director is a big fan of Lovecraft but it's never shown or alluded to in the movie.
