Hogwarts Legacy is an action role-playing game in which players are able to attend classes at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Set in the 1890's, 100 years before the events of Harry Potter, the player character is a student starting at Hogwarts in the fifth year. You hold the key to a mysterious ancient magic that threatens the Wizarding World. Locations from the Wizarding World franchise will be explorable such as the Forbidden Forest, Diagon Alley, and Hogsmeade. The player character will learn to cast various magical spells, brew potions and master combat abilities.

Tbf the game does say to stop casting you have to press the spell button again, not release R2. Had me confused at first

I don't really blame him in fact I relate to him I had the same thing and I kept reloading my save because I couldn't figure out how to stop them

@@zip5644 the tutorial talks about holding R2 and pressing the assigned button individually, then saying press the assigned button again to stop casting it. It’s clearly not talking about R2 and that’s because on a keyboard there is no button you have to hold, just the spell button to press so the tutorial is only true for pc players. Just an oversight from the devs.
Sebastian Sallow looks more like Trevor than his character does 😂

20:48 He's the blind student you spoke to at the beginning of the game. I don't think you realized he was blind at the time, but if you look at his eyes and where he's facing then it's pretty obvious.

I think im going to watch this letsplay fully, if episodes just pop up like this. Thought have seen many dissepointing things about this game. Like no real openworld, it has restricted areas that are only opened for quest purposes and there is not much interactions with NPCs they are just plot devices. ALso dont like the idea how money is represented. Gold is just named galeons, and there is no knuts or sicles, food is another random thing you can walk to shop grab to sweets, food and not paying or random chests on public places give you loot. But atlest visuals are good and hopefully story also.
@@asjaosaline5987 @asjaosaline5987 peanuts at a bar, or sample sweets are complimentary foods plenty of actual bars provide in plenty of small towns. NPCs in basically every game that I can think only serve one of two purposes. Now that you mention it, outside of being able to cycle through the same 6 lines of "rumor" dialogue in any single Bethesda game, they really only serve the function of giving you quests.
The game is definitely open world, but just like any other open world game with a story focus, it opens up further as you continue onward in the narrative. Once you play, you'll find yourself overwhelmed by the size of hogwarts and will not have that issue anymore.
I also think having multiple currencies hints at heavy ingame micro transactions, so sticking to galeons is actually far more of a PR thing than a limited game mechanic. If they had 3 different types of currencies as you suggest, you'd essentially just be wondering where the digital shop is in your book. That's far more immersion breaking than anything else you can mention

@@asjaosaline5987 as someone who lives in the UK quite a few shops have samples out for you to try which is exactly what they had in the sweet shop.
@@terri3715 We have also samples out for try, but we can also buy thouse same products that they present as sample. in HL it seems like there is multiple shops just there as decoration and they have some samples there. HL legacy has no need for food, couse it does not have energy or hunger system.

The Hogsmeade portion, just walking around, is so amazing. Had this on for a group of people to show them and they were all in awe just watching. The design in this game is so incredible. And great narration, I don't watch streamers but you are very patient and relaxing to watch!

I love the fact that everything is open to you when you want it, and you don’t HAVE to fast travel anymore. It’s such a huge map with so much to explore
The way Singer just runs in and yells Bombarda with that little echo gives me chills everytime. The sounds and visuals of this game do so well at immersing the player.

I love Professor Ronen. He reminds my of my college chemistry lab professor, even down to the way he energetically walks and pronounces a few select words a specific way. Such an unexpected nostalgia trip.
I love how alive this game feels. It's what made me fall in love with rdr2. I'm really excited to watch this playthrough.

Really enjoyed this! I think it's important that you're as hyped as we are about this. Also, the Hogsmeade tour was on point, taking your time to show us everything was just great!
5:42 the fact that the only thing you gotta do to get it to stop is let the button go and it took you that long to figure it out is sadly hilarious.

Amazing playthrough so far, love how excited you are and that you are exploring everything rather than just rushing through the storyline. What i love most about this game so far is that it doesnt treat its audience like babies, it k ows that a majority of its player base are avid fans that grew up with the books and movies. It seems like with a property like star wars, everything seems the same.
