someone once said: "I went to see Jason Mraz. I was looking forward to it for a few months. I knew there was this Lisa Hannigan opening for him, but I didn't know anything more than her name. I was absolutely blown away by her performance. I left happily right when she finished. I was pretty sure that Jason couldn't offer me half of what this precious lady did..."
I agree with the sentiment on Lisa, who has the voice of an angel, but I call BS on anyone leaving without seeing Jason after Lisa, especially if they looked forward to it. Total BS. Which I guess is why it’s an unidentified “someone.”
My wife's and my favorite recording artist. Passenger plays over and over again in our cars. How can on song be so good you can listen to it endlessly? We invite her to the Arizona desert!
I was thinking about that, and you are probably right. But doesn't it sound weird, having so many people in love with one person? I mean, someone falling in true love with another is supposed to be something rare, I think hahaha
@@amaro3005 love is a chemical reaction, and a pretty common one at that. True love is just two close friends who bang regularly and never get tiered of eachother. Its hard not to get sick of someone who youre around all the time so I guess you'd be right.
A modest, genuine soft hearted, but self empowered woman with a classic beauty that compliments her wonderful personality. This is what is missing in women today and this is why every guy wants her.
What it'd be like to play in her band must be an astonishing experience, because just listening to her music all alone makes life so much more beautiful than it already is.
Wow this women is not just pretty, not just cute, her voice is amazing, and she is simply BEAUTIFUL.... Nowadays we need women like her... calm, with a sense of home.... i would like a wife like her...
I do hope she includes this in her next album along with 'blurry' and 'pirate disco' And she sounds even better live. Not many artists you can say that about.
@@jamiethomas3768 happy to live in her arms before then, even to be alive knowing she is here somewhere is pretty damn nice too, especially she's so generous with all these utube vids
wow. this video is of amazing quality. I've loved this song for ages. fingers crossed it appears on the next album. Three cheers for the beautiful Lisa :-)
I saw her last night (27/9/12) supporting Richard Hawley in Newcastle & found her absolutely mesmerising. She is one of a select few artists that I have encountered whose recordings don't actually do her justice compared to her live performances. Beautiful music.
This video is much better quality than mine! Thanks for getting a hold of it. I tried a couple times to respond to your comment about this video being available, but it never would go through. Oh well. I'm just glad you got your question answered. Thanks for posting!
@jositoxxx1 - Lisa was feeling really sick that day, but like any true musician, dedicated to her fans, came out and played. Despite being a little uncomfortable with 5 cameras on her, in her state of mind, she performed beautifully. Certainly one of those rare days I will never forget. Thanks to Lisa and the band for allowing us to shoot.
Much as I love Lisa and her music, it was just hilarious to watch her bass-player slowly slipping down his bass in the background, bored out of his mind, while she played this solo ditty..... :)
@quemo2009 songs called passenger. sounds like she wrote in the the passenger seat of a car while traveling the US... doesn't give the band much room to play along in the back seat... anyway, just her voice and mandolin is a great representation of that and gives the song more dimension then just the melody and lyrics.
Well, I just discovered her work this week and shes already a member of my golden trio hehe Regina Spektor, Sarah Blasko and Lisa Hanningan. Welcome! hehe
@zazunzas @quemo2009 - I was one of about 5 filmmakers in SLC who are all huge Lisa fans. We all came out and filmed her set of 5-6 songs in front of the store. The intent was to combine all the camera footage into a single multi-camera video, but for whatever reason the other filmmaker's footage never materialized. My camera was setup specifically to cover Lisa from that angle, while others were covering wide shots, etc.
@milieugraye - I shot this on the RED camera (MX chip, #1163). The microphone was a Audio-Technica 422 shotgun mounted on camera, pointed directly at her.
@quemo2009 it may be that this video was made by a random fan rather than being an official production... and this fan, like so many other fans, might possibly appreciate the band as a whole, but focuses on lisa as its heart ...
I'm thinking about getting my first mandolin and I wonder if tha mandolin is a Fender FM52E ??? is it a good one ??? uummm .. A little help please ! lol
@quemo2009 Uh, it's possible that if this song was new enough, they hadn't even worked out the band's parts in the song. Previewing a song in its rawest state in front of an audience will give them feedback enough to see if it's worth making into a full band version.
Her voice always warms my heart
Agreed

More of the world needs to see & hear Lisa Hannigan......a sublimely talented, beautiful, smiley eyed songbird.
As a big fan, this is one of my favs. Love the way she peeks out after the lines...her eyes are beautiful and so expressive.
Yes, I am in love.
hahah yeah..the ideal woman, be lucky to find a girl like her! :)
I love her voice to me it sounds almost angelic. Such a sweet soft tone that makes a grown man a little boy again.
My wife's and my favorite recording artist. Passenger plays over and over again in our cars. How can on song be so good you can listen to it endlessly? We invite her to the Arizona desert!
If I had just witnessed that, I'd be clapping my heart out in appreciation.
Light as a feather...beautiful in its simplicity and endearingly soft, soulful vocal chords. Subtlety's a good thing.

I'm surprises I have never come across an 'In love with Lisa' facebook group :D
I saw her first
So Lovely, I hear this every few days but her face! Please keep this for posterity of her talent.
The bass player is entranced throughout most of the song.
And I can't blame him. Incredible voice.
She's just lovely.

She is so photogenic. Each and every one of these YT thumbnails of her are absolutely beautiful.
When her songs get stuck in my head all day I never mind.

Well I'm convinced, Blue Diamond needs a song.
What it'd be like to play in her band must be an astonishing experience, because just listening to her music all alone makes life so much more beautiful than it already is.
I like this better than the studio version. Also, Lisa is so lovely here
Well, i'm in love.
man... she soothes my soul every time

Lisa! You're my go -to to reach those emotions I can't articulate
My god, can I be more in love with this woman? Beautiful voice and awesomely unique lyrical style.
If any woman was ever the embodiment of perfection, it's Lisa.
Perfection is as perfection does
Auditory bliss🎶
I do hope she includes this in her next album along with 'blurry' and 'pirate disco'

Watching her sing makes me happy :D
I like when she sings in her falsetto. She turns into an angel and flies away
I think this is what love really is..
Thanks for your answer in less than

That much beauty in a face AND a voice doesn't legal or even human to me.
Ok I'm a chick, but I think that this woman is pure beauty... what an inspiration. I absolutely love her!
Amazing artistry
she's so adorable
oh gosh yes my pirate disco too! I adore that song. Let's keep our fingers crossed :-)

The intro sounds exactly like the decemberists - sons and daughters
@sagebuzz she sure did, she worked with damien rice for years, now she is a solo artist - and a wonderful one at that. :-) happy listening!
Bellissima !!!
Cute trumps stunning every time
lisa is special!
There's absolutely nothing about this young lady that isn't utterly enchanting.
LOVE YOU LISA
she is a little star
Brilliant awsome..perfect.
@mwhita Agreed! What I would do to have just Lisa come down to Florida for a show!
See, what everyone doesn't realize, she's just talking. It just sounds so beautiful, it seems like she's singing.
Hope this song is on the new album.
Wow. Imagine her on your arm... You'd be a very proud man. Fascinating creature. x
She is THE most beautiful woman in the world
Good golly, she is hypnotic.

MY DIAMOND
HERMOSA TE AMO
Ecco come dovrebbero essere le donne: semplici, serene, poco convinte della loro bellezza, quindi irresistibili!
I LOVE her lyrics. They're so tangible and...well, delicious. You can really feel them.
I LIKE you! Perfectly Put. Thank-you for that.
so, this is Blue Diamond?
Israel Muñoz You got it, baby.
This is Blue Diamond when she is not a crying rock (no pun intended.)
Couldn't have said it better myself
@happysnappytwinkleas and today..and tomorrow...and the day after...she's the woman of all days! :)
Mandolin + Voice = Nice.
@milieugraye - I shot this on the RED camera (MX chip, #1163). The microphone was a Audio-Technica 422 shotgun mounted on camera, pointed directly at her.
aat the end you can hear the sound of a douchbag car passing by
lol your comment made me laugh
If music had a physical body, I would make love to this beautiful song
J_rk off listening to this song, then 😂
@canaryxblue Me too and I am way too old for her.I guess I will just love her playing, her voice. She is absolutely wonderful.

Love the mando and lisa :-)
@eshana1anam its a Fender A-5 style mando, if I'm not mistaken.
@fdavide06 It's a mandolin. Lovely instrument.
She's one you take home to meet Mom.
@quemo2009 ...Keep your grades to yourself. Let us just enjoy this for what it is; wonderful music by a very talented singer/songwriter.
