It’s a very beautiful sweater. I have a hint for you. Did you know you can attach your border as you go. I learned this from another utuber. You don’t have to try and sew it on after your done. It’s very easy to do.
I just found this!! I love the summer sweater. I have been looking for a pattern like this!!! Thank you so much for this pattern and tutorial!! Stay safe, well and inspired..☮💜🧶
Great tutorial. I've been looking for a top like this, but with more gappy, mesh kind of stitch for summer. Would this work using a triple crochet stitch?
Unfortunately no - the triple crochet is so long that the width of the sweater would be huge! You could follow the general idea of the top though and try it on as you go to get the measurements correct.
Hi! You would definitely need to make a gauge swatch to compare. With the worsted weight you will likely have to decrease the number of stitches to accommodate the larger size of the yarn, but by how much will depend on your swatch. I have the gauge from the pattern using DK weight yarn on my website at: thecraftycrochetier.com/?p=174 Hope this helps!
Hi Karen - I didn’t make this in 3/4 sleeves so I can’t tell you exactly, but if I was going to add length, I would seam it up the sides until I got to the sleeve opening size needed, then work the sleeves in the round. Good luck!
Hi Kelly - I don’t have any plans to do a tutorial on a small for this right now, but I do have the pattern for all the sizes here: thecraftycrochetier.com/?p=174. Hope this helps!
As long as you can make gauge as per the pattern, you can use any yarn. I have another video - the V neck variation, which uses cotton yarn. You can find more informations about that pattern here: thecraftycrochetier.com/?p=340
The video and the pattern on your blog says to start with an even number chain, then for row 2 - skip one chain and sc, *ch1, skip 1, sc*, repeat. Which should make the st count odd... because you skipped one. But the pattern lists the total number of stitches as "even" numbers for row 2. But for you to begin and end with a sc, it would need to be odd. Ex: +o+o+ (sc, ch, sc, ch, sc = 5 sts). But that would further on not match up to your video where you say you have 206 stitches and when folded it should be 103 sts for the front and 103 for the back. If you had an odd st count, you would have to have one extra st on the front or the back. It's negligible, but it's confusing. Hope that all makes sense.
Hi Tammy! I think the reason it works is that there is actually 205 sts (206 in the ch and then working in the second sh from the hook). Overall there are definitely things I would like to change about this pattern - it was my first and definitely has room for improvement! It's on my list to remake for sure, and I will definitely refer to these comments when I do the remake. Thank you!
Hi Sarala! Unfortunately the yarn I used in this pattern is no longer available, but you can read about it and see the substitutions I recommend here on the blog post: thecraftycrochetier.com/?p=174
Hi Cassandra- here’s the link directly to the free pattern on my website: thecraftycrochetier.com/?p=174. I don’t have a pdf version of this pattern to email, but it is available for free on the blog post. Hope this helps!

Where is the pattern?
What hook are u using
I used a 4.5 mm hook - all the details for the pattern can be found here: thecraftycrochetier.com/?p=174
I'm assuming I can make this a large by adding stitches...I'm not a medium. You never acknowledge any other sizes that can be made
