All of the hooded jackets weight about 9.4oz +/- 0.1 oz - I thought the Amazon price of the EB was the retail price. turns out retail is $129, however it is heavily discounted on the EB website. Only size XXLs available, so it looks like it is a model they are discontinuing. Amazon still has some other sizes in stock. *Things I forgot to mention/didn't mention in video:* - DWR Treatment. All jackets except for the No Brand has a DWR treatment. However never rely on a DWR treatment especially for a down jacket. Always bring one of these: tinyurl.com/54svbujn - Wind Resistance. Some of the jackets that lack hand zips and bottom elastics are more susceptible to drafts. Just use this: tinyurl.com/54svbujn - Compressibility. They are all very compressible. no noticeable difference. - Down Shift. Larger baffles can mean more potential for down shift. This wasn't an issue for any of the jackets. the EB had a bit of shift in the arm baffles. However that may be due to the repeated arm bending from shoveling snow. After a few shakes it was back to normal.
Buy only when sales appear you can pretty much buy most down jacket brands on sale.i got 50% off north face parker 40% off arcteryx down jacket and 50% off mountain hardware down jacket
Yup, agreed! for the purposes of this video i mainly wanted to focus on retail prices. However if you can buy on sale or 2nd hard, even better! sound like you got some nice deals. hard to find arc on sale.
You can get Uniqlo in the UK too! I'm currently wearing a pair of their trousers bought from one of the various shops in London
