When I lived in San Jose ca
There is a Restaurant in VIETNAM town that has an interesting way of advertising.
When cooking these pork chops and chicken.
They release a smoke cloud throught the town permeating the air w/the most enticing thing I've ever smelt in my ENTIRE LIFE!
Marion, that’s the PERFECT pork cutlet. And as ever, the PERFECT presentation & video. Watching your videos is as ever, a delight.
I love your energy and have learned so much from your channel, all the love from South Africa 🇿🇦 ❤️.
YES - pork is my favourite meat and this just made my life 100x better
Majestic Marion to the rescue
Great tip on scraping the marinade ingredients off then add them back on later to prevent burning. The pork looks delicious!
I've been watching your show for some time now, I enjoy it! Thank you for helping me cook for my family and friends!
Thanks for watching!
Ain't nobody got time for that ✔️ Love your way, Marion. Thanks for being so realistic with your recipes ♥️
So just clarify. Her ingredients are good, but for authentic season your meat with twice the marinade and also if you can procure thinner chops it’s better. Hammer the meat a bit for more tender consistency. Remember the pounding does two things make it thin for more rapid cooking and marinade, but also to break up the meat bundles.
Finally, the kind of sugar and fish sauce. Use palm sugar or rock sugar for maximum flavor. Poor white, bleach sugar does not give you flavor. There are an abundant fish sauces in vietnam. You want to chose the most brinest for marinade and the lowest salt for dipping.
Do you have your own channel? Maybe you can offer advice on your own ??
@@meriahaiello why do people like you get so offended when someone lists an AUTHENTIC version of the recipe. At least they are contributing something meaningful for those who wish to try it, what have you contributed apart from your bitterness?
@@User-cb4jm why do people like you.. oops did I group you? Sorry. Not offended. Your just a silly whatever’s
I made this pork for dinner tonight and it was spectacular. Fantastic nuoc cham recipe, it's definitely my new default sauce now! Thank for the recipe and the video!
hello. I'm Vietnamese. Followed her youtube for a long time. This is Vietnamese rib rice. ribs must be smashed. marinated with garlic seasoning. red onion and minced commune. seasoned with soy sauce. Street. condensed milk and honey. marinated overnight. then baked.
I just finished trying this recipe and OMG! This is deliciousssss !! Love it !! Thank youu
Good and nice.i love your channel from Vietnam
Yum - I will definitely try. When I ever cook pork it is as dry as old boots so thank you
This looks divine !! With my favourite dipping sauce- go on then! Thanks again :))
Yum! Thanks for providing the link to the printed recipe so I can follow along with your UA-cam. I also can enjoy the wonderful smells from your skillet with this new smellavision app that I recently installed. You might also want to emphasize the need to find pork chops that are labeled as bone-in center cut pork chops to avoid disappointment, no matter the sear or the sauce. It will be worth the extra $$$s. Thanks for sharing this recipe, Marion! And, as usual, kudos to your great staff for the wonderful camera work that I enjoy so much.
Great tips Marion. I'm a pretty good cook after a million years😂 but pork is my failure so 🙏 for showing me where I was going wrong and yes I definitely keep that fat that I also render. 🌹
Omgoooodness that looks delicious!!!! Easy but flavorful !!

Marion, hello! Did you rinse the salt off after the fridge? Thank you the best cooking channel!! 🌿🌸🌿
Sounds yummy!
Looking super delicious
I never thought i'd love Marion more, and then..
Marion: I'm not the person who cuts fat off, by the way..
❤❤❤
Hi thanks for this amazing recipe. May I know how much gram a pork cutlet is please.
Thank you ❤️
Looks delicious! I tried so many of your dishes and always amazing. I wanted cook for this eve but will have to dry brine first. So will make tomorrow. A question I've always wanted to ask. Can I skip adding the sugar for the marinade and dipping sauce? Thank you
I love it
I just made the prep for
3 loin pork Chops to be done according to your recipe and also the dippings
Will let you know the outcome
Hey that's my recipe that been feeding girls for years!!! 😉
Love it 😘
Yummy Marion!
my favorite viet dish!
You need a restaurant!!!
A healthy bruise😁😁❤️
I don't cut the fat off either -- our body needs fat. Thanks for all these great tips -- always appreciate your videos.
I’ll substitute palm sugar with regular.
Yum‼️‼️‼️
Hey Marion, thanks for a great recipe.
Would it be possible to use lamb chops for this recipe? Would the lemongrass and garlic work?
Oh yes! With lamb would be amazing!
I love it!!! That looks really good!! You may want to check out the SearPro torch! I highly recommend it!!! It'll give you a perfect crust for your meat!! AND it is way CHEAPER compared to others, has a powerful flame, it is portable and the BEST of all is, it can SEAR ALL FOOD EQUALLY, just perfect! It is a multi-used torch so you can use it either for the kitchen or outdoors! Check it on UA-cam and their website! It is definitely worth the buy!!!
I feel like it would benefit from some rice to go with it.
Take a shot every time Marion tells you this is the situation you're looking for.
Did you put salt only on one side of the pork chop and let that trickle down to the other side overnight?
Pretty sure she salts both sides on other videos.
I am here princess!
Whar could I substitule lemon grass with?
I’d use lemon zest.
Is the type of "long red chili" pepper you're using for the sauce a Long Cayenne pepper? I never see any chili peppers like the one in this video when I visit my local Asian grocery stores.
Yes, they are the typical chillies sold in Australian supermarkets, those and birds eye chillies are easy to get but sadly few other types, fresh or dry.
Can you please show some vegan recipes ... your recipes look great!
Could that brine be done and the meat frozen for a week or more? We buy meats in bulk and freeze around here
I would say yes, no problem. Just let it defrost naturally and not in a microwave!
@@annother3350 Hey Sara, I agree with Ann, sort of! This is a great question. Pork chops hold up very good for me if frozen properly to avoid freezer burn- meaning, double bagging. But, I am ignorant about whether or not a brining or a marinade, or both, of the pork chops, and then freezing those porkchops, would be a good thing, or not! I hope others will share their experiences in this regard.
Marge Simpson thought the secret ingredient was salt. She needs to get on board with fish sauce.
Stop cooking dog food
This is the greatest comment I have seen in a long time!
Beside you can use some drops of water of pineapple!
EM OI !! TROI OI EM AH !

New knife??miyabi??
I am in the 10 first comments 😍
💕👍💞💖😝
Marion, I have a question: If you marinate the raw pork chops in the lemon grass/garlic mixture, and then save it to spread on the cooked chops, isn’t that cross-contamination, or does that just pertain to chicken?
It'll cook the cross contamination off. The mixture is not dense enough and would be heated to annihilate
As long as the mixture gets over 70°c or so it's fine, so as long as it's cooked on the chop for the last minute
Lady who cares when U cook the meat 🍖 it burns all the germs away ! Hello 👋 jeez I’m so tired 😴 of all these Germophobics ! God made dirt , dirt don’t hurt ! It’s not the germs 🦠 it’s the Fear !
@@monabarber3549 DIRT AIN’T GERMS!!!!!! I’m not talking about DIRT. I don’t give a DAMN about dirt. Dirt you wash off. Heard of salmonella? Heard of botulism? YOU CAN DIE FROM EITHER OF THEM!!!! You want to know how I know, in addition to the science of it?????? Because it almost happened to me: 8 days in the hospital sharing a room with a woman who had the same thing I did. SHE DIED!!!!! I had a temperature of 105 and was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. They expected me to die but I was extremely fortunate. I lost 13 pounds in 4 days there and kept losing weight. It took 7 months before I had a normal appetite.
Please do us all a favor and do not speak of that which you know nothing about.
"I'm very disorganised - just like you guys!" Damn, drag us Marion 😥😂
I mean grilled pork haha
Hork chop
The Spanish serve their pork medium rare but it's only because their pigs are so well treated over there. Don't try this at home kids!
Oh the title changed. Sneaky.
pork is very expensive in the PH now. cry cry cry!
It’s not cheap in Singapore too
Is she pregnant again?
If in doubt, don't ask.
Don’t ask a woman unless she tells you cox it’s extremely sensitive
THE TITLE IS A LIE. The title said 'grilled' pork chops but the video was 'fried' pork chops. It's hard to imagine that you don't know the difference?
In what world is that fried? She’s using a grill plate, it just doesn’t have grill marks, doesn’t mean it’s fried. If anything, it’s seared.
What a dumbarse comment.
