I'm stuck trying to figure out how to do the kick-summon sento and the Mavado from the sky juggle. Are you doing 4-> summon sento and Up Kameo at the same time somehow? I think I need to know what order you're inputting those and the timing of it because I can either summon sento from the kick or summon Mavado from the kick, but I can't seem to get both.
yeah its stupid difficult for no reason so I'm doing s4 up+r1 db1 but I'm doing it as one motion input and mashing r1 and 1 basically at the same time. so maybe its be better to say udb r1+1 its rly important that you only start inputting AFTER s4 actually connects, you can't just dial in the input, and when you DO input it you have to do it rly fast I've since found out from other kenshi players (hayatei and fabz) that you can do it more easily by dialing in dbu (so a half circle) r1+1 and that apparently is much more lenient but I havent personally tried it yet edit: for the "easier" method I'm being told you have to have input shortcuts set to on. I tried it a few times and doing dbu 1+r1 does work but I didn't notice it being noticeably easier or anything (granted I didnt spend a lot of time on it, and have already put in a lot of time doing it the up+r1 db1 method)
@@shenles Oh that makes so much more sense now! I'll have to mess around with that too see if it's possible for me since I'm on a leverless controller. That seems like it would be easier on a stick or controller, but hopefully it's just a skill issue because that would mean it's possible. I'm hoping it isn't just impossible to do that input on leverless. That's so cool looking and useful! Also, thank you for your videos. Oh also, a thought on that Mavado trap off the grab. If you hit the kameo right at the sword stabs them on the ground, you can get the trap to go off without Kenshi being knocked to the ground. It improves the timing and consistency 😁
oh regarding the throw, its counterintuitive but interrupting the throw animation actually results in better damage scaling and less gravity scaling. so not only is the combo much easier to land this way, its more optimal too the same combo I did in this video is actually much harder to land and does 274 if you do the later ambush timing youre talking abt. and now you know! 😂😂
You need to look at the bigger picture with this kameo man. Sure, the setups are more difficult, and you trade an ice shield with sub, but any touch Kenshi gets is a guaranteed Sento with Mavado. And if you have Sento out, you just shit out damage. It's insane. Great players can outspace and outmaneuver zoning and because Mavado guarantees Sento on literally any hit if you confirm it or time it right, youre gonna see all the pros using him.
The juggle is so hard to pull off consistently, even more so on a real match. i was hopeful to be able to une nother kameo than cyrax/sub, but it feels too much of a chore to make it reliable. (To me)
I found out you can break wake up armor with Ashrah F4. Can you cover every players wake up armor breaker? Kung lao has his overhead, so does Mileena and her cartwheel.
not every char has a fast double hitting move but yeah there are a few worth noting Ashrah and Havik have wakeups that have more than one hit of armor. and Johnny's nutpunch is invincible (not armor)
Only difference movado adds from cyrax is meterless throw combos but -100hp? Can he get sento on block midscreen consistently? This is cool little playstyle change but I don't see it being stronger than cyrax still ngl
I think its worth mentioning the mavado throw combo is significantly easier to perform execution wise he can do block string -> sento + mine ambush but its not guaranteed like cyrax sequence is. pretty sure opponent can jump maybe armor its not a 1 to 1 comparison, mavado offers some full screen utility, guaranteed plus frames (b2 into back assist is like +10 point blank on block), and again easier throw combos. the trade off is the -100 hp and significantly harder bnbs imo
Two additional points for Mavado: you can do forward two two into back assist to be at plus frames and bring the opponent closer for pressure/ grab mix ups. Second: one combo I haven’t seen on YT yet is 141,down forward 1 into sento stance, if you add movado assist during 141 the opponent lands on the trap while it activates to continue the combo! 🤯 easy punish to confirm into sento stance
im doing the first corner combo the same exact way yet im getting 348 damage as opposed to 372.71? im on PC and I have noticed before that for the same combos I do slightly less damage than when someone who i know is on console is doing, do you know if thats a bug or whats up?
I havent confirmed yet but theres a lot of ppl on twitter rn saying that they shadow nerfed mavado's damage scaling so it might not be a console/pc thing but just a patch

How the heck do you jump and then start using Kenshi sward in the air. I have so much trouble doing this in game. For some reason this game mechanic is very difficult to do anything in the air. This was not as hard in MK11. I know it is a DIAL IN COMBO with this game but it makes it way too hard. It's probably just me because I struggle with the character tutorials as well.
I don't think it's "real" but you can absolutely do blockstring -> sento and just throw a mine out in the middle of it, punishing button presses they might be able to armor/jump out stuff like that though
I think subzero will always be a valid first choice because easy 40% bnbs plus ice armor is invaluable against zoners which is one of the few things kenshi struggles against. but uh easy throw combos into sento sandwich
@@shenlesso should I switch off sub zero? My main combos are 414 and 426 Ik he just dropped but if he can get kenshi combos above or near that I’ll definitely switch

its entirely up to you man. I think subzero is the popular choice for a reason. mavado just adds options (like throw combos) but there's drawbacks too youd have to try the combos yourself for starters and then decide if you want to do switch

its significantly easier if kenshi falls over. counter intuitive I know but the dmg scaling is better and gravity isnt as bad.
