märklin Digital, A 3 rail model railway. Getting the layout running?

- I recently acquired a märklin 3 rail Model railway layout and although similar to systems such as Hornby, its not the same and took me a while to get working.

Enjoyed the update. I take my hat off to you being able to fathom the half built layout of someone else and then begin to continue it. I too have an old Marklin set, non digital with the old type of M system stamped metal base track. I have laid a round the wall track parallel to my Hornby Dublo and Triang tracks as I like to run all the older trains that meant so much to me growing up in the 1960s. Hi Jim, nice to hear from another Markin modeller. I was worried at first the layout was a lost cause, but with a bit of hard work and a lot of luck some how it running. I also run Hornby Dublo three rail, you just can not beat the older locos! Anyway thanks for watching and taking the time message.
I have to say that you do not suffer from the procrastination disease that I live with daily. I caught it when I retired 5 years ago, lol. Great little update, Jersey Bill

Does the handset link with the box that was smelling of smoke controlling the blocks?

Hi Mon, Apologies for the delayed reply. I think the hand set is for the extra marklin module , I don't think it was for the control box, I am still trying so you never know.
