Run For CoverにはThe Marcus Miller Projectというマーカスのソログループのバージョンもあって、ベースのカバーはそっちのほうが定番だけど、ぼくはサンボーンが好きなのでDavid SanbornのSTRAIGHT TO THE HEARTに収録されているRun For Coverをカバー。
音はエフェクターなしでMTRに送ってます。
だってサドウスキー生音でもとろけるほどいい音なんですもん。
MTR側で少しリバーブがかかってます。

六本気ピットインでブレッカーブラザースバンドに同行していたマーカスミラーを生で見ました。太い音を奏でていましたし、おかずも少なくリズム隊として完璧でした。
当時のマーカスミラーが蘇りました✨有難うございました🤗
マーカスミラーをここまで正確にコピーできる人はほとんど見かけないです。Not every bassist can play Marcus like him.

このVerが一番勢いがある感じでいいですね、音もいいしとても参考になります。このStudioLiveはCDとDVDの音が別ですから貴重です。DVD版はアドリブ部分が異なっていて殆どはHiramとD. Sanbornが映っている為、Marcusの手元が見えないんです。1:03～テーマ３拍目ウラ８分のpullの音が少しリバーブ掛かったような音なんですよ。2:23～アドリブ５小節目６、７フレpullが４弦thumb連打グルーブを壊さないようにするか考えていますが、僕の結論は極限までストロークを縮めることでした。

Sadowskyでオリジナルバージョンのrun for coverっていうのがいいですねー。ある意味当時のマーカスよりマーカスらしい音だなと感じました。面白いものです。腕がいいのは言うまでもなく、sadowskyは音がリッチですな。
ありがとうございます！オークションでAtelierZを落札しようとしてふと見たらSadowskyの出品が目に入ってきて、結局両方入手してみて手元に残したのがSadowskyでした。アンプ直でこんな音が出てしまうなんて感激です。音も聴かずに入手したのですが、いまでは一生モノだと思ってます！

UEDAさん あっ、コメントいただいているのに気づいていませんでした。めちゃありがとうございます！ぼくも詳しくはないのですがこれはメトロラインとは別系統らしく、ロジャー・サドウスキーといっしょに楽器作りをしていた「きくちさん」という方が、わりと短い期間日本でハンドメイドで生産していた楽器のようです。

Marcus Miller is the actual author of this track, not Sanborn. Miller wrote it for Sanborn's album "Voyeur" (1981). Yours is a great rendition!

1:04のとこですが①左手→②右サム→③右プルの順に３つともゴーストを出しています。このビデオを見せてもらったのですが、マーカスもそうやっているんじゃないかな～。
