Dude you earned this and all your subs, thank you!! I am in the middle of a TH350 rebuild (at the scrub and clean, scrub and clean part) and your videos are the only reason I am even attempting this. Even if this doesn't work, I still thank you for the videos!

    Never rebuilt a transmission before.
Because of this video, I think I am going to embark on rebuilding my C10 TH350c. I don't have any issues with it but I just build a SBC 355 to replace the tired 305 in my 1983 C10. Really like the TH350c vs 700R4, but seems like no one rebuilds the 350c. Let's give this a shot... I'll let you know how it goes..
    Thanks for the confidence.

This video is very well done. Thanks for such a thorough presentation. I’m now leaning towards doing it myself instead of paying someone else a lot of money! 🤞👏

I saw where you talked about end play without the clutches. But I didn’t see where you showed how to check end play when fully assembled. Did I miss it?

No. You didn’t. The file when I was recording was corrupted. But there are other video’s out there specifically on checking end play. A couple different ways to do it.

GREAT VIDEO!!! I did have a quick question. Can you use a shop press with that bearing install tool to press the bearings down? Probably a lot quicker with the hammer method you are using, but I was just curious. Thank you again, and you got a new subscriber!

Hey! Thanks for the support. So they are bushings, not bearings. You could definitely use a shop press. But you have to be SUPER careful. The bushings, although they look like bearing races….they are VERY soft steel. It would be super easy to deform them using a bearing tool on a press instead of a bushing press kit and a hammer.

I have a 70 nova and my 350 is 2WD. Is this the same process? Also what did you use to clean transmission and remove rust? I know you said brake cleaner but what type of cleaning utensils. Thank you and great video!

    • @WarPaintOffroad

So there are only some very minor differences to the 2wd. The only ones are really on the tail housing and a longer output shaft. But it’s very simple. The rust in this trans was not terrible. It looked worse than it was. So I used brake cleaner and a small 2 inch surface conditioning discs on a twist lock bit in my drill. Took it all right off. You can find that stuff @harborfreight.
