Isla Mujeres is a small island located off the eastern coast of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. The island is approximately 7 miles long and only half a mile wide at its widest point. It is known for its beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters, and laid-back atmosphere.
One of the most popular beaches on the island is Playa Norte, a white sand beach with clear turquoise water. This beach is perfect for swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing. Other popular beaches include Playa Sol, Playa Indios, and Playa Garrafon.
The island also boasts a variety of activities for visitors to enjoy. Visitors can take a glass-bottom boat tour to see the island's coral reefs and marine life, go scuba diving or snorkeling, or take a deep-sea fishing trip. There are also several tour companies that offer snorkeling and diving trips to the nearby MUSA Underwater Sculpture Park, which features over 500 sculptures made by artist Jason deCaires Taylor.
The island also has a rich history and culture. Visitors can explore the Mayan ruins of the Temple of Ixchel, a pre-Columbian temple dedicated to the Mayan goddess of fertility and medicine. The island also has a number of museums and art galleries that showcase the history and culture of the island.
Isla Mujeres is also known for its delicious cuisine. Visitors can find a variety of local restaurants that serve traditional Mexican dishes, seafood and more. The island also offers a variety of bars and nightclubs for those looking for a night out.

Totally agree that this is a great alternative to Cancun, or would even be great for a split week if you want to experience both vibes.

Hola Chicos. I would definitely support anyone spending more time here than Cancun. Love that it is still relatively authentic. I also love that you took the time to teach a little history.
We wanted to check in with our friends on here who we follow and follow us to let you know that we changed our name to match our mission better and align with our future sponsors on our carbon-neutral RTW drive. I hope you have been enjoying our new stuff as much as we enjoy yours. - Turtle and Bear

Golf cart prices have gone up from other reports. Makes sense, I suppose. The other videos I watched were $45 a day - but that was years ago, probably.
Depending on the company. We paid $47
Beautiful island but too busy no chance of even getting on the beach I no I’ve been there
I think depending on the season
Great video but would like to know customer of food
Thank you
I'm looking to stay here early May now. Can't wait to see other good places you might recommend. So do you have a budget for your travels? Just wanted to know how you two got started too. Thanks!!!
We can't recommend any hotels on Isla, we did not like the place we stayed at. Here is about us ua-cam.com/video/TGkvTewgJbQ/v-deo.html
My wife and I are staying at an all inclusive in early May, hoping that the Sargassum won't be an issue!
When you discussed money, would you recommend bringing pesos or US cash? Thank you!
They take both no problem
What’s the name of the restaurant after “Beachin’ Burrito”? Don’t take this wrong, but it was hard to understand the name of it…maybe pan on the name of the place like you did for the other restaurants?
I plan to visit these places you’re recommending.
Haha, yes :)
Do you need to buy your ferry tickets in advance second week of December?
You really don’t
Is it safe there? We have never been to Isla Mujeres ( or any other place in Mexico).
Super safe!!! Safer than Playa del Carmen & cancun
@@Livingtheglobe thanks for letting me know. We’d love to go there!
Noticed all the people wearing masks on the ferry. Do they require it to ride?
not anymore, it was while ago
What is included ?
Where?
Is anything included at hotel belo
I used to live there it’s doesn’t compare to Cancun at all. The water is ruff and horrible. Don’t take they there word on this Island
I don't understand, do you like Cancun better?
DO NOT ADVERTISE dolphins being held in captivity for human amusement! You guys clearly have not done your research and are not aware of the dangers of promoting animal tourism. No follow from me
