- One very common question I get asked is 'what trick should I learn next?'.
Naturally this completely depends on what level you're at. The other variable is that there isn't a strict order of wakeboard progression - it's more about what feels good for you.
In my opinion, if I was teaching someone I would advise the following order:
1. Toeside Backroll
2. Tantrum
3. Heelside Backroll
4. 360
5. Scarecrow.
There are more tricks, and this isn't set in stone for everyone, but this is what I find helps people.
Thanks so much for watching.

Thanks for your videos man just went wakeboarding for the first time yesterday and it was a big success. Been watching all your content on. Repeat it was a huge help.
Heres my order of what I learned
1. backroll
2. Hs 360
3. Scarecrow
4. Frontroll
5. Wrapped bs 360
thanks for the tips! so where will you put raley? is it something to learn after all these tricks?
I generally think it’s probably one of the next tricks after these. It’s not necessarily more difficult, just a whole lot scarier and so having the confidence from these makes a huge difference. Also learning on a wakeskate so the board flys behind you helps a lot. I have a tutorial on my channel if you want to watch it. 😊
When you do a toeside backroll, do you jump off of toe edge or can you switch to heel edge last second as preparing for the roll?
