No-one in England could (or can) EVER name a single member of the F.A. board. There should be a clause that if England fail to qualify for the knock-out stage of a major tournament the entire F.A. board should be named, shamed and sacked. That in some eyes may not be realistic playing that way at a lower level, but why wait till you get to a higher level to play that way?? you may as well aim at the highest standard where ever you are and leave those dinosaurs around in ur wake, and that's what he did. All manor of heinous acts and opinions are protected by so called religious freedoms. That is of course the exceptions of being Christian and disagree with 1, abortion and 2, gay marriage then you're fair game to be labelled/black listed as a fascist and a bigot. The double standards of political correctness/SJW/facist far left/alt left wing/millennial "you don't have the right to offend me or anyone else because im so precious, entitled but I've got the right to silence your freedom of expression/belief because I'm morally in the right" is what's wrong with society and Glenn was a victim of its early inception.... he didn't tow the line and was made a scapegoat for failure at France98 (after the media had gone too far in their campaign of trying to destroy Beckham -out of jealousy- the public started to see the media for what it is and begin to question the tone and agenda they were being fed) it was time to change tact and distract attention. LET'S GET GLENN, HE DIDN'T TAKE GAZZA, HE HAS A FAITH HEALER, WE KNOW BEST WE'RE WRITERS, HE'S TO BLAME, THE PUBLIC ARE STARTING TO SYMPATHISE WITH BECKHAM AND BLAME US. Let's not forget all the critism they gave him for playing Anderton ahead of Beckham. Total hypocrites.

Steve Perryman's summary is probably pretty spot-on in capturing, in a nutshell, Glenn Hoddle's experiences as both a player and as a coach/manager. In many ways, we were lucky to have him grace our football grounds (and TV screens) as a player and later as a coach but, as always with the extraordinarily gifted, never for long enough: there will always be some people seeking to bring successful people back to the gutter with as hard a thump as they can engineer. It used to be the tabloid press in those days. (These days, it's SJWs and the twisted agenda of the so-called liberal left (Far Left)
So, maybe it's a good thing for Glenn that he left the England job when he did. These days, he's the wrong gender, the wrong sexual orientation, the wrong colour, the wrong nationality (probably), the wrong social-demographic group, the wrong religion, the wrong... everything. Sorry. Turned into a bit of a rant!

In the 48 years that I've been on this planet, England has been plagued, in + outside of football, by poor leadership......... it continues to this day, sadly.
The 50 odd caps, Glenn got for England, in a period when we were mediocre on a good day, painfully reflect this........... Platini suggested 150 caps would have been more fitting, but those at the helm thought otherwise...............
The decision to terminate his managerial post was another act of incompetence by those who are supposed to be among the most capable. The whole affair was a sorry farce, orchestrated by our sports writers, their overgrown sense of self-importance + laughably hypocritical moralising, all which served as a 12th man for the opposition better than any one man you could ever hope to have on the bench..........
Whatever was, or wasn't said, on the subject that led to Glenn's dismissal, it was the Times, I believe, whose writer was no doubt delivering a journalistic masterclass by allowing the interview to enter into territory more suited, perhaps, to that where you'd think he was interviewing the Arch Bishop of Canterbury*........ ffs!!!!
Let's hope our hacks don't decide Southgate isn't to their taste + snag him up on his views on............ gardening, or some other irrelevance..........
So, to my mind, it's patently clear that where Hoddle + England, are concerned, pitifully poor leadership is right at the core of the decisions made in this area, perhaps you'll agree????
I am, of course, ridiculously, wholly + absolutely biased....... an insult to any claim of impartiality.......... I'm as partial as it gets!!!! I grew up in a strict, Tottenham household, the youngest of 4, attending games I haven't forgotten, I never remembered them to begin with.......... you can't forget what you never remembered, if you see my point?.?........ Supporting Spurs was never a choice, for me, any more than the colour of my eyes was....... It wasn't an oppressive thing, I was free to support whoever else I wanted to.......... + if I'd decided to do that, the choice of where else I would live, would have been mine, too!!!?!?!?
Like most families, there was a belief system, a code of conduct, + a football club....... it's healthy tribalism......... it's tribalism, anyway!
Hoddle, in the 'Hammer Tribe', was like how a patron saint is to a catholic family........ a couple of rungs below a god....... faultless + blameless, + you certainly don't 'dis' the man........ not in front of Mum........ say what you like about me, she may have agreed with you......... not Glenn, though....... other people's mums, we all know, can be terrifying + as we all have, they, too, have their triggers............ pull a trigger + what follows can be fearsome.......... oh, dear, you don't want to know........ God rest her soul......
To summarise + conclude, biased, or otherwise............ if you're unsure which camp I fall into, you really haven't been paying attention?!? I'm to the far right of biased....... a long walk east of Hitler!
However, by no means does this mean that what I've said about Sir Glenn (alright, I know...... he's not a 'Sir'** ) isn't spot on................ because it is!
I'm not saying I'm right............ no, sorry....... that's precisely what I'm saying.........
I'm right, you may disagree? In which case, you'd be wrong!
Now that's all sorted out, I'll say 'cheerio'......... well done, by the way, for reading what isn't much, but many folks would go on about it as though it were.......
    Reality Check:
Less than 600 words, to this point, so, less than 2 minutes reading time, on average.
    * who, by the way, is all Yid!
** a final insult to anything you might consider to be a form of leadership. Hoddle has never been honoured, Harry Kane, just last month, received an MBE, Garth Crooks, Gary Mabbutt, both did before him........ + Arse Wanger is an honorary knight!
Even, Ian Wright has been honoured!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a bloody outrage......... we nearly lost Glenn, recently...........
I will just add, I'm not getting any younger, either.......
    I rest my case.

HOOORRRH-DUL!!!! His loss was England's, at player and coaching level. I always say that the FA have it in for truly innovative guys, people who think outside the box. Alf Ramsey's funeral they didn't even send a representative. He won the world cup in spite of them, not in collusion with them, fighting their dictates all the way apparently. They want only yes men in the job, irrespective of how they perform, and are quick to ditch people who look as though they might achieve something. Bobby Robson was probably the exception.

I don't think the media wants/wanted England to do badly, they just want to sell newspapers and make money. These days we call it "clickbait" The press have been doing it since the beginning. If just the tiniest inconsequential bit of negativity comes out from a person of interest the press would blow it up to make it seem a million times worse than it is, just for the sake of a headline, and the opposite also applies, where if just the tiniest inconsequential bit of positivity comes out from a person of interest the press would blow it up to make it seem a million times greater than it is.
The press care about one thing and one thing only, making money. If a person or persons needs to be trampled or elevated to do so, then they will without regret or remorse.
