  • The food in Israel is reason enough to visit the country. I’ve gained at least 3kg during my week sampling the best of what the country has to offer my tastebuds. This is actually not the easiest thing to do as the food in Israel is so healthy - What do you think about Israeli food?

It's like me going to Kashmir in India and asking if a Kashmiri dish is a typical Indian dish knowing that most Kashmiris are separatists and consider the Indian army as an occupier. Or going to a native american reserve and ask them if their food is typical US food. It's ignorant, insensitive, and I wouldn't mind beeing schooled if I ever asked that question. There’s also an amazing one in the center of Abu Gush (a small arabic town near Jerusalem, very friendly village). It is best when served fresh and hot. The pasta in Israel is much better than any pasta I had anywhere in Italy. Where I live, in Modiin, we have this coffee shop called Michalis, where they make their own pastas and gorme pasteries (it’s Kosher). Nothing like it in the world!!! And ice cream, Glida Golda.
