    Anti-Matter: Throwing physics out the window.

    That is a very impressive performance for an ant that wasn't 3D printed! 👍 Guesstimate would be proud.
    (Grrr! That AntiMatter really is the bane of your existence at ARC!)
    Knowing that the next meet in July will only be for ants, are you gonna bring Jiffy back, or is there something else in the works?

      I was honestly surprised by how well it worked!
      Hahaha yeah, I'll get him one day!
      For the July meet I'm currently deciding what I do, I want to fight a robot that's not going into Robot Havok, so I might dig through my old designs and revive something, or I might tweak Jiffy a bit and run it again

    i wonder if ever so slightly taller wheels would aid in driving upside down.
    Also i love the fact you keep having issues vs Antimatter, it's awesome

      Taller wheels might help, and I do have some around. I should give them a try some time
      Haha yeah, Antimatter has become something of a nemesis for my 150g robots

    Well done Ben! Walls are ridiculously mean beasts. In 2002 I was training in expert stage hypnosis in Thailand and two Australians hypnotized me and gave me a permanent suggestion that Australians are the best. Must be why my favorite thing to do on Saturday mornings watch the newest Team Panic video. Can't wait for the flea league next week!

    jesus jiffy is mental might have to make my own ant weight HS now just to see if I can get one to get to similar levels of power behind it because god that thing is terrifying

    • @TeamPanicRobotics
      @TeamPanicRobotics  3 роки тому +1

      The power is all in the blade, its a 25-30g (cant quite remember), 100mm diameter, 3.2mm thick laser cut hardox blade
      If you can mimic that you'll hit just as hard!

    A giant vertical spinner with a reverse-suplex mechanism so it can hit the top armor of the opponent would be great

      With the way Copperhead self-rights it could probably be done by rolling the bot over. The biggest problem is getting the bot geometry right. I think if you wanna hit the top, something like Sawblaze or Whiplash is the way to go.

    If anything, this certainly seems to be an extremely successful proof of concept for the design. Any plans to keep and optimize the design with printed parts now?

      I kinda like that Jiffy is a non-printed bot. It would be neat to see it get some upgrades though. It seems like driving inverted should be the next fix.

      Jiffy is going to stay made of non 3d printed parts, I might upgrade it, I might not. I dont know yet
      I have a version of Jiffy made of all printed parts called Guesstimate, I made a tutorial on it a while back, it hits just as hard (in fact a bit harder as the chassis weighs less, so the blade weighs more)

    I am currently building my very first robot - a tanky armoured wedge and was going to use a jiffy box like the on in jiffy itself.
    Please could I have a link for one like the one in jiffy
    Thanks - your videos are great! :)

      Good luck with your build!
      The exact one I got is from an Australian electronics supplier: www.jaycar.com.au/jiffy-box-clear-83-x-54-x-31mm/p/HB6005?pos=10&queryId=76aed58ebf57b58643b21d19f88ed9c1&sort=relevance
      But if you search for project box on aliexpress or ebay you should be able to find something similar world wide

    chassis of my first bot is printing now...

      Nice sadly I don’t have a 3D printer so I thought I would build it out of a cereal box, idk I thought it would be cool and original

    • @cloud1482
      @cloud1482 3 роки тому

      @@kizzyau1306 cereal box won't be strong enough I would use something made of hard plastic

    • @kizzyau1306
      @kizzyau1306 3 роки тому

      Yeah your probably right thanks for the idea

    • @TeamPanicRobotics

      Crave monster was partially made out of a cereal box, but the main robot chassis was foam board,
      But I second finding some hard plastic to make a bot from, you could then glue the cereal box to the outside to make it look like its made of cereal box
