The reason Serato is considered the Pro DJ software is because if you spend the money on an expensive controller you get serato for $0.00 but when you want to get plugins you have to pay
I have stayed away from custom skins because the default has been decent for a while now, but I’ll definitely be trying out project x. The bits I dislike in the default is the small text size for important info like bpm and key, but looks like this solves that issue. Also big shout out to the whole Virtual DJ product upgrades thing - I paid my money in 2006 and still getting the free upgrades through to today. Anyone on the fence there is also a monthly subscription option too.
I was using this skin for a while but i've moved on to Vanced GT and Project Control. Options are insane and the later provide built in scripts that u won't get on the default of any other skin.
Does a skin exist that has 3 colors for the waveforms (highs, mids, lows)? I don’t understand why every skin has so many random colors for the waveforms

However Project X is the default skin on Steroids, Meth, Coke and a triple shot of Brandy 😵💫🤪 WOWZER 😅 Always wanted to change the default red and blue colour but am definitely not script savvy and don’t have time to learn it. I started with VDJ and loved it for its customization and features. Effects didn't sound good for me, so I switched to Traktor, but I can't tell you enough how I miss VDJ feature package.
Effects are a little better now, but not amazing. Now there are a few controllers with hardware effects (DDJ-1000 SRT, the new Rane Four and a few others) so they kind of solve that issue if you have the cash.
@@JohnSmith-pn2vl Yes, you can. Add a VST to VirtualDJ To use a VST effect with VirtualDJ simply install the VST on your computer. Then copy the DLL file (Windows) or VST file (MacOS) from the VST install directory to VirtualDJ plugin directory found at /documents/VirtualDJ/Plugins64/SoundEffects/. After that, the effect is available in VirtualDJ just like the native standard effects. Keep in mind you need the 64-bit version of any VST effect to use with modern 64-bit version of VirtualDJ.
For me 2021vdj is better than vdj2023., Why?because since i installed the vdj2023 my laptop has been hanging or lag, so now i already deleted that version😁, i returned to old version again 😁

You can change them text settings for your music library

Great skin, but please tell me that there is a way for me to change the effect that the filter knob applies 🙏

I'm till date a VDJ PRO user till date, the only thing i don't like about VDJ is the effects.
