Lovely video. I have COPD and I'm 70. There is a huge swing a couple of miles away from where I live with stunning views of the Spanish Sierra Nevada and the Badlands. I will start having coffee there with my dog because of this video. With a cup and saucer, of course!
@@Eryykc It is pretty amazing. Sometimes you have to queue to use it. If it's busy I'll walk up the hill and sit somewhere near. The view is fantastic. Thanks again for the video. Inspiring.
Thanks for the coffee :). What a wonderful video. It is refreshing to see romanticizing ordinary life from a male perspective. I just stumbled across this video, and it is the first video of yours I've watched so far and can't wait to watch more. The tag you made is a great idea!
Thank you! I don’t see life from this type of content from the make perspective much, but for me it’s a big deal. After a really dark time last fall, I learned to embrace the gentle adventures. Most male vlogs are productivity and making money and super fit guys. Nothing wrong with that, but I wanted to ad to the cozy vibes space
Oh, what a breath of fresh air this video is. Thank you for sharing your day. I love when UA-cam all of a sudden comes up with these new channel suggestions. You are so polite and kind. Thank you for this message. You’ve got a new subscriber. ❤
That looks awesome. I am so jealous! I am 10 minutes from the beach. But haven't the energy to get there. And I can't get back up if I sat on the ground.😂 So nice to watch though.
Im in very wet and gloomy Wales, UK. It was so lovely to join you on the quiet beach for coffee and the beauty of the early morning. I keep waking early hours in pain. It was special to join you on your self care day. I learnt i need to be kinder to myself. Thank you.
Thank you, I understand waking up in pain, most morning I wake up in pain. But learning to be kind to myself is a big part of learning to take care of myself.
I love that you did walk with a teacup and saucer for your afternoon tea in the botanical gardens! Thanks for the reminder to cherish each moment. The quote at the end was very fitting as well.
I watched because of the « How I Romanticize My Ordinary Life ». I love it. I want to do that. You video is very artistic and calming. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for spending some time with me! In reality my life is not that exciting, but when I find fun little moments throughout the day, it changes how I view my life.
Lovely spot for tea! I feel this could be a magic carpet! The straps make it look rustic and unique. I love the tags. And you got to the bookstore. I do not that I could ever be that comfortable alone at a coffee shop or eatery, I always feel like people are looking at me. The ending bench is such a great spot! I do love that you make these days special and open to adventures!
Thank you for being here, I got used to going out alone when I was in my 20s. I was super broke, and I had a VERY strict budget that allowed me to go out to eat once a month. I would go to my favorite restaurant and order my favorite dish there and tipped well. It gave me a bright spot of joy each month where I felt like a king for an hour. I have always found peace in being in nature.
Thank you for sharing how draining it is going to endless medical appointments. I try to make my home as comfortable as possible seeing as I spend a lot of time here! I have chronic pain in my back & feet but I will try to do something relaxing this week like having a cuppa in a park. Thank you for inspiring me & others. Blessings from Australia
Thank you for your kind words my friend. I’m with you on the back pain, I basically have arthritis though my spinal doc said that was an oversimplification. Nothing that can be fixed, so doing physical therapy and yoga at home.
@@Eryykc --> [Moving this comment up to the Top-Level where you will see it quicker ...] New to your channel, but maybe, tell us in a video what you pains are. Where we can understand you more. I know HIPAA, of course, but you don't have to be really detailed. Just like spinal pain or whatever, where we can understand. Because I have pain, but I know mine isn't probably as bad as yours is. Yet, it something that I deal with daily.
You are a breath of fresh air, sir. I always felt alone with the illnesses and constant appointments, procedures and surgeries since 2017. It's tiresome and most don't understand. I have a procedure coming up and this video was right on time. My rythym is messed up because my godmother would always be with me during every procedure or surgery. She passed last year and since then, going to the doctor's have always felt heavier. It'll be nice, for once, to take my notebook with me and romanticize my day before and after the appointment. Sit somewhere calming, or a new coffee house besides Starbucks, and write poetry again. Crack my notebook open and breathe into the pages. It'll help to make these appointments less daunting. Subscribed. Keep shining!
Man, that opening sure made me feel good. You seem like the Bob Ross of Mental Health. I just found your channel, and I could listen to you & your voice morning-until-night.
Did I need to bring a tea and saucer...I DID. YUP! Did I NEED to wear my fave perfume just to clean my house and cook for my family...yeah I did, I did that for me. It's important. I feel too often we don't give ourselves permission to enjoy things in life. Another thing I wanted to mention as the video is on romanticizing life is to enjoy the process, even the undesirable ones. I was grinding, getting my living room carpet clean with a fussy machine, I was sweaty and frustrated, it was taking all day, the house furnishings were discheveled and out of place... just chaos. I was rushing to get it over with and internally complaining, and I felt God tell me -What's your rush? Just enjoy the process/journey...it's not going to go anywhere anyway, might as well enjoy it. And something just clicked for me, yeah God you're right, the process isn't going to go away just because I want it to, I might as well try to enjoy it. My perspective changed from grinding and rushing to, I'm going to make the best of this even if it's boring. It was satisfying to see the dirt be removed and to hear and smell the rain from outside through the open windows. It helped.
Love this, thank you for sharing your story and how romanticizing the mundane has helped you. I’m learning to even enjoy the gloomy days in a way. I’m trying to lean into my life experiences instead of pulling away.

@@Eryykc Well, @Eryykc, you are having that Impact (similar to his) now. Just know you are touching many people, and I can realize that -- from just watching this first video of yours on my Recommendations List.
Good morning Eryykc, I like how you spell your name because it's unique. I recently lost my sister this past January and boy my family and I grieved heavily because she collapse on her job and died instantly of blood clogs hitting her lungs. She was 53 years old and had just received her 2nd masters degree. I'm glad that you are finding joy in the simplest things of life. We all should do what your doing constantly for self care because life happens to us all and sometimes we cannot control what goes on in the world. But as it relates to us we need to slow down and smell the roses.
Yes! Life presents challenges that we cannot control, but if we can find joy in small moments it can help keep us centered. I still have bad days, but I am learning to navigate them better.
Sorry for your loss. Any family member that leaves us before their time (or even when it is their time), is so difficult to deal with. I know your pain, because I felt it during Covid as I had losses too. And, being the one still here, isn't as easy as it should be, because that person is not and will not be with us ever again. And, that's what is so hard about the Passing.

Back pack diy! how did you attach the leather belt?. This sounds like something i would do. Always looking to repurpose instead of adding to landfills. And luggage tag idea is great.
I used rivets, first time. One of the rivets came undone, but overall it works great! Plus no one has a backpack like mine, it is as odd and unique as me.

Yes I hope your health gets better. Life is tough. Sometimes my husband passed away on 2005. I’m boating accident and you don’t have to respond. I’m just saying that sometimes life is a picnic so now everybody’s grown and gone. I live in an apartment video with us I love the bookstore. I probably go there and sick and have coffee and, stay for a good while. Have a great day.💕
For me, I do want to respond. And, I lost my remaining parent recently, and it makes me realize (even more) how life is so short. And, we never have enough memories with that person.
Just know, @SharonC, that you are not alone. Others of us feel the pain of our losses too. Believe me, you are not just sick & alone, because others of us live the same way.
@Eryykc ... New to your channel, but maybe, tell us in a video what you pains are. Where we can understand you more. I know HIPAA, of course, but you don't have to be really detailed. Just like spinal pain or whatever, where we can understand. Because I have pain, but I know mine isn't probably as bad as yours is. Yet, it something that I deal with daily. But, for me, I know it won't sound like much, but I've had foot issues. During early Covid, I hit my heel or bumped it just right where it felt like I stepped on a land mine. And, I didn't get help right off, because I was told that it was just Plantar Fasciitis. And, also, you couldn't just call a doctor and get into podiatrist, because I'm on a HMO and have to go to PCP first -- then, get referred to Podiatrist, and also wait (forever) to get an appointment with the podiatrist. 2 weeks to get to PCP, then 4 to 6 weeks to get to the Podiatrist. But, you probably remember how Covid was, and that's what we experienced in Houston, Texas. So, I watched videos on UA-cam and tried to stretch my foot to wellness, but it kept giving me a million different sensations and repeatable pain patterns. And, eventually, I got into a Podiatrist, which was hard back then, and they xrayed it -- saying it might been cracked a little in the navicular bone. But, not worth surgery, yet they didn't realize (I think) that I had some nerve damage. But, I've been doing lots of hard foot exercises to try and stop the pain and get it back to normal, and now, it's finally got to where I can walk (finally after 1.5 yr of not walking easily) and don't have to fake-a-gait anymore. Because, for a while, I realized how complicated our ability to walk is; I didn't have respect before, but I sure do now ... Lot more going into our feet and foot muscles, nerves, tendons, etc., than most of us really know. Thus, now, I just deal with flashing nerve pain (randomly) throughout my day, if I do something unpredictable or even sometimes just does weird sensations when I walk and touch (or footfall) into different gradients of landscape and topography. Anyway, I do have more understanding and humility now toward people who deal with lifetimes of pain, because I've had numerous surgeries in the past. But, nothing lasted as long as this. In closing, love your channel, and I am going to sub ... right now.
Thank you my friend, I appreciate you sharing your story. I have Lupus, and arthritis. My Lupus causes inflammation and pain when my immune system attacks healthy cells. I also have a few bulging disks in my spine and bone spurs that hit my nerves a few times.
@@Eryykc Yes, thank you, Eric, for writing back. Yes, I have similar herninated disks in my lower back. I think it was like L3, L5, and L6; or maybe, L2, then L4 and L5 -- well, skips one. I grew up on a farm where there was a lot of heavy lifting, like mowing hay and throwing bales. So, it was hard manual labor, which I didn't realize at the time -- that I would feel it later. Yet, all of us have one type of struggle to something else, probably both physical and mental ... for every person alive. But, it's just a reminder that we are all in this together. And, I love your channel. Now, I'm waiting a video I found of yours where you talk about your diagnoses, which help me to understand you better.

Love your music. I call it Low. Smooth lounge like music. KCMary🙏😊🙏. .piano with a bass strumming in the back ground. The best😊
I was looking for something between Mr. Rogers and Miles Davis, a groove that has a gentle vibe.
Arnt you and your vid sweet, I need to be kinder to myself but more importantly to be kinder to my daughter who has a chronic illness, I’ve found it difficult in the past to have empathy, you are perfect exactly how you are, I love you

@eryykc I just discovered your channel and want to say thank you…. 😊 I’m not sure where you are but we have a botanical gardens here in Birmingham Alabama…. I spent Mothers Day alone there and fell in love with it…. I’m going through a divorce and I’m fighting some health issues that make it hard for me to go hiking like I would love to do eventually but the gardens are wonderful because it’s in nature but there’s plenty of comfortable places for me to rest and relax…. I’m trying to love myself more, I’m a little broken but I’m working on it…. 😊
I’m so glad you are here, thank you for sharing your story, I am sorry to hear you are going through so much. For what it’s worth, it sounds like you are making space for where you are, and prioritizing your health and for that I am very proud of you. You are not alone my friend.
It’s the only way to have tea!

Beautiful video! 💯❤️ Just Subscribed!
Thanks for subbing!

Ditto! ❤
Have a great day.💕
❤❤
For me, I do want to respond.
❤️🙏, good advice 😊✝️

I am loving your journey to peace@@Eryykc
Enjoyed the peaceful vibe of ur vid.
@@audreymo63 thank you 🙏🏾
@@Eryykc Yes, thank you, Eric, for writing back.
Stellar content. Thanks so much for your kindness and encouragement.
Enjoy today ✌🏼

Just came across your video. (Also wached your diagnosis video to understand it better). It's very lovely! Next time get your feet in the sand! Some connection with the earth will do you great! And i would also ditch the apple watch.
All valid suggestions, thank you my friend. I do need to work on my connection to the earth.
Such a beautiful place - where is this???
The botanical gardens in Williamsburg VA. It’s run entirely by volunteers in the area.

Who decided That You Have Mental Illness 😐
No one decided, I realized it when I could not fix my struggles on my own and needed to get help.
