I own the identical watch but in stainless steel. It belonged to my father-in-law who passed away back in 2000. I never knew it existed when one day I was looking for a piece of jewellery in my wife's bedside drawer. It was in a cloth bag with other remnants that belonged to her father and mother. My wife had no idea that it even existed but there it was. It keeps good time. It was purchased sometime in the 1980's.
