1.5x Speed - thank me later
I guess Im randomly asking but does anyone know of a trick to log back into an instagram account??
I was stupid lost my password. I love any tricks you can offer me.
@Bishop Quentin Instablaster :)
1.5x = regular talking speed. 1x = southern talking speed. haha :)
This is me thanking you later
Thanks!
I bought into the Festool system several years ago with the TS75 and tracks. Back then there were no other players in the track saw market. As a hobbyist /amateur woodworker, today I would possiblybuy something less expensive. Having said that, I'm glad to be in the Festool system. Love the quality, love the fact that the tools are repairable. I even like the systainers - they keep everything where it needs to be instead of thrown in the trunk or carried around in the original cardboard boxes. It should be noted that the systainers are a part of the price difference. My TSC55 also works great for this - and is cordless. Thanks for the video - glad to have found your channel.
Thanks! I was on the fence for years about which tracksaw to get. Your video sealed the deal on the KREG. Arrived today cant wait to use it!
Nice review honest and to the point your input will help many of us
Chad,
Thanks for taking the time to break both of these down. Made my decision so much easier. Thanks again!
I'm glad this helped you. Thank you very much for the comment
Which one did you end up getting?
Great presentation! Informative and easy to understand. Thanks.
Great reviews and helpful as always!
Glad I found your channel! Loved you on that series of videos you made for another site, hated the change after you left.
Like you I used my circular saw for years with a home made track, and still use it on occasion. I have a Scheppach (PL75). For the greater depth for when I'm cutting Kitchen bench tops. As you know I am a pretty serious part timer but find this brand suits me quite well. I've had it for three years and it still powers through the work. It cost me $420 Aus which included 2 X 1.2mt tracks with clamps. If and when it cuts out (pun intended) :) I would be happy to buy another one.
Very good video. Clear, slow enough to follow, fair to both. Loved the finale with standard circular saw
I am with Ron H, I look forward to see your ACS complete system vs. mft3 tabe system. Can't wait!
Always appreciate your honesty and fairness 👍
Really like your format. Thank you
Great review video on these two Track Saws. I have many of the Kreg devices in my DIY shop, but didn't think the Track Saw was up to the same level as the Festool system. After your video I'm having second thoughts and feel that you might have helped me make the decision to go with the Kreg over the Festool for my shop. Additionally the ability to use the new Kreg Adaptive Cutting System means that I have more upgrade options for the Kreg over the Festool too. I was a little concerned that the Kreg tracks were too long, then I remembered that I have a lot of rough sawn cherry and walnut boards that are 10 feet long and with that in mind the longer track would be welcome to straighten one edge of those boards. Thanks for a very informative review.
Don't worry festool has a wildly expensive work table that's compatible with track saw upgrades
Hi Chad. You can get a saw dust bag kit for the TS 55REQ & TS 75EQ. Also Festool has a guide rail deflector.
He knows, he’s just hating that’s all
Chad. Please do a comparison of the Kreg ACS complete system with all accessories to include the table with wheels against the Festool with rail and mft3 table system. I am waiting for some to do that.i am thinking of getting rid of my Festool TS55 and rails. From just features alone for the Kreg complete system it seems the better deal.
Ron
What did you end up doing?
I was sold on the right handed grip. Great review!!
That was a very informative video Chad. I’ve been thinking about getting a track saw so it helped to see these two compared. For now your upcoming video on jigs for my circular saw will be helpful.
Your shop is looking great. I really like the collection of tools you have displayed on the walls and shelves. I hope all is well and you’re enjoying life.
Don my friend! Yes things are going better. I've been meaning to email you. Sorry.
Chad Stanton glad things are getting better. Have fun. 😃👍🏻
Thx, liked this comparison Chad.
Great comparison video!
Awesome review thanks
Good Job in the explanation of features
Great review. Thank you.
Ty much. Very educated review.
Thanks for the good and honest review, Chad.
Very good and very fair comparison.
You are the man Chad thanks MstrMoe
A very good review Chad. Thanks 🇺🇸
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Everybody has different budgets. I just try to give my honest opinion
Recently, I visited my son and his family in another state. They were planning on building a wall of built-in cabinets and bookshelves and asked for my help. (I put myself through school making kitchen cabinets.) Other than a drill, the only other power tool that they had was a craftsman job site table saw. It didn't have the rip capacity that we needed, so I suggested buying the Makita track saw. No one had one in stock locally and the one we ordered from Amazon didn't arrive, so we were 'forced' to buy the Kreg track saw from a semi-local Woodcraft store. I've been very impressed with it. It produces table-saw-quality cuts. There is very little tearout on either side of the cut. One of the biggest surprises is how well the dust bag does in capturing the sawdust.
I’m very interested in the blade left aspect... how is the power? Enough to rip wet treated 2x lumber? I build decks and would love the ability to joint an edge on my lumber
Wow Chad that was a great review, it is refreshing to see somebody reviewing a product without a bias towards their preferred manufacturer. I've just ordered a DeWalt flex volt track/plunge saw. I don't really need one of enough to get one but alas I am a tool junkie so I couldn't help myself. 😂😂👍🙂🙂
Thank you very much. I try to be as honest as i can. I don't want to mislead anyone
@@ChadStanton and we all appreciate that so much buddy! Please keep these fantastic videos coming chad, you help teach so many of us great tips that make our jobs and hobbies easier and safer, thank you very much!!!
@@1982MCI Thank you so much for the kind words. It truly means a lot to me
Hi, is it compatible to install kreg rip cut to a festool circular saw?
I would have liked to see some sample cuts otherwise thanks for the video. Also what about accessories that fit the festool. Do they also fit the Kreg eg rail squares, parallel guides etc.
interesting video. as i only work in solid timber and have now retired the idea of getting value from a track saw isn't there. however, i can definitely see the benefit where sheet goods are concerned. whilst we naturally presume that the more you pay the better the quality, that isn't necessarily so. i was surprised when i saw a festool saw dismantled and realised the arbour had no bearing inside. just a greased recess.
Thanks for this honest review. It will help me a lot to know wich one to buy
I hate when videos imply you can't be a good woodworker unless you have really expensive tools. It just isn't so. Some of the best furniture ever made was the Chippendale era, and they didn't even have electricity! :-)
I have the Festool and its quality of cut is super, the edge needs no further work. Razor sharp, no feathering or splinters. If the Kreg cuts as well, then buy it but if not then what do you want?
@@jeffstanley4593 you can get a good, clean, razor sharp cut that needs no further work out of almost any saw, including cheap garbage from harbor freight because the cut is more dependant o mb what blade you use, not the saw itself. Now, other components of the saw do have a big impact on what we do or want to do but that's a whole other conversation and while the bigger names will give you more life, better accuracy, more opti ok nts, easier setup, etc, etc, etc, the saw is actually only the engine that drives the actual tool that is responsible for giving you that , smooth, accurate, splinter free, crisp cut that only a good quality blade can deliver.
I don't think I would ever buy a track saw, but I can see how this is a great tool for the pro. Real enjoy "Should You Own It" videos Chad. Looking forward to the news letter.
Thank you Thomas
great side by side review.
Thank you for this review.
What I really like about the Festool TS55 is it's accuray. Has the Kreg the same accuray? Are the things that need to be square very square, and the things that need to be parallel really parallel? Is there any axial play in the arbour? Does it cut at the same place in the splinterprotection every time? Does it cut the splinterguard in a wrong place when cutting at 45 degreees?
My experience with the Festool is very pleasing regarding this. My experience with non-Festool is bad, though not generalizable off course.

Just bought kreg from woodcraft on sale good till 2/28/2021 . you get saw and 1- 62" track for 399.00 then they give you another 62" track and track connectors about 140.00 free. Nice
Very informative. Would really like to see some more project videos.
They are coming. Some of the size of my jobs can't be competed in a week like some of the other youtubers. 90% of what i make is for someone else. So i have to build for the customer, and flim, then edit. So thank you for being patient with me my friend.
Chad Stanton 👍
I was surprised to hear you be so objective. Thanks for the review as I am considering what to get.
4 years later, still a great video. Got my subscription
Thank you so much 😊
@@ChadStanton no , thank you. I don’t have any friends or family involved or interested in woodworking. It’s content creators like you who I look to when I have questions. I had been bouncing between the Ts55 and the Kreg. Your video tipped the scales and I ordered the Kreg 5 minutes ago.
@@ryanevans8182 that’s great i was able to help. I offer a free monthly newsletter if you’re interested
Thank You.
Hey Chad what would u choose between kreg and dewalt
Track saw are all the rage less in the furniture making than in the cabinet making industries where they rule for being portable (even a job table is not as convenient for wood sheet), dead accurate (more so than a circular saw on a track due to the track mating system embeded in the track saw shoe) and almost dust free. And the last one is a must for working at the client's place and for the cabinet maker health (sinus and lungs hate wood dust particles).
Now as far as comparing the TS55 and the Kreg, I never saw the Kreg but own a festool for years... like many I should probably have gone to either bosch makita or dewalt a little bit cheaper but I always feel that come feature is missing on the one or the other. Also being a pro tool, availability of spare parts or consumables is definitly there.
Even more interesting to me and may be you'll go there is the Kreg MFT counterpart, may be an abordable solution for the hobbyist compared to the overkill and overpriced MFT from Festool.
Great video, Chad, and very comprehensive. One question I have is about replacement blades. Can you use any blade that matches the size or do you need a blade that only Kreg or Festool provides? If you can use any blade that would seem to allow you to pick the tooth count you prefer for the material you are working on.
Great question. As far as i know, the Festool blade is of a metric size. Forrest Saw Blades now offers replacement blades for the Festool saw. I will ask them about the Kreg.
It depends on the blade specs. Several companies make replacement blades for Festool saws, but not for other manufactures. TS55 blades will fit my Makita, but I won't be able to use the scoring feature, and I'll lose a small amount of cut depth.
A few months ago I watched an detailed evaluation of the internal quality of a Festool. The objective was to determine the value of a quality built tool. So an internal examination was performed and found that the quality of the internal parts was wanting. Festool used a bushing rather than a bering on the motor. There were a couple of other inferior parts and structural designs that one would not expect from a quality tool. I forget the specific details but that may make an interesting review for you, A.
interesting thank you
Was this breakdown provided on Ave's channel?
Chad Stanton, thx for the video... maybe next time you could do a video that puts them both to the test for us?Gilbert Sanchez, I found that video on "Dirty secrets inside a $1000 saw" very interesting too. Eye opener for me.However, having said that, I must just say that I have in excess of a dozen Festool power tools, many of which I bought second hand (without guarantee) and many of which I own for well over 15 years. Of all these tools, I've only ever had to replace the NiCd batteries on my very oldest drill last year (a CD12 which I bought second hand about 15 years ago for 600ZAR/$40, and the replacement for generic batteries cost me all of +-300ZAR/$20). Nothing else has ever broken, or given me any trouble, whatsoever... that's one of the reasons I'm a Festool junkie. :)
Chad, did you try to fit the Kreg saw on the Festool track? It looks like they are just a mirror image of each other and should fit. Could you let us know if they are interchangeable, meaning if I had the Kreg saw could I buy a longer Festool track and it would work?
It's close, but no they don't match up :-( Good thought, however.
Awesome video I sell both and will recommend this to help with my costumers for their purchase decision.
I'm glad it was helpful. I hardly ever can say a tool is perfect. There is always room to improve. I like to avoid complaining about a tool and just look for improvements.
Bob, You sell both but which would you buy? (putting you on the spot … Hahaha)
@@jeffburton1326 I let the customers make the decision I'm no the one spending the money. We can let the customer use both but this video will let a customer hear from another perspective. The only thing I can add is that the Festool TS 55 and Kreg cannot cut a 45 across a normal 2 by... but that is normally not a issue for the average person.
@@bobh64 Well, that was helpful.
Great review. Thanks. I saw that someone else asked about Makita (my favorite brand) but I also see a lot of Triton. Any experience there?
Sorry, i don't have access to those tools. I have heard great things about the Makita. Triton, i don't know. I had a Triton router and hated it! I actually gave it away. Too much plastic, hard to set up, and the fence was absolutely a piece of junk.
@@ChadStanton I guess that's why every time I see someone using Triton, they are a sponsor.
The tracksaw who has known limits and are familiar to owner will do the work.
28 years back i built my own, some plexi and some oak. Worked then and would do the job today im sure. Used paintertape and sharp blades when delicate items 😄. And despite i got a HKC 55 18 v since it came out i still use tape.
Tried some diffrent brands, some are just crap. Others are good.
The only downside with HKC 55 is that they dont make an electric adapter like the sandingtool festool make.
Will probably sacrify one battery and have one made by a electrician. They do know whats needed inside 😄👍, i dont
If it helps, I'm pretty sure there is a dust-collection bag by Festool that you can attach.
Yep there’s one. They also have a cable deflector for their rails.
Kreg against reigning champion? I'm not seeing the champion here... Maffel MT55CC. However, it was a great comparison between the two!
Just bought the Kreg adaptive cutting mobile table and saw kit from Woodcraft and I told them Chad sent me but all it got me was a smile and no discount but they did say that Chad is a nice guy. I used it to make cuts on floor installation on a 750 sq ft floor 5 rooms without transitions that I installed 16 by 32 solid core vinyl tile from the Orange box store . It worked great,I used it with my old Clearvue mini cyclone and the chip collection is decent. I only have used the saw on the Kreg table with the track and the cord shoe works decent with the cord and vac hose. Some folks have posted online that different saw can be used with the Kreg table but I have not seen it myself. I have had the Eurekazone cutting track system for quite a few years from back when Festool was the only alternative for a track saw but the Kreg system with table mobility is a winner for a amateur like me but as you say may not be robust enough for a professional like yourself.
Good info you have there.
Oh and if Woodcraft gives you a discount, let me know, cuz i still haven't gotten mine either. Hahahaha
Are the tracks identical? I have the Kreg saw and have been wondering if I could use accessories meant for the Festool/ Makita saws to include the very long tracks.
Me too! I'd like to know if the Kreg track will work with a Festool saw and vice-versa?
@@PeterEller as it turns out they aren't. They look almost identical but the runner that guides the saw has a different offset between the two tracks but the accessories are mostly compatible
I love the dust bag on the kreg
thanks
Seinfeld reviews tools. Extremely helpful review, thank you!
The festoon has always had the cord guide for the track ....
Solid video - thanks for the info. I'm new to the tracksaw game (been woodworking for 3+ yrs now), why do companies sell track saws without the tracks included? They're always a separate component. Whats the point? Is the track saw really viable on its own? Or is it some kind of marketing ploy to help convince consumers to pull the trigger because it a $300 saw, then a $100 track feels a bit better than a $400 track saw haha?
It makes sense when you think of the tracks as an overall rail system and the saws as add ons. Albeit a rail system that only using varying saws and routers
Solution for carrying case = inexpensive cooler (you can even add your own custom cut foam bottom so the saw and accessories stay in their places.)
great idea!
Like a lot of people, I'm forced to try to balance quality and price. Reviews like this make it clear that you can still get good quality while scaling back your budget. I think the only thing that would have made the review better is seeing them both in action.
Still, great review.
When making a bevel cut, does the splinter guard get trimmed again? If so, wouldn't this throw off zero clearance/ cut line for straight/90 degree cuts?
Sam Flynn I have makita cordless track saw and I can tell you that it doesn’t.
@@stob82 Good to know! Thank you!
I believe you because you did not use the word “systainer”
Finally, Finally, FINALLY... a _RIGHT HANDED_ track saw! I've watched experienced woodworkers walk _cross-armed..._ or crawl hands & knees _on top of the work_ to make a long rip. Because ALL track saws are _LEFT handed..._ until Kreg!
I had to check the date on the video, only $460 for the TS 75? Where Craigslist? The Plunge Cut Track Saw TS 75 EQ-F-Plus on Festool's US site list it as $660, saw only.
No. I said i have the TS 75. To be fair you have to compare it to Kreg against the TS55. Right from Festool website. The TS55 $460
@@ChadStanton Better check that again, we sell both the Festool and Kreg where I work, the TS 55 saw is $590. Same as the website I looked at just now.
is it possible to use the Krek on the Festool track?
Me too! I'd like to know if the Kreg track will work with a Festool saw and vice-versa?
... finally I found that Kreg is a USA company !!!!!!!! .........I will now by all they have I need. I was willing to buy Mafell or Festool or even Bosch because they are NOT Chinese, but an actual product made in USA......THAT is what you should do a video on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing hair
If it wasn't a Kreg, I'd get it!!!
It amazes me they're the only ones that make a left blade track saw.
Are the festool and Kreg Tracks compatible? ? It looks like....
Unfortunately they are not
Chad is correct however the Festool and Makita tracks are interchangeable. I have been a professional carpenter and woodworker for 29 years. Kreg has some fine tools/jigs but their quality is slowly declining. I have an original Foreman pocket hole machine that was made in the US and have easily drilled over 100,000 holes with it. The new plastic version couldn't handle that. They have had to lower production costs in order to appeal to the DIY crowd because their older stuff doesn't wear out and many pros haven't needed to replace it. I am a huge Kreg fan but I believe in buying the best tool I can afford and in track saws, it's Festool. The Makita is however a very nice saw.
I have the ts55, and just sold my Ts 75. To be honest, I am not impressed. Maybe the Kreg would change my mind, but the Festool is more "packaging" than substance. The motor startup is my concern. They both sound like they are going to die, from day 1. I went back to my Milwaukee 18v cordless saw that won't die. I use the hardboard/plywood jig for straight cuts, and other than the hassle of clamping , instead of relying on the neoprene, I see no advantage of the track saw. Just my two cents..
I too was surprised at the sound of the Festool saw. But i'm told that is what "brushless" motors sound like. News to me. I'm not used to it. I always think the motor is straining.
I have been thinking of the Festool ts75 or the Dewalt or the Kreg track saw the money is one thing but I want something that is good I don't do a lot of woodworking but Ido about 7 good job a year I have hard a lot of good about Festool but I own a lot of Kreg and Kreg is great and DeWalt is always the go-to tools I don't want think money is that big of a deal I like that you put them head to head but I must say at this moment I can't say which one I will get one thing is I don't sell my woodworking. and so having a good shop is great how far do I want to spend in that case Kreg will win or Dewalt but to show off Festool. ???
Hi Chad, I have a park track saw that is a cheap saw sold by LIDLE in the UK (saw + track £90:00). I understand that at that price it is going to be of less quality but it cuts excellently and does everything I want, and I did not have to sell a kidney to get it. I have had it for a couple of years now and as a hobby woodworker I do not use it every day, sometimes not even once a week, I did, however, check to see if I could get another track for it so that I could use it to cut full sheets of plywood and I bought one for £20:00. I did not realise you could get larger versions of the saws or perhaps it is only Festool?
That's good to know John. I agree the price for the Festool was steep. And i too, only use mine every couple of weeks. If I could do it over again, I'm not sure i would buy the Festool with all the other brands out there now.
o.0 what was this filmed with?! haha. This looks like 20 year old footage. That takes skill.
Great review Chad, it's good to know someone isn't married to Festool. A couple of thoughts, why would any company make a TRACK saw and not include the TRACK . It doesn't make sense. I think it smacks of ability to advertise a lower price. I bought the Makita about a year ago and it came with. One note on the length of the tracks. I feel the 55 inch track is the better size because it's good for cutting a 4 foot with sheet and two of them together nicely work on the 8 foot side. With the 62 inch track, when you put two of them together to do the 8 foot cut the length gets a little unwieldy. OMO.
Great point. I agree with you. A track saw is worthless without the track. I'm guessing they are thinking the customer will decide what size he/she wants. But in my opinion, you need at least 8 feet for plywood.
I have the 2700 mm track and the TS 75. The quality of cut is superb. You did not show the cut results which to me is the difference between the two. If of equal quality, go with the better price which here is the difference in warranty. I agree that the cord quide is questionable in value and to me its value is next to useless. I believe Festool chose 55 inches so that on a 4 x 8 sheet good you could cut from edge to edge with some track to guide you onto and off the surface. 55-48 =7 which will do that.
On the length of the track-if you were to cut a sheet of ply diagonally from corner to corner you would need a track longer than nine foot, the two Kreg sections transport easily and join to be just over ten feet.
A valid reason for offering a track saw without the track is a user may already have a track. Festool has been making its track saw for more than a decade. If someone is looking for a replacement saw, why force them to buy a track if the one they already have would work fine? Many of the newer brands of track saws fit on Festool's tracks (and vice versa). If someone is looking to switch brands, why force him or her to buy more track if what they already have would work?
Didn't even watch the video yet, but I'm baffled as to how this looks like 90's video material. No offense intended, I just think it's hilarious.
36T vs 48T. Either way, I'd have 3 blades: rip, fine cross cut, general purpose. I'd expect 48T to want to drift in a rip cut
Honestly why is Kreg making a track saw?
I had the Makita for 2 years. And although it’s a better bang for your buck, the Festool is better in durability AND accuracy. The double dowel hinge mechanism on the TS is much beefier then the Makita. And was 100% dead accurate out of the box.
The Makita mitre gauge marks weren’t accurate, you had to use the stops. Meaning you couldn’t rely on the angle indicators. If you set it up at exactly 90°, set the arrow to exactly zero, then move the blade to 45° on the dial and it’s an actual 43°.
I bought the Kreg and it works great on plywood and I'm glad there's no 100 dollar plastic box to deal with. Love the soft start feature and rpm control. I like Kregs website vids on this saw and all their products, oh good greif i'm a Kreg fanboy.
TS55 comes with a 48 t blade. Multiple track lengths available(well over 8 ft if needed) Clearance to the blade 1/2 inch for ts55, Kreg? Kreg makes great stuff, the real difference is quality and market. Festool is for professionals, Kreg is for consumer market. Aside from Festool and Mafell, where were all these manufacturers track saws before they had Festool to imitate
Festool does have motor failures. My friend 55 failed within 2 year's. Even with the warranty. It ran him $300.00 to fix it. He just went to another brand. He said it wasn't worth fixing. The Festools have cheap bearings and internal parts. Another guy did an internal view of the inside of Festool and it was cheap parts
.... for a positive note, at least he didn't include any obnoxious music as most do.
Festool isn't the "king" though. Mafell is waaaay better (although it's also left-handed). Mafell tracks are the best. Would like to mod the Kreg to work with Mafell / Bosch tracks.
$500 for the TS75? Ha! The TS55 with one short section of track is now priced at $699! The Kreg, with one section of (longer) track is $399. Big difference! The longer section of track, which I would be interested in for sure, costs $345 with Festool! They've completely priced themselves out of relevance to me. I'm a professional contractor in my second decade of remodeling and I can not justify their prices whatsoever!
I would not say reigning champion Festool becuase Mafell owns that title. Is it $460 at begining of vid for the Festool then $500 at end.
Like the knife on Festool better. I have Kreg stuff because I couldn't afford Festool.
Where is the TS 75 or TS 55 listed for $490?!? I think at the time this video was published it was still $590 for the 55 and $660 for 75
festools-online.com/festool/festool-saws-1/circular-saws/201394-festool-circular-saw-tsc-55-reb-basic.html
@@ChadStanton That Festool REB saw is the cordless version and does not come with batteries. And it requires 2 to get full power. Kreg Definitely is the better bang for the non production wood worker, but good luck finding one, they are sold out everywhere
It's the Kreg and festool tracks interchangeable
Chad, Good video. Although I will never buy a track saw, I feel that the Kreg would be the better route to take due to price, attachments and kickback safety. I just use my circular saw(s) with an edge guide or homemade track. Kreg's soft case, in my "humble" opinion, is better. It will hold alot more stuff and takes up less room. If you have an issue with things falling and flying around in your van then maybe you need to rethink your overall storage. Yes, the Festool storage box is much stronger but if you put a few Festool boxes in your fan then you will need another van just for your materials or finished product. I liked the comparison video. I am sure that you just helped several people out there with their decisions. (Is "Festool" German for "Over-priced Gimmick"?) >
I don't really have an issue with things falling in my van, but it could happen. Sudden stops, material shifting or the occasional slip of the hand. Soft bags are worthless in my opinion. But to each their own. I only have 2 Festools and I'm not convinced of the price vs. quality you get for it. I'm glad to see other companies making quality products at competitive prices.
Oh we all know that you load up the van and and jump all of the railroad tracks at 90 mph just to see how much air time you can get. (Hahaha).
I'm a weekend woodworker and own the TS75. One of the reasons why I refuse to get rid of my TS75; the accessories. Everyone and their mom has made and is selling an accessory for it. TSO Products' Edge guide is amazing; best $150 I ever spent. Woodpeckers has a hole boring jig that allows you to create your own MFT tables and the best part? You can use things like parf dogs to give you a make shift "Adaptive Cutting System" using your TS55/TS75. Sure, the Kreg is cheaper and I might even recommend it to my dad who wants to get into woodworking. But realistically, my table saw is the heart of my shop and my track saw plus miter saw are used to break down goods to rough dimensions.
The Ts 75 r garbage. Do an internal look in to it. Cheap bearings and cheap parts.
Festool cost lots of money in the UK
LOL the TS 55 is $600 for the 55 and $675 for the 75? where you getting the Festool for $500?
Makita??
I haven't used it but i have heard just great things about it.
Kreg saw seems built for left-handed people while Festool saw is for right-handed people.
kreg really had a hard time trimming a door.
bugger the festool , they are overpriced. I am going with kreg. Kreg is a building system.Check out the festool review by AvE on theTS55...dirty secrets
Soooo for 600 bucks you can BARELY miter a 2x! WOW. Now as far as the case. For about 40 bucks you can get a mil grade footlocker.
Yes, i am not a fan of track saws. They are very limited in what they can do. But if you do a lot of sheet goods, then that is the tool for the job.
Sheet goods is why I bought mine. Drop the sheet onto a piece of foam insulation and cut to size.
At the end of the day, you'll wish you bought the Makita Track saw
Have a Spritzer metric scaling, no riving knife, no included dust bag. Thanks, but I’ll keep my Kreg.
All that money for Festool just to cut a straight line. The Kreg will continue to get better and add new things.
great too much for feestool
