The last two weeks have been quite the roller coaster ride! From a hospital stay and a blocked colon, to some of the best news I've ever received in my life!

Thank you for talking about the bowel movements. My mom had pancreatic cancer. Her first symptoms were very specific irregular bowel movements. She never talked about it…she ended up dying from the cancer. People don’t like to talk about it but it could save a life.
So sorry to read that about your mom. Cancer is relentless and evil. I’m not afraid to talk about poop until I’m blue in the face. As long as it’s helping people, it’s well worth it.

💚You have the right attitude ! Always stay positive and move on with your life. A friend of mine had prostate and bladder cancer in 1998. The doctor didn't give him much hope because they couldn't completely remove it through the surgery. Then several chemotherapy treatments, bladder had to come out. And now 2023? He lives happily and healthily with his new partner on the Baltic Sea. He always had something planned. Cancer was "a minor matter" for him. Next week I'll do this, next year I'll do that, etc... You're just a guy like him, similar in looks, build. You can do it just like him, I'm sure! 💪😉

I can feel for you on the NG tube. I had acute panceatitus many years ago (the Wednesday before Thanksgiving) and started throwing up and couldn't stop. They had to put in a NG tube and pumped water into my stomach and then pumped it back out--for three days (so I spent the Thanksgiving weekend in the hospital). Turns out is was a viral infection--very rare. Got that viral infection taken care of and I was so glad when they pulled that tube out and I got to go home. Of course, this is no way compares to what you are going through; but having to have that NG tube put in (man is that nasty-hope I never have to experience that again) on top of everything else; that sucks. But I am so glad to hear the new prognosis and that they will get to do the surgery sooner than later. I'm still praying for you brother and am hoping to get to meet you in person some day soon.
Yeah, those tubes suck! What a horrible way to spend a thanksgiving. But better than the alternative I guess. 😬

Sorry about the troubles you and yours have endured. This is great news, though! As for the bathroom details, we all need to get over the squeamishness. After all, lack of information is dangerous, right?
