I stopped buying games on day 1. I refuse to pay $60+ for an unfinished, partial game. Sony hates their gamer base, and if we dont make a stand, they will continue to walk all over us.
It’s the pro, it’s benifited from the standard ps5 there isn’t much it’ll patch now till ps6 releases. You’re better off getting it now enjoying it vs buying it later closer to a newer console release plus it’s 2TB I forgot what they also said about patches but they get be you more storage not taking some away for the console updates. Unless you already have a ps5 you don’t even need to buy it at all. Right! right now you can even get 125$ back via Sony rewards that’s more $ back vs a game bundle that usually comes out with a free 70$ game. But I suppose if you want wait just for developers to patch the performance over all games you still need to have high end TV or monitor to fully benifit from it. But if you wanna save money and enjoy it already it’s better now vs later if you have a PlayStation card with song rewards. If not then you should wait for not much or if you’re tight on $
or wait till the demand is low, all bug is fixed, then start buying it.... lesson 1 of modern gaming: never buy a hardware / games day 1 if you don't really need those games badly, let the BETA testers and developers fix all the problems and drop the price during sales, then only you get the best experience and the game that worth the price you pay for.... I have stopped pre-ordering games and buying games at launch waiting at least three months before buying any GAME so they can actually get the patches out and get it fixed and hopefully on sale or a bit of a price drop or deal it's an older game by then but GAME sales will drop at launch if this keeps going on

I noticed in entertainment; the developers get a lot of flak. Most if not all of them are just doing what they are told to do, which means it would fall on the project manager, which I suspect, is often not a developer.
It’s to do with the SWK the game was made with. Newer PS5 games will see a substantial increase with PSSP. There is a compatibility issue with some early PS5 games, but they are working on a fix. It’s a storm in a teacup
I have the ps5 pro and I couldn't be happier. Coming straight from a ps4 there's a night and day difference, and whatever minor bugs they may have haven't really came through to me.

The Resistance Fall of Man has to be the most underrated FPS game of all time in regards to the Story Mode. The online WAS so much fun back in the day but I don't think I'll be trying it because it reminds me too much of my late brother who passed away 4 years ago and that's one of the first games we played together online then I got back into gaming. Superb game though!

If you’re buying the pro get the PlayStation credit card asap before December 15 And Sony rewards linked account You can get 125$ back in psn credit btw. You can wait till Black Friday also to maybe get a better deal. The cards free. If you have PlayStation you should have that card buying games

Pro tip, game companies rarely keep the original dev team after a game is done, so probably not the same devs, hence why patches and updates may be janky and not work right or halfassed...etc.
I wish Console games would just give us the same Advanced image quality options the PC versions have so we could tweak games a bit, turn PSSR off and use FSR instead or whatever.

Legacy of Kain: deserves a faithful remake. The story & world is so good (the best actually), but mechanics need a lot of oil. Blood Omen 2: Dug it. The longer I played the better it became. Controls are clunky now, but were sweet back in the day. It also nuked my PS2 🤘 Soul Reaver: The Goat (fight me 🫣). Get the remaster. Enjoy a piece of history. Soul Reaver 2: A let down imo. Plays like the first, but lacks the layers of it. Or possibly the color blade gimmick soured it for me. 🤷♂️
@ absolutely Soul Reaver is the GOAT! Semi open world, no in game loading screens, top tier voice acting, amazing soundtrack and the best characters ever (especially Raziel). I keep hoping for a Blood Omen remake. It would be so so good.

Bought ps5 pro on launch day , yesterday ordered ps vr 2 bundle with horizon at $350 , so hyped!!! The scalpers were a blessing in disguise in 2020-2022 , I couldn’t find a ps5 anywhere and ended up waiting it out till the pro!!! Can’t wait to play GT7 in vr at its peak performance 😊

If you have Silent Hill 2 on disc and install it without the Pro patch (don't connect to your internet) then run the game on your Pro in quality mode, you will get 15+ fps and maintain best visuals.
Assassin's creed mirage, looks worse than base PS5. I've been back and forth to make not imaging it but am not. PSSR is very murky in many places, especially distance detail..

I must be an uber casual gamer because all this graphics talk means nothing to me. All I care about is, are the games playable and in game features. Im fine with the graphics of any game. Even ps4 graphics still looks awesome to me 😂
i have not been too caught up with console news, but wow it does suck to see console users are now facing the issues us pc users have dealt with the last 3 years or so. I knew it would only be a matter of time before this would happen. Seriously, devs need to release games and updates when they are READY. I miss the days when i could buy a game day 1 and know it would be fine 99% of the time. I almost played Silent hill 2 on PS5 but im glad i didnt, played on PC mostly fine just with some small stutters at the start. PSSR is promising, but i hope this wont give devs another ticket to be lazy with optimisation. That has happened on PC already with some devs relying on DLSS/fsr and frame gen.
I am not a fan of how the artic fan thing covers up the usb ports at thr back. I need to be able to connect 4 fightsticks/wired pads at the same time so it simply will not do. Also, the product suggests (very problematically) that sony messed up the design of the console. Why else would there be a demand for such a product? And there wouldn't be a supply if there wasn't a demand.
the problem is that non cross-gen games run at very low native resolutions on all consoles, like 600p, 800p, because those games are too demanding and the consoles can't handle higher resolutions for example alan wake 2 runs at the same native res on both ps5 slim/ps5 pro, and the RT quality is lower than low settings on PC SH 2 runs at LOWER native resolution on the PS5 Pro than PS5 Slim (like 800p or something) almost all non cross-gen games are having issues of shimmering/flickering on the PS5 Pro, like SW outlaws, jedi survivor, alan wake 2, silent hill 2, dragon's age veilguard seems like the PS5 Pro is weak and the PSSR does a poor job upscaling from such low native resolutions, even FSR is way better

Build a PC instead of buying a PS5 pro. You can get a pretty good GPU for that price and the rest of the components are easy enough to find at a deal to get a 1200 PC that performs 10x better than a pro.

Even Spiderman 2 on quality mode looks worse than quality mode on pS5. Performance mode on PS5pro wins hands down but quality mode on base PS5 is the winner. PSSR as AA problems around cars and distance .

I think it’s funny how much time and effort are put into dumping on PS5 Pro not being necessary. If you were an early adopter you knew there would be only 50+ games with patches and most of them are old. If you wanted new games right off the bat you knew you’d wait. The true value of it will come when more new games will come out and are built using the actual performance boosts it can bring instead of going back into older games and optimizing it after hand. I’ve got a Samsung S90D and the Pro and have enjoyed all the PS exclusives I haven’t played yet with the PSSR boosts and much better frame rates. I’m not upset about the games that are having issues as I don’t play them and never planned on it. When GTA 6 comes out and the regular PS5 and Xbox series consoles struggle I will be just fine. I also was smart and made the upgrade way cheaper by selling my older PS5 with games I finished. Moral of the story, you either are getting it or not. No need to bash others for their use of their money. Let people be happy or upset about their own decision, cause ultimately it’s only their opinion that matters on whether it was worth it or not.

Both Star Wars and Silent Hill 2 are very badly optimized games. Star Wars in particular is a total disaster and likely to never run well on any hardware, even hardware that we will have 20 years in the future won't be enough to run that game well.

Im planning on a STEAM DECK instead . It's less expensive and a already a huge game library . And I can mod it many ways .
It also plays emulators from ps3 back, so everything you could every think of.

I have the God of War Ragnarok edition, and agree with you. I haven't had all these issues everyone has mentioned. Also, my graphics are still sick.

Lies of P on the PS5 Pro doesn’t support or use VRR. From what I’ve, the game apparently supports VRR on the regular PS5, but I’m puzzled as to why it’s not on the PS5 Pro…
I tried the Death Note game and it's fun, sort of like Among Us. Probably better with a group of people that you game with often, finding a good group is hard.
I must be an uber casual gamer because all this graphics talk means nothing to me. All I care about is, are the games playable and in game features. Im fine with the graphics of any game. Even ps4 graphics still looks awesome to me 😂
i have not been too caught up with console news, but wow it does suck to see console users are now facing the issues us pc users have dealt with the last 3 years or so. I knew it would only be a matter of time before this would happen. Seriously, devs need to release games and updates when they are READY. I miss the days when i could buy a game day 1 and know it would be fine 99% of the time. I almost played Silent hill 2 on PS5 but im glad i didnt, played on PC mostly fine just with some small stutters at the start.
PSSR is promising, but i hope this wont give devs another ticket to be lazy with optimisation. That has happened on PC already with some devs relying on DLSS/fsr and frame gen.
I am not a fan of how the artic fan thing covers up the usb ports at thr back. I need to be able to connect 4 fightsticks/wired pads at the same time so it simply will not do. Also, the product suggests (very problematically) that sony messed up the design of the console. Why else would there be a demand for such a product? And there wouldn't be a supply if there wasn't a demand.

the problem is that non cross-gen games run at very low native resolutions on all consoles, like 600p, 800p, because those games are too demanding and the consoles can't handle higher resolutions
for example alan wake 2 runs at the same native res on both ps5 slim/ps5 pro, and the RT quality is lower than low settings on PC
SH 2 runs at LOWER native resolution on the PS5 Pro than PS5 Slim (like 800p or something)
almost all non cross-gen games are having issues of shimmering/flickering on the PS5 Pro, like SW outlaws, jedi survivor, alan wake 2, silent hill 2, dragon's age veilguard
seems like the PS5 Pro is weak and the PSSR does a poor job upscaling from such low native resolutions, even FSR is way better

Build a PC instead of buying a PS5 pro. You can get a pretty good GPU for that price and the rest of the components are easy enough to find at a deal to get a 1200 PC that performs 10x better than a pro.

Even Spiderman 2 on quality mode looks worse than quality mode on pS5. Performance mode on PS5pro wins hands down but quality mode on base PS5 is the winner. PSSR as AA problems around cars and distance .

I think it’s funny how much time and effort are put into dumping on PS5 Pro not being necessary. If you were an early adopter you knew there would be only 50+ games with patches and most of them are old. If you wanted new games right off the bat you knew you’d wait. The true value of it will come when more new games will come out and are built using the actual performance boosts it can bring instead of going back into older games and optimizing it after hand. I’ve got a Samsung S90D and the Pro and have enjoyed all the PS exclusives I haven’t played yet with the PSSR boosts and much better frame rates. I’m not upset about the games that are having issues as I don’t play them and never planned on it. When GTA 6 comes out and the regular PS5 and Xbox series consoles struggle I will be just fine. I also was smart and made the upgrade way cheaper by selling my older PS5 with games I finished. Moral of the story, you either are getting it or not. No need to bash others for their use of their money. Let people be happy or upset about their own decision, cause ultimately it’s only their opinion that matters on whether it was worth it or not.

Both Star Wars and Silent Hill 2 are very badly optimized games. Star Wars in particular is a total disaster and likely to never run well on any hardware, even hardware that we will have 20 years in the future won't be enough to run that game well.

There are far more games that benefit from it and see improvements than games that have weird issues.
