      Do you have the Sub2’s coupled next to each other or each standing next to the Pro32. I haven’t had a chance to play with this all that much. One thing I miss with the model 2 is the sub fit together in the base where the Pro32 looks like it’s meant to be alone. Odd choice.

      @@cduemig1 I put them next to the 32s. I heard that’s why Bose made the sub match cable not that long. They want the sub close to the tower

      Great review, How would 2 of these sound in a living room in stereo playing mp3, & audio cd's. I use to have Bose 901's back in 87'(no longer made), and they had the largest soundstage I ever heard. trying to find something for home audio, and playing my synth keyboard.

    I have the model 2 predecessor’s and i loved rocking out. The sound is clean and works great for all venues especially with older people because it does not pierce the ear like other speakers. The bass is clean too, any dj should know that bodies absorb bass. With the bose bass it is a clean vibration. I have dj’d a fundraising event of over 1000 in an indian casino ball room and with the two speaker it sounded amazing at 60%. I played violinist cover songs during the cocktail hour and people were looking around trying to see where the band/musicians were. Thats how clean it is.
    Ive read mixed reviews before on these speakers and i really think people get confused by wedding dj vs club. A lot of people responding negative are club djs which i have been both and i can tell you 90% of club djs dont understand audio for one and two: most club djs just want all bass - maybe it is because of tradition, if im drunk out of my mind bass sets the mood sure, but if im trying to actually dance and have a good time, actually hearing the music would probably be crucial.
    I will say this - if even if you are a wedding dj and you are more of a scratch artist, you probably would not like these speakers because it balances the sound too clean. You will lose the actual feel of the scratching through these and it would make it not sound raw.
    But im glad to see your review on these new ones aaron, def wanted this perspective as i upgrade. Glad you broke it down as a wedding dj. Cheers.

    • @madness8556
      @madness8556 2 роки тому

      As a musician, these column array speakers are a game changer. They're way more compact, have a much wider sound dispersion without blasting people in front of them and they look great without cumbersome ugly speaker stands! I've just purchased a pair of white Evolve 30Ms and have a pair of LD Systems Maui 5 GOs for smaller events and battery usage and I'll never go back to using point source box speakers on stands! I must say that I was very satisfied with my ageing HK Audio Lucas Impact PA system with its very warm hifi like sound but I'm no longer that young to cart around 30kg subs and HK Audio no longer has a distributor in Australia. I sold it for a good price despite its age to a buyer who wanted HK Audio so that, along with selling other PA bits and pieces including my crappy sounding Mackie SRM350s helped me fund the new purchases. Keep up the great work Aaron!

    Have you used the pro 32 (pair) and 2xsub 2 per side for DJing? Would this be a crazy impressive sounding system? I had a much larger system that was incredible, but incredibly large, and heavy as well. I can’t seem to find much feedback on djing with this stuff. Just thinking a compact solution would be nice. But I want proper sound across the spectrum. I mix a lot of house music, but would also use this system to just listen to music on often. Would these last a long time? I want nice warm punchy deep bass and crystal clear Highs. Are they still the best in your opinion?
    Thanks.

    Aaron thank you so much for the review! I’m at a toss up between the L32+Sub2, 2x L16 and 2x RCF evox12s. I’m doing a variety of small/medium events, school dances, bdays, outdoor community events as well. I have K12.2s and an HPR 181i currently and plan to keep them for larger events.
    Portability is big for me as sometimes I have many gigs with short setup windows. I am amazed on how lightweight the Bose systems are and seem to fit my needs in that aspect.
    I have heard the L32s and L16s in guitar center and was thoroughly impressed with both. I was more shocked on how much range and power the L32 had (I felt that the single Sub2 couldn’t even keep up with the stick!) I like the L16s for their cost to power ratio compared to the L32.
    I haven’t listened to the Evox12s but hear that they are very good quality too. Having used both which do you like to bring with you on your smaller gigs? Thanks in advance for your feedback!

      @@AaronStrawn the Mauis are way more weight with those massive subs. I nearly went for a pair of Maui 28G2s before going with the Evolve 30Ms because I really liked their warm sound. The larger size and weight, the fact that I had to spend a fair bit extra for speaker bags and that their price increased by a couple of hundred dollars each also put me off, but I do have a soft spot for LD Systems and really like my Maui 5 GOs for their battery power and portability.

It does make the neighbors complain a lot less. You had an event where they limited spl. That’s likely due to neighbors but walk outside the building you don’t hear the high frequencies but the low. If the neighbors are behind you can play louder inside without complaints. It’s not really needed and I’ve only done it once but a nice trick to have.

Silly question, but If you buy 2, do you have to buy x2 subs? I’m sure 2 of the line arrays and one large “Sub2” would🦵it? Also the “Sub2” is pretty heavy, especially if you have 2 of them. I spoke to a couple of DJ’s who have used it and they said everybody from kids to grandma couldn’t resist it and when used sparingly, it really draws people to the dance floor. Obviously some venues don’t like haze but you can turn it right down and still max the bubbles and get a great effect. I know it’s about your own personality, music selection, quality of service, etc but I am giving this some serious thought. I think you could up sell as an extra too.
