I discovered this band like a year ago and I went to see their performance here in Argentina. I can´t believe she has the same exact voice as the one in the CD. What an amazing singer she is. Really good band.
A lot of people still commenting that they hope she improves don't seem to realise that this concert was in Summer 2011, when they'd just started doing these songs on the big stage, and that she's now used to the songs and improved drastically! I saw them a few times during The Unforgiving European tour and she was singing them perfectly, and with serious power! It was amazing!
This performance was soon after she came back from having her 3rd baby. The songs are more challenging in The Unforgiving and the pregnancy was unexpected. This isn't the first time she's come back from maternity with difficulty managing her voice. Pregnancy does all sorts of weird things to the female body. Each concert was better and better. By Elements, she sounded fully balanced again.
Absolutely. She does not have a bad performance, but it's PERFECTLY clear she is defending herself more than normally would. Happens. Come on, it's not easy guys. Even me by accepting this performance is not the best... I understand. There's nothing wrong with that, they are not recording machines you know? The voice has limits
People want to back of Sharon De'nadel she fucking rules and her voice is damn good, not every show you see is going to be the best example you see off someone alot of factors go into it, it's not just a case of the band itself just going on stage and the exact same thing happens every time.

I saw an interview where someone asked her if that was the case, and she denied it, saying that she went for the lower notes on this album because it suited the music better and she fancied a change. Also, she still sings the old songs as well as ever... I agree though, if it was the case that she was finding the higher notes difficult, it wouldn't be a major problem - it would be a shame but she's still an amazing singer.
Well - she is in a fairy tale of love isn't she? Also - I'm not having any of the negative comments below. She sounds as if she's NAILING it to me. She don't sound tired - she looks great and it's a classic WT performance of a classic WT song. Maybe it's people watching it who are tired. They're ALL on fire, including Sharon. Her vocal delivery is amazing (and thats the first thing that suffers if your tired). her vocals are just Epic, tight and pulsating with energy. And she moves SO great too.
@TheAguaazul01 because her voice itself has a very high tone, that´s why without training she can reach very high notes that easily, her problem is going down, like in murder or most of the unforgiving songs

Her voice hasnt got weaker pl you no idea this is her best vocal song performance and its ever better live she is in a class of her own as a female metal singer ok.

@agominator Well you're right of course :) But the high notes in Deceiver Of Fools or their other songs with those high notes, are not that powerful ;) I mean the notes in the chorus of Faster, or Iron or in the Middle of the Night :) They are high but have to be sung with total power and especially loud, while the other high notes are not as difficult to reach when you have practice and are made louder through the mic :) That doesnt mean they're not amazing :D
@MrChrizjb yeah, she´s getting better and better as days pass. I think her pregnancy kindda screwed her voice for some months but on the last shows she´s singing as amazing as always, somgs are harder by the way

Well, it's not her Voice that's getting weaker, it's the Songs that get harder. It is totally different to sing something on stage than in the studio. The new Songs have some veeery difficult and high but powerful notes at the same time. But as someone said before, after a few concerts, she will be able to sing it just as good as the Old Songs (because those she still does great) :D

I have asked this question many times myself... I'm not sure what the answer is though.... The only thing I know is that in the US the less talent you have the more the female singer tries to compensate by being naked or flashing off as much skin as possible, and somehow they do manage selling albums.... but what I don't get is that Britney Spears and Gaga have mosly female fans so why would they want to see them naked... In Europe it's all about talent, and somehow less nakedness...
Well, she just had a baby like not even a month before this performance, and the combination of giving birth and taking care of the baby and yet also performing for a crowd whilst being at least a bit vivid makes someone tired. If I'd have been her I'd have stayed out of performing for at least half a year after I'd have given birth, but at least she dares to stand there and do what she's passioned with :)
@singerprissy there's not a chance for Anette to be compared with Sharon..not even in 10000 years..you can't compare an angelic voice with a common one
She used to be one of my fav singers, but now it seems like her voice is kinda tired and sounds a lot different. Anyways she will always be my ice queen, love you sharon.
i hope that she proves better later on .. i love within temptation all those years long , and i love their new album also ,, but .. please sharon sing a little bit better on stage , because it isn't like the albums before .. (:
definately you can hear some of the music being background music to accompany and try to improve the live feeling.. still, im not sure i like this live sound compared to the studio recording, way too different.. but yeah i get they just cant give their best or their vocal cords and fingers would just blow up after a couple songs :P
