Barry Darsow is about the coolest dude doing these interviews. Could easily brag about himself like most guys but he’s humble and honest about his experiences. Long live the Repo Man.
When I met him at an Indy show years ago, his paint pen leaked all over the photo he signed for me "shoot, I wish it was red ink, you could say I bleed on it!"
I'd add Hacksaw Jim Duggan. I've never met a nicer wrestler than Hacksaw. I met OMG, and both him and Slick were super cool as well. But Hacksaw gave us all hugs. Such a genuinely warm guy.
Actually, Ax to me was the scarier. Smash to me as a kid, then seemed a bit more comical. Ax looked and came off more menacing. Even now in shoots, you can see their respective differences in personalities. Ax comes off as a bad ass stoic. Smash comes off as more laid back and chill. Fun going too.
It's nice to see wrestlers like Barry and Bill who are just sweet kind guys and aren't bitter and spiteful. Barry may think he's a boring guy but he's a breath of fresh air when seeing all the bitter guys always throwing everyone under the bus and saying nothing but bad things about others.
Being a nice guy like Barry seems to be a catch-22. It's good to be positive, but most of us aren't watching to get the typical generic, diplomatic answer like, "I'd rather not say" or "I don't remember." You don't have to be miserable and bitter by bashing everyone, but a bit of brutal honesty and revealing info is what truly makes these shoots special and why most of us watch them. We weren't there. So, these guys are our access to what went on back then.
Before every answer he thinks about what answer he is going too give.. When you watch other guys not all but some.. They kinda give an answer that you can tell and get the feeling he or she is giving an answer too make themselves look good in the situation.. Or they are just flat out untruthful, Barry comes off to me as nothing but genuine with all of his answers throughout these interviews.. Too be completey honest, when James has posted all these interview segments with Barry.. And i have watched them all, it will be a Bummer of a Day!
Man, I remember Demolition as all sizzle and no steak... They'd get the crowd roaring with the music and gimmick, as a kid I thought they were gonna come down and actually KILL their opponents. Then the match started and it was slow as hell. They were guys that didn't take bumps and they sold too much (I thought)... But as I got older I thought, it's not their fault They got over to the Max! They were able to be bad or good, heel or baby... It didn't matter. Like Flair
@@darylmixan8170 yea Bill Eadie laughed and said they didn’t take many bumps. I like them cause they did good promos and just beat the crap outta everyone .
I love Barry Darsow one great wrestler and should have been pushed way harder and and deserved a better gimmick then being a in between guy before they go off on a run with someone else .He just deserved better then what WWF made him after the great Demaltion Runn .And what a great human being need more like this guy just a class act.
As kids we hated Barry... we called him Pat Back... As a young man I was talking to a new friend about wrestlers we liked disliked etc, and he hated Barry too, he said him and his brothers called him Barry Horrible-Low-Low- Witz.
Answer to nicest guy in wrestling should have been Barry Darsow. He is so positive and loyal.

His smash promos were great. Demolition 4 life.
@@lanenordgren7641 Who knew that Barry Darsow and Smash are two different characters.
Just love this man. Been through so much. Still loves the sport. Will not throw anyone under the bus. He and Bill are a class act. Thanks
When I met him at an Indy show years ago, his paint pen leaked all over the photo he signed for me "shoot, I wish it was red ink, you could say I bleed on it!"
This guy would not rat you out under interrogation 💯
Lol😅
He’s turned into Jimmy Greaves
I could listen to him and Bill Eadie all day
Barry really doesn’t want to say a bad word about anyone. He’s a class act.
I kind of really like how he refuses to say a bad word about anyone
Barry darsow is awesome 👍
Barry and Akeem/OMG are the nicest guys in wrestling!
I'd add Hacksaw Jim Duggan. I've never met a nicer wrestler than Hacksaw. I met OMG, and both him and Slick were super cool as well. But Hacksaw gave us all hugs. Such a genuinely warm guy.
Dude, Smash was scary as hell in Demolition!
Scary? He was constantly doing stupid grimaces and sticking his tongue out during promos. That wasn't scary, it just made him look retarded.
You are killing it the way you set these out is perfect and you come across well... which can't be said about a lot of these
Barry and Bill Eadie are both class and legends. Still my favourite Tag Team of All Times.
Bobby Eaton i’m not surprised about him being one of the nicest person Jim Cornette say the same thing
Barry and Bill are awesome human beings.
Barry is the man
Demolition should be in the Hall of Fame
What a lovely man, he doesnt want to say anything negative avout anyone
Smash will always be my favorite Wrestler cause Master Fuji says so.
Hall of Fame with Bill. As both Singles and longest Tag Title Holders.
With his accent and kindly manner I think Barry should star on the next season of Fargo.
What a great guy, wish he would answer the to the point questions though
Brad Armstrong or Al Perez
Minnesota Nice
Barry "Mr. Technical" Horowitz could make a match with a sack of potatoes. That's how good he was.
I heard Dean Malenko is pretty hilarious. Just didn’t make it a gimmick.
Kind of a prick though too

This has to be the first time I have seen an interview with a wrestler who actually dodged badmouthing others.
Barry has more character than most. A real good guy.
This guy is Minnesota to the core.
Growing up, I was always genuinely surprised when Brad Armstrong lost a match
What a lovely chap

answer 1 a answer 1 b. another TRUE professional that keeps other peoples business private.
I always thought Barry Horowitz and Iron Mike Sharpe deserved a push, I always loved watching them perform
Both were territorial champs.
Its easy to tell he dont like bad mouthing anyone. Complete gentlemen!

His best payoff had to be as half of Demolition working a Wrestlemania..
Biggest smoker would either go to Harley Race of Ken Patera!😅
Jack Brisco too
surprised he says he doesn't even know who smoked cigarettes considering his good friend Rick Rude supposedly was a big cigarette smoker.
Well, I've never heard anyone describe Brett as funny...
Weird how Smash, the meanest gimmick of all time, is the Nicest Person. “we’ll kick ur stinkin’ teeth in”

You called yourself a boring interview. So wrong,YOU ARE SO HONEST!!
7:44 mini earthquake....
Well Bret was right about Strongbow. Glad him, Owen, and Savage threw his stuff in the River for fining them.
That was George the Animal Steele, not Chief Jay Strongbow...the Honky Tonk Man was the one that bitched about Strongbow.
@@Marc_Araujo ah ok. Both shoot interviews were great! HTM is always the best when he’s drunk.
George Steele
Here comes the ax , here comes the smasher we’re demolition walking disaster made in destruction is all in our name !!!!
Love Smash, hall of fame, get your crap together!
love the comment about "jobbers". everyone is a jobber for someone at some point unless you go undefeated.
He reminds me of one of the fat dudes on “Cheers”
Dude just post the full interview already damn

Harley Race smoked a lot
I hope Barry didn't get paid by the answer.
He does realize he is going to be asked questions during an interview right? He skipped about 6 in a row.
He did confess his memory is bad
Bret Hart the funniest?!?! I never saw Bret as a funny guy, always looked serious.
Smelliest wrestler question is so bad
Vaders gear reeked
Maybe just say names and have the wrestler say something about them instead? That might be more productive.
As kids we hated Barry... we called him Pat Back... As a young man I was talking to a new friend about wrestlers we liked disliked etc, and he hated Barry too, he said him and his brothers called him Barry Horrible-Low-Low- Witz.
Everyone is a jobber.

There are always questions about road agents on this channel.
Barry please answer the questions, all of them. Heaviest snoker, Jake Roberts
