- The door windows in the Jaguar XK have been quite tricky to get set up
and in the correct position. The Citroen wooden truck bed has been more
of a planning, measuring and cutting job. Let me know in the comments
any thoughts or ideas you may have. - Авто та транспорт
I have just got back from "Supercharged Saturday" at the British Motor Museum. 470 Supercharged Jaguars and 700 Jaguars in total Including my 2006 Supercharged XJR. What a fantastic show. Thanks for the update. It's astonishing how many parts have to all come together at once on your XK150.
Malcolm, Lucky you! It‘s a great venue Gaydon I've been there a few times and the Jaguar collection is superb. The devils in the detail 🤔😉Cheers Dave
XK is looking great, I love that window curve - great design feature
Brendan, Thanks very much. Me too they look great against the chrome hockey sticks & windscreen surround. It‘s a elegant car the OTS. Cheers Dave
Hi Dave. The 150 is really coming together , and like you , those door windows really are a work of art . What a stroke of luck with the pickup bed too ! Cheers !
John, The main problem is the XK interior is new to us so it‘s a softy softy approach so we don‘t screw things up or it will cost 🥴😧 Cheers Dave
Wow Dave the XK is really coming together I was remembering what a pile of rust you started with. It’s almost done as you inch closer.
The starting carb I suggest you run it as lean as possible my poor mk2 would foul the plugs badly until I leans it way down.
Great journey on the XK
Cheers 🍻 John
John, It‘s been a long haul but were getting there 🤔It would be good if i could get some viewers to go back but maybe I need to do a before & after
video so it‘s side by side and instant 🤔 I will see if I can go back and edit some of the early videos. Good point I will check that. Cheers Dave
I've puzzled over auto glass for years. Are there shops that can produce glass for older cars?
I never understood how the hot rod guys would chop the tops of cars and how they dealt with the new glass shapes and sizes.
tHanks for the video!
Yes there are companies that can reproduce at a cost but most hot rods or very old cars have flat glass which makes it easier & cheaper. Cheers Dave
Yes those starting carburetors are a bugger that’s one thing in the manual it shows you all about the starting carburetor there’s even a special section on the starting carburetor
Did I mention it’s called a starting carburetor🤣🤣🤣
Gary No shit you only mentioned it a few times 🤣😂 I see from your last video yours are still leaking, If you need some info, help or advise just
check out my carburettor videos 😉🤣😂 I can tell you one thing the interior is very time consuming and fiddley 🤔🤨 Cheers Dave
@@ClassicCarCave if your video stops them leaking I’ll watch it.
Gary, No it won‘t stop them leaking but it will show you how the professionals do it 🤣😂😉 Cheers Dave
