Girl, this video has come right on time!!! I remember when I wanted to start doing nails and found your page. I bought EVERYTHING you recommended, including the acrylic powder, nails, and drill. I recently ran out of my Mia's Secret after 1 and 1/2 years and need some new acrylic. I wasn't going to buy anything until I saw this video.

Natali, you must be a mind reader. I just got 12 colors of gel polish, and didn't get a base coat. I saw a few other videos, and even on Google, saying that a base coat couldn't be skipped, regardless of application on acrylic or natural nails. Thank you for answering my question!

If acrylic nail has damaged my real nails, how long should I wait before reapply a new set?
It depends on how damaged they are. I was a nail tech for 25+ years, I changed my own set once a month, did fills in between. Like most nail techs, I just popped off my old set instead of doing the right thing and filing them down and soaking them off. I always used tips and acrylics, I've always hated forms. So, if your nails aren't too damaged, just thin and rough, buff the roughness off, apply new tips and go from there. P.S. I stopped using acrylic 3 years ago this week and switched over to hard gel, soft gel and poly gel. I let my own nails grow out pretty long, eventually I file off the gel or soak it off, cut my own nails off and put on fresh tips and gel and start over growing them out again. So far, pretty much no damage to my own nails. While I love gel because it feels so light and natural, I do miss doing acrylic sometimes. Especially when I watch Natali's videos.
