The intonation sounds perfect at the upper frets, that is hard to find budget classical guitars. hopefully it’s consistent between the ones being shipped out to consumers.
not really there are some cases with bad intonation and bridges coming off but thats probably bc of the massive request this guitar has and the loads of preorders which forces the workers to work more inefficient in order to get the guitars out in time my recommendation is to wait until they arent so hyped anymore so they can get better consistent quality
As much as I love Dagan I would have loved to hear someone play something else on it, some fingerstyle would have been nice considering that's how much nylon guitars are played. Still nice to see Dagan anway!
check out Camarón de la Isla, specially with Paco de Lucía and Tomatito, THAT'S playing guitar. Polyphia is cool if you're into Pokémon battle music tho.
I've noticed quite a bit of fret buzz on this guitar in a couple of videos. It looks great and I've been wanting an excuse to revisit the nylon but I'm a bit concerned it's not a particularly forgiving guitar if each note isn't played absolutely peach perfect.
It seems like there's truss rod access at the base of the neck, probably just needs a good setup and nut adjustment! At least I hope so, love what this model offers
@@yeetyfreety6938now that you mention it, yeah spanish songs tend to have that twangy buzz that is common in most songs. Especially on more technical parts
Ibanez WAS a Mexican guitar company. Then the main company shut down, so now the Ibanez we know is the one that used to build the Spanish models for the Japanese folk.
Bit of feedback when Dagan was covering the spec's....might need a gate pedal but Ive been looking for a nylon string but something a bit spesh. I'm keen!
I find the Cordoba Stage to be far more interesting than the Polyphia one tbh. It (Cordoba Stage) has depth and control over your tone while Tim's new one seems to always sound like it's being played through cardboard regardless of the amp.
The cordoba stage has also been getting a lot of negative and controversial feedback. The accessibility higher up on the fret board is not good, the action beyond the 12th fret gets brutally high, and the neck is thicker and wider than the tod10. Tim's is definitely more suited for the average electric player whereas the cordoba probably more suited for the average flamenco/ classical player
I have the stage rn and the frets are cut off at the top so its not actually a 22 fret and its hard to get up to that range but other than that it sounds pretty good
Check the Spanish brand Bros Guitarras model Intiluna!! I think the new Ibanez are very similar to some Spanish guitars, only difference is they're a bit thinner, which is fantastic for electric players!! But it's nothing new.
Love the design and unique concept for this guitar, but what's with the weird buzzing in the intro? Can't tell if it's the strings, pickups or the guy holding it
@@joshsinclair539 ah, dang. Thank you for the info, was gonna buy this but maybe that Abasi concepts nylon might be the move, although i’ll bet it’ll be much more expensive. This is huge value for the money tho
And rarely ever electric either for direct in and effects playing. It's one of the main reasons I ordered one. It can do everything pretty damn well, especially with those Fishmans.
Not sure what kind of flamenco you mean, but this Ibanez will for sure be too weak and thin sounding for Flamenco especially for rhythm guitar. Even though I can hear some nuevo flameco in Tim's music, it's rather on a simple flamenco level just touching its surface a little.
Not sure if anyone can help me out here but I play a lot of acoustic gigs but I'm primarily an electric player as a traditional acoustic tends to bother my hands sometimes. I've been thinking about this guitar for a while but I don't play any kind of classical style. I just strum chords, play lead and occasionally finger pick. Would this be a guitar that I could play a whole 3 hour show with playing your basic covers and it still sound good or should I just continue to stick with the traditional acoustic? Thanks!
It could, and most works never notice. You should be aware though that it is classical/flamenco focused guitar overall while being a jack of all trades in other ways, but it does have a distinctive tinny sound that those types of guitars tend to produce. You could offset it with the preamp and electric side though.
I'm not buying this model, but has another nylon electric coming in. The thicker nylon string with a slightly narrower neck is really attractive for me as a classical player, and imo you can get some cool jazz tones from guitars like these.
Can you do a test without the amplifier. I find it kind of hard to get an honest opinion about an acoustic guitar if it is only tested with an amp... I want to play it without an amp before I would buy it. The cordoba stage is advertised as a nylon string electric guitar. But this one is advertised as acoustic guitar. which in my opinion it is not, but it is a nylon string electric instead.
Playing a nylon with a pick? 😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅 Players should realise an electro acoustic only sounds good through an acoustic amp. These guitars are cheap at €680 but you’ll need an acoustic amp. I’ve had Hohner solid body electro acoustics over 30 years and they suck without the proper amp. You might get away with it through a desk or PA mixer for live gigs.
With all due respect to peoples efforts, these attempts at a thin amplified nylons are all fairly useless; maybe something like this might work in a live tango group in a small venue. I've found ir simulations on an electric sounds better; but you can't hide the fat that the attack of a solid body is totally different to that of a deep classical guitar. It sux to be honest. I wish there was something. Maybe soon.
Its obviously got a Piezo pickup inside the body that amplifies the sound ,as i was thinking how can a nylon guitar be electro acoustic lol also the Polyphia kid is ok but he cant bend strings like Slash
Lol what??? Tim Henson is one of the greatest modern guitar players, slash is from a totally different era. But Tim can flawlessly play any gnr riff or melody if he wanted to. Slash couldn't play what polyphia plays. Totally different style.

It's harder to play a clean note with a nylon string in my experience. You have to fret the notes closer to the frets than on a steel string.
