Same here. I made a lich alt.. got it 25... and was like nope not feeling it. Switched back over to my Wraithlord Necro for abit... Then logged into PoE2 after i got bored.
My strat (other people do this too, I don't claim to have invented it): You do campaign up until you get to The Oracle's Abode in act V. Do the side quest (sapphire tablet) to unlock the waypoint for temporal sanctum. At that point, you'll be level ~35. Then go straight to monos. Do monos until you're 50-something, and feel like finishing the campaign. At that point, do temporal sanctum to skip to act 9, and just do all of the sidequests and finish the story through the +1 attributes. There are exactly enough side quests in this method to get you the rest of your passive points and idol slots.
Did the same, but tested now his Way and its not bad.Especially with the first Char in the Season this Way is faster unless you´re lucky with a Sanctumdrop. And the Exalted Drops on the Way are in your Levelrange, for me a big Plus. But Twinks go to Monos as fast as they can.
Thats a one way to do it. I usually run everything until a quest that sends you right to the temporal sanctum, I do that, exit in chap9, and finish all sides and kill last boss for a tasty passive point. It's pretty easy, easy to remember the route, and I even do it on my first char in the season (i had to run few monos until I got key tho).
Thanks for the tips Perry. I'm going to level a spellblade after writing this comment and I'm going to try your route out! I wanted to add my own strategy for leveling new characters: 1: acquire Firestarter's Torch 2: acquire aoe skill 3: blast campaign as for the rest of the gear, realistically, anything with movement speed is all that matters - just zoom through in full glass cannon mode and get it done asap. with regards to idol slots and passive points, other commenters have covered this so good luck with your leveling dudes!
Nice, thanks for the info. Personally, I stop campaign progression as soon as I unlock the Temporal Sanctum entrance. There are plenty of skill/idol unlock quests in Act 9 on the way to the item factions, so running around Heoborea to finish them feels like a lot of wasted time. Can either do the TS dungeon skip immediately, or spend some time leveling in the first mono until my character is ready for T1 Julra.
the only reason i don't advocate that (and why I don't advocate for envy in Normal Monoliths) is that my character is too low level. That's around level 32 or 33, which for me feels like a bad time to start doing monoliths. Taking 2minutes to kill a Profane Flesh in an Echo is never a fun time
@@PerrythePig I run Soulfire Bastion for level and unlock the arena/dummy, then I jump in monolith. Heoborea truly is a waste of time since 1.0 made chapter 9 mandatory to access faction. Might as well grab the last side quest there.
Thanks Perry! As some of your comments have posted, and how I've too done it. Where I first saw the method: ua-cam.com/video/Gxi5Km09zPo/v-deo.html Go to Act 5, turn in the quest that takes you back to the Temporal Sanctum, do monoliths until you can complete TS (level will vary on build) typically around lvl 50-55, exit to Act 9 and complete the act for all Idols and points.
Not using glyph of envy to skip normal monoliths is insanity ! If I don't have 5 glyphs of envy when I get to normal mono, I go farm them on my main instead. Getting your blessing slots instantly is sooo much better and if I can't handle empowered monos, I'll go back and farm a normal timeline where I need a better blessing. I used to feel like I was wasting my time in normal monos when I rerolled (and I'm an altoholic), but glyph of envy is a lifesaver.
usually i do the campaign up to where that osprix tower bonus quest is, then i have 15/15 and 8/8, then monolyths. didnt know temporal sanctum skipped that later chapter; ive just been running through the last bit of the campaign at like lvl 70 because i wanted the +1 stats. neato
Same, where are we missing a quest at, anyone? I am 15/15 and 7/8 after the tree stompy guy, and I thought I did all the quest up till then, but I am mssing one somewhere?
I can start a new character and get all idols/passives and be level 50+ in one play session. Or two short sessions. I do this via dungeon skips because at the end of each dungeon skip is at least one idol/passive unlock quest. Then I level up via monos
I don't even do any quests in chapter 9. I just walk into the area of the MG or COF factions and get the waypoint. I'll do the quests later when I get bored with the monos.
I actually do use the dungeons for campaign skip however when I get to each dungeon I do the side quests that unlock passive points and idol slots that are near each of the dungeons then I do the dungeon. I usually have almost all my passive points before I do temporal sanctum
Get to tree boss use temporal sanctum key run to MG or COF WP Then run mono's or if you want speed run to chapter 9 boss( only yellow quests) or do that when you level up some in mono's for 1 all stats
Im level 77.. I am trying to get that new Axe/Shield that only drops in Reign of Dragons Axe Echoes.. I found 1 Axe echo and now i did enough can kill the boss.. not sure how to move on or if it will punish me do try and farm for it. Its so confusing TBH figuring out targeted drops for build making items. LIke if I just kill the Echo boss and move on.. im not sure if im powerful enough.. or if it then even matters as I have beating all the echos with my random starter build
+1 all attributes, because of this I follow the campaign until wengari fortress, then skip via Temporal Sanctum and finish the campaign from there to get everything.
basically, the only use case is to kill a Monolith Boss. Want to kill a mono boss? Do one echo in that timeline. Pick up a random item from the ground. Slap it with Glyphs of Envy until you have enough stability on your timeline to fight the boss. Proceed to fight boss.
i'm slacking in the YT Shorts department. Also, you'd be shocked (or maybe not surprised at all) at the kinds of things people ask questions about. If this content takes less than 10 seconds to make sense to you, you probably aren't the target audience, which is okay
its 1 monolith shorter, and the blessings grant you player power. The blessings on the left side are "increased chance to find xyz", which doesn't help you progress.
I wish they would allow adventure mode once you have done campaign once. Having run campaign a couple of dozen times, I am over it.

oh wow, I posted my comment, updated the page and saw this one explaining the same route! that's so cool!
Yeah this is the route everybody was told when the game dropped by all big CC

Farming n-Mono is something I can never do
Most Builds get in trauble when starting Empowered Monos around Level 60. He is right, missing Levels are the Problem.

Hmm. I'm definitely missing some side quests somewhere along the way. I always have to take Liath's books to Thetima to finish my idol slots.

I think after you beat a normal monolith on an alt you get access to the greater blessings as well.

I love Last Epoch but man, I really wish there was a complete campaign skip similar to how D4 does it. The campaign sucks and I’m tired of doing it 😭
I like this approach tbh
Thanks mr pig 🦔🍺

As my father used to say, stay clear of the needle.
One for me ; at some point soul bastion is great for exp and give u a nic gear power up potentiality
Do u have a vid for that bear build ?
don't you miss out on the passive points if you skip the campagn?
What about passive point/skill point for killing last boss in campain?

After the tree I'm still missing 2 idol quest???😊
you have access to a sufficient number of side quests. Check the side quests you have active -- you'll need to do one or two of them.
I'm a noob but seems like movespeed is everything in this game. even worth using the grab ring over evade lol
Beating the campaign gives you +1 to all attributes, so is still worth doing
Don't you get 1 to all skills in the final mission
+1 all attributes, because of this I follow the campaign until wengari fortress, then skip via Temporal Sanctum and finish the campaign from there to get everything.
@@cathexiad7729 yeah i meant that, +1 all attributes
So .... play the game with twink gear?
I'm not at my computer, but how do I use glyph of envy

amazing 12 min video that basically takes 20 seconds to say something.
