I felt the sameway I was actually working at Rap alot then, when they got the deal with Asylum back in like 2004, they had face, bun b as a solo artist, pimp c as a solo artist, zro, devin the dude, and the geto boyz back as a group. I thought it was best to put out like 1 album every year or every 9 months let that album shine then relase the next album . Like Deathrow did with the chronic and doggystyle, instead j and chief put out them albums back to back to back like master p was doing with no limit. I really think if he would of put them albums out spreaded out , then they would have been more successful! I said that way back then

2005 was a great year for Texas hip hop.
The previous year belonged to Atlanta, and after 2005 it went right back to atlanta.
I always figured the major labels got out of business with Houston Texas rap, because they knew they couldn't sucker them out their money, like they could an Atlanta rapper.
People in Houston were already Platinum, independent.
So at least we got those great albums during a peak.
