One thing that people fail to understand everytime is that the differently abled people dont need our sympathies! I mean seriously? They are stronger than us. They have gone through so much to reach that level of strength.
What they actually need is our respect. The day we start treating them just like us, we will see a new beginning
The actresses name is Anmol Rodriguez. She has also done a TedTalk. Her parents were fighting and her dad threw acid on her mother and some of the acid fell on her. She was only 2 months old at the time. She has since grown up as an orphan.

i just remembered a dialogue from got "Never forget what you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like an armour, and it can never be used to hurt you."
I keep rewatching this video from time to time and I get teary everytime towards the end of the short film and every time I smile seeing Jaby trying to wipe away his tears. That is so sweet. Loved your reaction almost as much as I love the film itself.
The story of the aunty Ji reminds me so much of a poem by W.B Yeats called An Acre of Grass. There are so many preconceived notions in a society of how people in old age are supposed to behave. They are not supposed to have any passions, hobbies or desires. But this short film beautifully shatters that notion through the character of Shabana Azmi.
She is shabana Azmi ...Not an ordinary actor . She is great .
The Lady is a living legend, Shabana Azmi is India's Meryl Streep.

The story revolves between two person of different age groups, different situations, different dreams but one thing which was same the message for your determination and your believe that no matter what comes in your way you shouldn’t stop to reach your goals.
Mrs. Shabana Azmi (as aunty ji) and Anmol Rodriguez (Geetika) was so good and did justice to their role and character. Really Loved it.

We love achara because her reactions are genuine and totally unbiased. Jaby thinks about the action, technical aspect, taking, etc but achara is there just to watch and react which is great. Jaby and Achara are the perfect pair to do reaction videos.

she's a acid attack victim since the age of two when her father through acid on her mother in between a fight... her mother succumbed to her injuries, she was scarred for life. through this, she survived and shines beautifully in her own way....

I really enjoyed the movie. The subject, the direction and the outstanding acting by both Shabana Azmi and Anmol made it so relatable. As for the tattoo I believe it's not manipulative. The tattoo being her husband's name simply gives meaning to her intentions and answers her son's questions of it being a waste of money and her starting to have weird habits. Love the attention to detail. Big thumbs up 🙂 and eager for more.

Shabana Azmi. You have seen this power House performer in Neerja but for some reason you spent time harping about Sonam Kapoor's non existent acting talent in that review . She is a marvelous actor. Right from her young days. The other girl is Anmol an actual acid attack survivor. Such an inspiration.
Also Parsis are love. Kiana Madani's distant cousins coz the Parsi community are Iranian descent.

PS : I have a friend who's a survivor of 3rd degree burns when he was 2 years old due to fire accident and lost his biological parents in the same and spent considerable time in orphanage...
