Both are 1/2 hp, liftmaster tells you the 8550 is 3/4 hp equivalent, but I recently discovered its 1/2. And dc motors tend to be a tad slower then ac motors
TheBrazilianHotDog724 I have a question Do you know how I can make the one touch to close on our keypad worked?! I changed the batteries and ever since than it’s never worked
Man I remember watching this when it first got uploaded!
I would recommend this to anyone
Why does the 8550 makes a crack noise when it's closing
When you replaced it what opener did you get first😅
That 8550 sounds horrible. The 8365 sounds great though
I have three of the 8365s. Love them. The other DC motor one sounds too boring.
8365 is in my top 3 openers definitely. I love mine too!
why does the 8550 sound like that
Because of how heavy the glass panel on the door is
Can you fix the 8550
I replaced it last year
Hey, just a quick question about the 8550, but why does the motor sound the way it does? normal 8550’s sound different... i’m so confused
It's probably just from having lifted my heavy door for five years.
TheBrazilianHotDog724 Ok now i get it, and the motor is slowly giving up, I’m assuming. 😂
Haha, I don't want to think about that...
But that still could be the sad truth
I'm shopping for openers now. It sounds like the belt drive is quieter than the chain drive. Is this true?
It is. Belt drives are typically more expensive, but they are well worth the money if you want a DC motor with battery backup.
I have a best garage door opener
The best Garage door opener is Ryobi
Anthony Olsen no it’s not
Tom Kojetin I’m crazy 😝

Small door is louder than big door
Is this a 1/2HP or 3/4HP seems fast vs the 8365

TheBrazilianHotDog724 the neighbours newer chamberlain similar to yours says it’s 3/4HP seems like a normal 1/2HP to me
Cause it’s a dc unit
TheBrazilianHotDog724 I have a question

@@Boywithdakicks press and hold the 1 and 9 buttons until the lights blink. You can watch my keypad programming video to see.
@@TBHD724 so i tried that the lights never blinked, the keypad is programmed but i have to enter the code everytime to close the door
